I purchased airline tickets on 09/04/2025 through GOTOFLYER’s website for myself, my wife, and my daughter, for travel from San Francisco to Houston. I was charged $392.51 and received a booking reference.

The next day, a GOTOFLYER representative called and demanded an additional $600 to “confirm” the tickets. Suspicious, I contacted United Airlines directly and discovered that no reservations existed under our names.

This company took my payment without issuing valid tickets, then tried to pressure me into paying more. This is a deceptive and fraudulent practice. I have already reported the transaction to my bank for a chargeback and will be filing complaints with the DOT, FTC, BBB, and United Airlines.

Warning to others: Do not trust this site. They will take your money, fail to book your flights, and then demand more. Save yourself the stress and book directly with the airline or a reputable travel agency

Good morning.... Yesterday August 23rd I made some reservations through the jetcost website that redirected me to gotoflyer. They called me after 1 hour of charging for the reservations to tell me that the reservations were no longer available. So they tried to offer me more expensive ones which I did not accept. Gotoflyer decided to give me a refund but with a penalty of $45 per booking since gotoflyer alleges that America Airlines charges for the same things which is not true. Gotoflyer charges me the money. Gotoflyer is advertising the same flight with the same departure time from the same airport with the same stopover and arrival time to Puerto Rico with the same price. To me understand that that is a SCAM. I am writing to you to take action on the matter since I am going to make this public on social networks. 

Trouble getting information on my flight

I booked two round trip tickets. I called to make a change to return trip, they advised it would be an additional cost. So, I left the original itinerary and confirmed that they would be making no changes. A few minutes after that call they called me back and advised that they were only able to book my outgoing flight not my return. They advised that they were able to book my return flight if I paid an additional fee of $1800. I explained to them that I paid for two roundtrip tickets, not two one way tickets. They explained that was my only option since they had already ticketed my outgoing flight. I told them that there actions amounted to fraud and that I would be reporting them to my credit card company for unauthorized charges. They hung up on me.

Then they sent me the following email as if to insinuate that they were having difficulties in contacting me when they just called me from this number - +1 (315) 538-9510:

Dear Customer,
We are writing to inform you about the status of your flight booking request with booking reference #XXXXX
We're currently processing your flight booking (Reference #XXXXX) but have been unable to reach you at the provided number. Could you please provide an alternative contact number for further discussion?
This will enable us to promptly address any questions or concerns you may have and finalize your booking to your satisfaction.
Please feel free to reply to this email with your alternative contact number, or you can reach out to our Support Team directly at our toll-free number 1-844-482-4806.

Looks like I have the same issue as everyone here. Booked a flight and right after I received a phone call stating they were not seats available. "offer me an option" for another flight yet they were asking for $480 additional. I asked for the Supervisor and she offer no help. They asked for a cancelation fee when the reservation never exists. Does anyone has any luck disputing with the bank for non-receipt of merchandise or service not provided? Poor customer service.

I had a horrible experience with this website and will never use it again. After I booked my tickets, someone from their customer service called me to say that while the return flight was confirmed, the departure flight was canceled because “there were no seats available.” This made no sense since the booking was already confirmed!

They gave me two unfair options:
1. Change the departure date and pay $120 more per person.
2. Keep the same departure date and pay a ridiculous $225 more per person.

When I refused both options, they offered a refund with a $48 penalty fee per person, even though it was their fault.

To make things worse, the customer service agent was extremely rude and refused to connect me with a supervisor, despite my repeated requests.

This whole situation felt like a scam. Avoid this website at all costs.

If there were negative stars they would get them. The absolute worst!

Complete bait and switch. They promoted $1060 for 5 seats and then call me telling me there are only 3 seats for that price. Gave me all these terrible options that don’t work for us. To then tell me if I book the 5 seats and the prices now it would be $3200!

I saw ok book the 3 at the promoted price and 2 at the expensive price. They then say that can’t be done.

I said ok cancel the 5 tickets. That’s when they hit me with a $58 fee! Excuse me. I booked this 2hrs ago for a flight and price you’re not honoring. Complete scam - stay away!!!

Zero stars!! This is a complete scam. this is a SCAM SCAM SCAM! They are going to hang up the phone and bully you. The tickets are not in process, I called the airline and they had no knowledge of the tickets or any tickets that were pending. They tried to make me pay a cancellation fee but there were no tickets to cancel. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. They cannot make you pay to cancel because they cannot follow through on the flights you paid for, this is a breach of the contract or agreement. They tried to tell me there were other flights available but I told her that the flights I chose it what I wanted, and they tried to increase the price. Full refund requested, they hung up the phone multiple times, I kept calling back. do not pay a cancellation fee, they cannot charge to cancel something that does not exist. They said I will be black listed by the airline, which is not possible from a 3rd party. Fear tactics are used. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE, JUST PAY THE HIGHER PRICE WITH THE AIRLINE.

Gotoflyer was handling my request to change my flight I was having difficulty with how to proceed from my end , and they exhibited considerable patience in accomplishing what I needed much appreciated I was going through a really stressful time and honestly I was a bit rude talking to them but they handle me very patiently they was very understanding caring and knowledgeable.I intend to use gotoflyer again for future trips.🥹🥰

I booked a flight and when I booked it I received a email stating I will receive my booking confirmation info and hours went by and I didn’t receive anything . I went to see the reviews so I got anxious and called them to cancel the booking . I spoke to Reina and she was very rude ! She told me I will get black listed ! I asked her for a reference call number she said she couldn’t give me one , I asked her if she was documenting and she said No
I asked her if she was recording the conversation she said she was and I got hung up on when I told her she didn’t say that at the beginning of the call … THIS IS A SCAM!!!
