good bike even with the delivery times

very good communication and very happy with the bike, only issue was delivery time which i knew would be long but sadly longer than even the first quotation. Saying that i would recommend the bike and if you can stand the wait and are looking for a well put together bike at an extremely good price then this is probably the one for you.
i will say my emails were responded to quite promptly and for the most of the time accurately.

Do not trust them, they lie constantly

Have just received bike after about 4 months. Delayed in Red Sea, fair enough. In customs , ok. Eventually after chasing them for info we have your bike, pay the £49 delivery fee before 5 and it’ll be picked up tomorrow. Done. That was Tue last week. Got a phone call on Thursday to say collected, will be delivered Fri. Oh wait a minute it might be mon as your in Scotland. No I’ve paid for overnight shipping and live in central Scotland not the highlands where yes deliveries can take an extra day. Was meant to get tracking from courier got nothing. No delivery Friday, nobody answering online chat Sat or Sun or Mon at 0900. Eventually got a message saying chat service only operates from 10.00. Messaged at back of 10 someone phoned me back, their first question have you had bike delivered? Obviously they had no idea where bike was. Told them they had till end of day before I went to credit card company and raised a dispute on payment. Was told bike would be delivered Tuesday, I put a time limit of 11.00 on it. Bike arrived 10.30. Happy days. Asked delivery driver if he knew when it was picked up, yea that’s the date on the label when we collected it . Monday ie collected yesterday and shipped over night as it should have been a week ago. Messaged Gin to say I knew it had only been collected yesterday and I want a refund for delivery cost. They argued it was collected last Thursday, and must have been re labelled yesterday. Liars. Apparently their warehouse only opens on a Wednesday and Thursday so couldn’t have been collected Monday. Funny it stated in email if you pay delivery before 5pm it will be collected next day, nothing about only opening 2 days a week. I was meant to get phone call back but nothing again suspect this to be a lie.

Your bike was picked up from our warehouse last Thursday and we have both documentation and photos confirming the handover to APC Delivery. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected issue at the courier's end, all last week's deliveries were delayed until Monday and Tuesday this week. This kind of delay is rare but sometimes happens with our third-party couriers, which are beyond our control.

We're truly sorry for any frustration this has caused and are reviewing the communication breakdown to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Bike now received excellent unit really happy with it to be honest, the chargers a bit cheap but they do the job, bike quality is good and smooth through the gears and overall good control over the power controls, the only reason for the star loss was the length of time in delivery so please order in plenty of time ready for using, really good value for money much better than the ones the lads have bought from Halfords decatholon etc.

Please please don't purchase from these, their SHOP is a storage center on the dual carriageway, waited 4 months and still no sign of the bike with the usual excuses they have given to everyone!
Don’t listen to the planted paid for reviews which are obvious to spot!

We do not have a shop like several of the leading online bike brands. Our warehouse is based in Reading. Additionally, we have our partner shops in London, Wales and Scotland where you can go and check out the bikes yourselves if required.

I am delighted with my new GinX bike

I am delighted with my new GinX bike. I have now had the bike for 7 weeks and can say its great. I am 78 and 18 stone, I have a disability so can't pedal so I just press a button on my new GinX bike and away I go. the bike goes about 22mph I probably do 10 miles a day and charge the bike every 4 days.
Kevin the salesman was excellent, and very helpful.
the downside was I had to wait 6 weeks for the bike to be delivered after being told it would be 3, but the bike is definitely worth the wait! I also changed the lights because the ones that come with it are not very bright.
I would highly recommend this bike to anyone

Cycle to Work Scheme Nightmare

I used my Cycle to Work scheme as I was excited to purchase a Gin e-bike. When my certificate was generated via cyclescheme.co.uk, I went to order my bike but Gin e-bikes had disappeared from the list of retailers. I contacted them to find out what was was happening but that was 2 months ago and I keep getting told to wait a few more days for Gin e-bikes to resolve a technical issue with cyclescheme.co.uk. I am now paying for a bike but am still unable to purchase it. Please can you get this sorted out!

Great bike and first class customer service

The bike is excellent, it's well worth the money but what is also excellent is the customer service.

The communication is first class and they are a amazing company to deal with.

