We started Goodnature for good reason: to see endangered wildlife in New Zealand and around the world flourish again. This means getting on top of a bunch of pests - rats, stoats and possums for starters. We also want to go about it kindly, without using nasty toxins. Have had it 5 months
Have had it 5 months, not a single kill. Have had it set next to my compost where I have a known rat nest, and they had been evading my normal traps. I have been checking the bait and functionality of the A24 a couple times now, also leaving out the test strips (which were nibbbled) and still nothing. The last week I gave my normal traps another go (all within the same 2m area of compost and A24) and have caught 5! Absolutely sub-par experience

Hi Michael, I'm sorry to hear you haven't had success with your A24! It sounds like your compost bin may be acting as a competing food source, meaning the rats will eat what is in there as opposed to the lure and as such not go into the trap. This is due to how differently the trap works to snap traps, don't have as high of an interaction threshold, meaning the rats don't have to interact with the trap as much to activate the snap trap compared to the A24.

Very versatile and caught rat in just two days
I am very pleased with the results from my Goodnature A24 rat and stoat humane trap. The device was more versatile when mounted to a wooden frame, positioned where rats previously dug-up pot plant soil and lured with whole chestnuts for bait. The device caught a feral rat after just two days and the visiting cat couldn't stop sniffing the carcass and licking its lips. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to you!

I was after the blood lure and blood pre-feed - but it was "sold out" so opted for my second best choice Nut Butter instead.
The actual website ordering and payment process was very good.

Waste of time and money
This product did not perform at all from day one - only ants eating the bait. Complete waste of money and would not recommend this product. Unfortunately I purchased before I saw the Fair Go programme otherwise wouldn't have wasted my time effort and money. Not at all happy.

We visually see mice and rats but have never killed one with the trap
Previously we were catching 7 mice in 7 days.
Really disappointed ☹️

Hi there, there are a number of reasons that rats may not be being caught in the A24 such as competing food sources or location of the trap.
