Peter was amazing in stetting up a tour for us to meet our wants and keep it with in budget. He was so prompt in responding to my emails and called when he said he would even with a 6 hour time difference. Looking forward to touring Ireland in the fall.

I recently worked with Peter to plan my Scottish Rail, Castle and Distillery Tour (September 8–16, 2026), and I could not be more pleased with the experience.

From the very beginning, Peter took the time to truly understand my interests — scenic rail journeys, historic castles, and immersive whisky experiences — and thoughtfully refined the itinerary to align perfectly with what I wanted. Together we crafted an incredible journey that includes Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and underground ghost tour, Stirling Castle, Inverness and Loch Ness, the Jacobite Steam Train through the Highlands, Glen Affric, Culloden, Speyside whisky touring, and a wonderful Wde Whisky tasting experience in Edinburgh.

He answered every question thoroughly and helped fine-tune the details — from hotel selections like Motel One Edinburgh-Royal and Craigmonie Hotel in Inverness, to rail passes and guided experiences — ensuring the entire journey flows seamlessly.

We are planning a trip to Scotland in September 2026. There are 3 of us - myself, my husband and a friend. We were originally going to plan the trip ourselves, rent a car and do all of our own planning and booking. My husband saw the Go Rail Tours website information and we decided to contact them to get some information. I had a bit of difficulty at first with connecting with someone but as soon as I made contact with Peter it has been wonderful. Peter has been excellent at listening to what we want to experience from this trip. He has been extremely patient as we have made adjustments to suit our needs and our budget. He has explained things in good detail and I’m confident that if we need to make any changes/adjustments down the road that he will work with us to make this trip an amazing experience for us all.

We were drawn to the rail tours and requested more information. Adam listened carefully, gave us options, and suggested the private driver tour for our small family group, which will allow us to be mostly self-directed. He helped us design a trip that hit all the places we really wanted to go, plus recommended other activities we wouldn't have known about. He was very patient with all our changes and questions and provided more than enough detailed information for us to make decisions.

We worked with Peter for our first ever trip to Ireland and to Scotland. He was very conscientious and considerate of all our needs. We are older adults and cannot do a lot of touring and he made sure we had good accommodations, but will also get to see the sites we want to see both in Ireland and Scotland .
