Avoid this company

Avoid this company! They “installed” a £11000 air source system at my property at the beginning of last year. The work is still incomplete and not to regulation. My formal complaint has been ongoing since August 2025 involving HIES, NAPIT, MCS and the DRO and frustratingly now that Boiler Central LTD is in administration, I don’t think this will get resolved and I will have to pay out more money to get this matter dealt with. There should be more protection for consumers against incompetent rouge companies like Boiler Central Ltd!

Problems from start to finish- do not recommend for solar!

After much research I decided to proceed with Green Central for my solar pannel's. Throughout the quotation period the company were fantastic however from the very start of installation we had nothing but problems. We were told by an engineer who came out to assess for instillation that our roof was not suitable and we would need different solar pannel's which were over £3,000 more expensive than initially quoted. I had an independent roofer do an assessment who advised that the roof was fine for solar pannels it would just need some tiles replacing. A roofer was then sent from the company to assess this and we were then told we needed to purchase 400 tiles to replace the ones currently on our roof. After purchasing these when installation started only 37 tiles were used. Following installation when the job was finished we were left with scaffolding insitu for 6 weeks post instillation as Green Central did not pay the scaffolding company so they would not remove this. I am currently in an ongoing battle with the company to get my certification paperwork to allow me to sell my excess electricity onwards. Green Central are no longer responsive to any of my correspondence so unfortunately this issue is still ongoing and has had to be raised to an independent body for enquiry I now feel it's time to leave a poor review so other people don't have this issue!

Avoid these like the plague

Avoid these like the plague, I have a little solar company and was approved to instal for them. Did 1 instal but had so many red flags half way thorough but I was to committed and didn’t wanna let there customer down. 2 months on I still haven’t received my money owed. If you’ve been scammed by these message me at TFC Electrical Solar id like to hear what else they have done. They are currently being wound up by UK Plumbing Supplies Limited. So I’ll never see my money. Absolute SCUM

Boiler central and green central same…

Boiler central and green central same company, used green central for the installation of a solar pv system with battery, avoid totally six fitting dates stacks of excuses never answer phones and rarely answer emails but quite happily take your money up front, they must think the general public are idiots now having a constant battle in obtaining my warranty, payment receipt and SEG certification from them I would like to have given them a minus star if I could.PS I had to contact citizens advice in relation to actually get them to finally send a installer to fit the system of which they did when they were sent a breach of contract letter as advised by the CAB AVOID this outfit.

MCS removed

As a business owner my self I have no idea how such a discusting man can continue to build scam business. I completed works for this company to have my invoices ignored, we can't get a hold of anybody and I'm out of pocket thousands. Unfortunately we have no support and it would seem no repercussions for the owner who is probably already starting a new business.
They have had the MCS revoked but again will probably trade under a new name.

Green Central highway robbery

After reading reviews on here and speaking to Addison and Toni we contracted and paid a deposit with Green Central for solar panels to be fitted on the rooves of our bungalow. They gave us a date of 4th November 2025 for scaffolding and 6th for the solar panels. This never happened. We have managed to speak with Addison once and after that all contact numbers are going to answer phone. I find this disgusting, we are pensioners who are having to still work and this company have taken our hard earned cash. No one is also replying to emails. Only use this company if you are willing to pay money and get nothing in return

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Cheap but you get what you pay for.
4 attempts to fit panels.
No communication.
Now fitted (thanks to lovely contractors) but 2 months on...no warranty docs, no installation docs.
No MCS cert and not even sent to MCS people.
I have tried to contact them but phones not answered, no one gets back to you if you leave a message.
Emails not replied to.

