The moving crew did a great job

The moving crew did a great job. They were very professional and considerate. When they moved the heavy boxes into our apartment, they were very careful not to damage the timber floor or the walls. They were courteous and helpful. We truly appreciate their efforts. Thanks again and again to the two gentlemen from Grace Removals Group.

Lost items & items damaged beyond repair

- 1 box lost and items damaged beyond repair with no accountability from Grace.
- Once my items had left Australia, Grace wiped their hands of responsibility and I was passed onto another service provider.
- No base level of insurance cover effectively removing any obligation for Grace to deliver the items and deliver them in one piece.
- I had to investigate the whereabouts of items myself because Grace and the service provider in the UK (Doree Bonner) don't communicate.

Disorganised service at a high cost

We booked Grace Removals for our international move to the USA. Their sales rep was very slick, promised everything we needed could be done, and convinced us Grace offered a premium service worth paying extra for. The reality couldn't be further from the truth. The company is so disorganised internally that it is impossible to get anything done with them: the response is always, "I need to ask a manager," Every change we have needed has been an extra, unforeseen cost. The the net result is incredibly long delays in shipping our goods... we still await the arrival of our things and dwell on our mistake in our empty home. I have moved internationally before - trust me when I say there are better options out there.

Appalling lack of care

Appalling care of my antique chest of drawers. I paid for a crate to ensure its safe arrival in the UK, but the chest arrived un-crated while the crate contained empty packing cases! My precious chest of drawers (over 200 years old) is minus one leg and damaged. One week on from my emails expressing my distress, horror and disbelief all I have received is a link to the insurance - for a claim that was completely avoidable. Do not trust this company with your goods, and shame on you Grace for your complete lack of care.

The worst service experience - deceptive company

I have been in contact with (name removed) and (name removed) for an international removal.
(name removed) said that our goods will leave Australia on 9/6/22 and MSC is the only one considering the route at that time. According to that we were charged double the actual cost. After that, Grace kept holding our goods in Sydney until September and never informed us that they did not ship our furniture on 9/6/22. We figured that out months later.
Our goods were not shipped through MSC as we were advised by (name removed) and later on I knew from one of their staff (name removed) that there was not even a booking made for 9/6/22. We were deceived and never provided with the service that we paid for.

Frustrating

This was truly the most frustrating experience. My belongings have finally been delivered after 8 months of waiting. Everything is present and correct and in one piece but that's about the only positive thing I can say. Communication has been horrible from start to finish, and when my container finally made it to London I was charged an additional GBP216 because of "access issues" at my property. After months of waiting it felt like Doree Bonner were holding my container hostage. Despite me sending them measurements and sending them photos of other lorries literally on the driveway as evidence of there being enough space for their vehicle they insisted it was too much risk and charged me the above for "long carry". The truck they sent on the day drove right up to the garage with no problem at all. When I asked for a refund because there was no long carrying required I was told they had to send out a "special" vehicle. I wonder if the owners of the other delivery that was onboard the same vehicle were also charged. I feel totally conned and absolutely would not use this company again.

Edit - After posting this at the beginning of November, I have yet to hear from a customer service representative.

Second edit - Grace has been in touch and worked with Doree Bonner to secure me a refund of GBP216. Thank you to Nikhil from Grace and Zhanet from Doree Bonner for organising this.

Seamless company to work with

Competitive pricing, knowledgeable and helpful staff that allowed quoting and correspondence via email to facilitate easier uplift planning, transparent with all pricing. Seamless from quote to offload with little requirement for organisation from myself. Removalists careful with all goods and did little extras such as changing out fridges, thoughtful about where things in house post offload. Would recommend the company.

Where are my belongings?

I'll give more stars if I ever receive my stuff but this is looking unlikely.

We asked grace removals to pack up our Sydney home and move it to NZ in November 2021. When the team came to collect they inexplicitly left a number of items behind. We let them know and there was an agreement that they'd send these out on a future shipment.

A couple of months later these items had still not been collected for our house so we followed up and finally in February this was resolved.

Unfortunately, these items (which includes irreplaceable family photos) have never been received. Nor do they even seem to have record of them. Grace has completely failed to even respond to us as to what has happened or what the next steps are to rectify the situation.

To demonstrate just how dysfunctional this organisation is, the Christchurch office can't even get the Sydney office to respond to an internal request.

If you have items of very little material or sentimental value then go ahead and use them. However, if you care that you may never see your items again, then perhaps look elsewhere.

Easy overseas relocation with Grace

I did a relocation to Europe with Grace Removals Sydney. Claudia Downie and all the teams involved (removalists, exports, overseas partners) were great. Very polite ad helpful, answering all my questions, keeping me updated with the progress. Even though the delivery was a little longer than expected, it was understandable with all the international problems.

The worst service provider experience

The worst service provider experience of my life. We were hugely overcharged for what i thought was maybe worthwhile for a premium service.
the move from Sydney to Melbourne took them 9 days to move. Broken things everywhere. I got harassed multiple times a day for an invoice discrepancy but when it cam to getting any assistance it was radio silence. Would certainly not recommend and will never use them again.