As for the bike, it's well made, it's really good quality and overall fantastic.

250w motor is powerful and battery life is superb.

Recommended this to anyone.

Great bike but be prepared to wait for your order

The bike is excellent and I am very pleased with my purchase. Everyone at the company I spoke to were extremely helpful. My only gripe was the amount of time it took from purchase to delivery. Approx 13 weeks. I was told at time of ordering that delivery would be within 4 weeks. A note to all potential customers. If they do not have stock in the UK be aware that you may have to wait quite a while for delivery

Had my GIN X for alittle while now..

Had my GIN X for alittle while now... having said in a previous feedback it takes awhile for your bike to get to you. In my case it did too... however now I have it I use it almost everyday, having initially got it for work use,it far exceeded that. This company for whatever reason is taking so many orders for this bike it's quite a wait for them to fulfil... please be patient it's a fantastic bike and yes you can customise to your hearts content with add ons.

Warning - Buyers beware!

Warning: Avoid GIN E Electric Bikes - Terrible Experience from Start to Finish

If you're considering buying a GIN E electric bike, do yourself a favour and steer clear! My experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same ordeal.

I ordered a bike months before my July holiday, specifically for the holiday, thinking I’d have plenty of time to enjoy it. Fast forward 14 weeks and the bike still hadn’t arrived. That was only the beginning of the problems. When the bike finally did show up, it was missing all the extras that had been promised at the time of purchase. After multiple attempts to chase them down, the extras finally arrived weeks later.

But the real nightmare began the day the bike arrived. The bike’s battery wouldn't charge. After more delays, GIN E sent us a new charger, but surprise the same issue persisted. Then, after even more back and forth, they sent a *new battery, but once again, it wouldn’t charge. It’s now been weeks, and I still haven’t been able to use the bike at all.

The customer service is abysmal. Good luck trying to get in touch with them, because their helpline is a black hole. Their chat support is a joke — the handlers clearly have no idea how to resolve the issue and give generic responses at best. The user manual is completely useless and provides no guidance for resolving technical issues. We’re now boxing up the bike to send it back for good.

Thankfully, Visa is stepping in to give us a full refund, but I can't overstate how frustrating and time-consuming this entire process has been. If you're lucky enough to get a bike that works, good for you — but don't count on it. In my experience, GIN E bikes are unreliable and the customer support is non-existent if you want to return the bike.

Save yourself the trouble. There are reliable British companies out there selling electric bikes with proper customer support. Go with them and avoid the headache and disappointment I’ve had to endure.

An update, after asking numerous times for a refund and an exact address to return the bike with no joy we contacted Visa for a refund. Customer Support continued to tell us we needed to look at the programme and change the programme using the user guide with no details of how to programme anything. They proceeded to send an unprofessional YouTube clip of a customer bumbling their way through the programme setting giving no guidance at all. Visa were happy to send a refund based on the fact that we had had numerous issues with the bike and to top everything, the address for this business is a self storage facility! VERY suspicious!

Can't believe how much you lied about sending me the bike you showed pics of the van saying it will be delivered in 48 hours been over 2 weeks not even a tracking number. Just read reviews every one says the same thing lies and lies

I’ve had this bike about a month now

I’ve had this bike about a month now, I live near to the Lickey hills, so a fairly hilly area, but I have to say the bike beats my expectations, I’m 70 years old, yet since using the bike, I feel really comfortable going a distance and hills have not yet been a problem. well worth the wait which was quite long but very happy so far.

Yes I add to wait a bit for my bike only about six weeks
When my bike came it looked great and when I took it out for the first time it was Strange to ride but now I’m used to it it’s a great Bike I love it and it is worth the wait and money

My son ordered a bike in February 2024. It never arrived despite promises. He has contacted them again to get his money back after cancelling his order as they assured him he would get a full refund. He is still waiting. Financial ombudsman next. 😡

Hopefully, this gets your attention: this is an online, **scam**, all the "reviews" and 5 stars are paid for, this bike probably doesn't exist and I'm now like all the people in the 1-star reviews: didn't receive a bike and the refund never came (even with the huge fee they mention in small prints). Do not waster you money.