Fraudulent company avoid

Fraudulent company avoid. Had solar panels fitted in April. Still awaiting completion certificates this is holding up a mortgage application and changing out tariff with energy supplier. We have emailed multiple times ignored. Written- ignored and called and phones remain unanswered we have now made a complaint through the finance company and HEIS. Not hopeful for a reply. Please do not use it has been a very stressful

This company was very quick to supply…Frustrated

This company was very quick to supply and fit our solar panels unfortunately, this is the only positive comment I can make about this company. Software was never explain. Paperwork due after installation still hasn't arrived and they told lies about it. UK Power network confirmed the G98 hadn't been applied for and Green Central said it was coming! Phone is now never answered as the answerphone is on constantly and no one responds to any messages that are left on it. Clearly something wrong with the company. HEIS says they are not a member even though their website says they are a member. Use any other company than this one.

Avoid Avoid!

Avoid this company, installation of solar panels was messed up including leaving solar panels for a week on the side of the road. Paperwork due after installation still hasn't arrived and they told lies about it. UK Power network confirmed the G98 hadn't been applied for and Green Central said it was coming! Phone is now never answered and no on responds or says they will call back but no call since May. Clearly something wrong with the company. HEIS says they are not a member even though their website says they are a member. Use any other company than this one.

1. Was told 12 panels ( accordingly savings ) would be installed as per survey. On day of installation, was told that only 6 panels can be installed. How can you get it so wrong?
2. Haven’t got below yet
MCS/Flexi-Orb certificate,
Proof of DNO G98/G99 notification/approval
3. After installation, no one got back with certificate of installation or any related paperwork regarding confirmation of work done.
4. No one is replying to my emails regarding refund of panels not installed as well as documentation.

After paying £7500… this is what you get??

SERIOUS WARNING: These people are using Trademarks they are not accredited to use.

This company are incorrectly using logos on their correspondence and website of organisations to claim they are accredited by that organisation. It's not necessarily the case and I have two sets of correspondence from such bodies to state that logos are being used illegally.
ON NO ACCOUNT USE THIS COMPANY.
I had solar panels fitted but 6 months later am still waiting for the paperwork from them to enable me to claim for the units of power I am supplying to the national Grid. They have repeatedly lied to me and promises are simply not kept.
Apparently it HAS to be this company who supply the paperwork. As a result, I am HUNDREDS of pounds out of pocket already.
They are liars and cheats and frauds.
Please look at the other reviews and take the warning. DO NOT use them. in any circumstance.

One star rating is too much a rating…

One star rating is too much a rating for a company like this. They installed solar panels for me since June 2025 and till date, I am yet to receive my MCS certificate and other documentation. It has been lies upon lies and I marvel how the staffs get to sleep at night when they turn out only lies all day. I have an email from the staff that reads '...I can confirm these have now been done and will be emailed over shortly', it is over a week now and that document has not been emailed. Please avoid this company at all cost. I will now be seeking to issue a formal complaint to regulatory bodies and report the scam of a company to the relevant financial bodies. Please avoid this company by all means.

Terrible after sales service, over priced Avoid this company.

Terrible after sales service. I was sold twelve panels, only ten were able to be installed. I am left with an exposed live in my meter box which has not been resolved for a month. I have not received a refund on the two excess panels. This company use delaying tactics to put off resolving issues and I'm sure they will soon go insolvent and pop up under a new name. I'm considering small claims court like other reviewers.

Poor Post Sales Service, No Shows & No documentation

Don't use this company because if you need them post sale/installation they won't do anything.
System installed May 2025.
Within a couple of weeks it was clear the system was not fully working.
Emails to resolve with manufacturer Fox via Green Central started. Fox initially would tell them its fixed via a software update and close the ticket. I had to take over correspondence to explain the issue and eventually in July 2025 the manufacturer agreed that further investigation via our installer would need to be arranged for an onsite inspection to assess and carry out necessary work to resolve the issue.
Great finally things are moving. Nope!
Green Central advised they would arrange a visit.
Nothing heard for 2 weeks, so I call. Agree a visit date. I re-arrange work so I can be home and to fit in with whatever date and time they gave me. I was told we would get a call in the morning to let us know a time they would visit. No call. So I call again, promised a call back - again no call and no show from engineer. That's happened 3 times and only on one occasion did they actually call us to let us know they would not be coming. I should add all dates are from them (after I called them to re-book) - I accepted every date they gave me and didn't try to change or move any to make sure someone would turn up.
Its now nearly 2 weeks since the last no show and I have heard nothing from Green Central.
Energy company say we don't have a CT clamp and the battery never discharges so we are not getting the savings in energy we should have done.
If I don't call them nothing happens (could argue even when they tell me its booked really nothing is happening). I give them time to be pro-active but honestly they won't take any action.
Lots of times they don't answer the phone. If they do there is 1 person who can deal with my call in the whole company. I am promised call backs from that 1 person - that never happens.

Plus even if the system worked and despite a chaser on emails and every time I call we still do not have the documentation so we can export back to the grid.
This is not the only review with cancelled visits and poor customer service etc. so do think twice if you are thinking of using them.

Service provision and customer relations is very appalling and fraudulent.

I have never seen an organisation that is as fraudulent as GreenCentral who will partly install solar panels without completing the work, and leave the property owner with uncompleted electrical installation that could post great danger to people living in the properties. Not only have we been chasing them up for almost 1 month plus to come back and complete the unsafe electrical installation to prevent danger to peoples life, we also emailed them on several occasions (all evidence will be shared in due course) but they have been postponing and cancelling the dates to further delay the complete of the unsafe electrical installation. Please do not sign there job satisfaction note until you are happy that the whole solar panel installation is completed and all the items listed on the contractual agreement is installed.

Service provision and customer relations is very appalling and fraudulent.

This will be passed on to the Ombudsman as part of the evidence

Please do NOT use this company if you expect to receive the necessary documentation in a timely manner to export to the grid.

My installation was completed in early May 2025. I was assured I’d receive all required documents within 28 days. That deadline passed, and despite numerous follow-ups — via phone, email, and even recorded delivery letters — I was met with silence or vague promises that the paperwork would arrive “within 7 days.” It never did.

After months of chasing, I eventually filed a formal complaint with Boiler Central T/A Green Central, stating that I would pursue legal action and escalate the matter to MCS, NAPIT, Trading Standards, HIES, and other relevant bodies.

Only then did I finally receive the documentation — but not without enduring immense stress, inconvenience, and poor communication throughout.

This level of service is completely unacceptable. If you value your time, peace of mind, and a smooth experience, look elsewhere.

Before committing, read the other reviews for Boiler Central and Green Central. Do your own research on Companies House and Endole, and always pay by credit card if you decide to proceed.

Have no alternative other than to refer…

UPDATE. RECEIVED ADVICE FROM NAPIT TO SEEK LEGAL ADVICE AS GREEN CENTRAL ACCOUNT CLOSED. MCS HAVE ALSO SUSPENDED THEIR ACCOUNT.

In clear breach of contract.

We are still waiting for paperwork for Solar Export GUARANTEE. NOW HAVE TO MAKE SEC 75 DISPUTE I ORDER TO HOPEFULLY RECEIVE WHAT I AM OWED. RIDICULOUS. I HAVE SPENT HOURS TRYING TO RESOLVE.
Have no alternative other than to refer to thd Ombudsman. No responding to phone calls, emails or recorded delivery letter. HiES tried and failed to get a response. Sold us more solar panels that could be fitted onto our roof space. Fitted on 1 May 2025 but still received no refund. No paperwork received to obtain payment for energy exported to the grid. Very disappointed and anxious over what happens next.

Where is my refund?

I had a visit on 17/4 by a representative. I was given a quote but wanted to speak to my family before making a final decision. I was persuaded to pay a refundable ‘holding deposit’ of £250. I subsequently decided not to proceed and contacted the representative on 22/4. It is now a month on and, despite several phone conversations I am still waiting for the refund and have been given no explanation for the delay.
It is now 2 months and I have not received the refundable deposit. There has been no explanation for the delay.
