I sent my daughter in law a chocolate bouquet and she was delighted with it. Everything was exactly as expected. It arrived promptly and I would order again from this company.

Absolutely shocking experience

Absolutely shocking experience, I ordered a romantic gift for my gf, never got delivered, had nothing to give her on the day. Emailed hamperwell customer service multiple times and not gotten one reply, will never use again. And if you was thinking ordering from them think again!! Trading standards is my next point of call these need looking into.

Falsely advertise Yankee candles and stuff just to send stuff thrown together from home bargains. Everything she buys is from home bargains. Save yourself the money and make it yourself for 1/4 of the price tag. Company needs to be exposed and shut down. What a sad old woman to be scamming people.

AWFUL COMPANY.Misleading and ignore your emails

AVOID.If I could give this company 0 stars I would do.Absolute diacrace.I have emailed them 4 times but they just ignore. This is the 4th email I have sent them today:

Dear Hamperwell,

This is the 4th email i have sent to you regarding the order i placed on the 23rd March 2026. I am quite frankly disgusted that you have not even had the decency to respond to any of my emails.

I am currently in hospital.This was ordered for my partner and was supposed to be a little supris3.I specifically spent over the odds on this item as it is a letterbox gift and clearly stated that it will just be posted through the letter box. Brilliant i thought, in case he wasnt in. Complete misadvertisement. I started to become concerned when it still hadnt turned up. Having contact royal mail they advised it had been left in MY chosen place ( I NEVER PICKWD ONE!) And it had just been dumped in the bin. I had to arrange for someone to go and get it and it wasnt just on too, it had been pushed down so far beneath the rubbish youd never have seen it. Plus this is a food item being left in a bin?! Utterly disgusting.

The item itself would absoulutely no way fit through a letter box.its the size of a laptop! Complete misselling plus for 20 odd quid the amount you receive is abismall. Notbing like the photos, 2 small bags and one of them wasnt even properly sealed, it had been sellotaped up!!

I also order this letterbox gift with a personalised message to go on tje box.This wasnt even done and this has really upset me as this was a very personal message which meant a lot.

I have taken photos of what was received and i would like an explanation please. I feel let down miss led and ripped off.

Please reapond as this is my 4tth email.

Load of rubbish.

Just like a lot of people on here, ordered the lindt and yankee candle box. Got some random no-name candles not yankee candles, there was a couple of lindt chocolates in there though. Mostly random heart chocolates.
Paid for 24hour delivery, got the item 3 days later.

No response to emails.
Load of rubbish.

I don't feel like i got what I ordered both times,first time I thought it was my mistake ,I read it wrong then second time same hamper different occasion same mistake, the flowres were meant to be made of soap both times they were artificial flowres not soap,so yeah that was disappointing

Ordered a “Yankee” hamper only to receive some cheap tea light candles that have zero scent.. a few cheap chocolates.. not even in a branded hamper box.
Tried to contact customer service to return the item and get a refund yet I am still awaiting a response 2 weeks later !!
Over £40 on utter rubbish!

AVOID!!!!!!!

I ordered what was advertised as a “Lindt Lindor & Yankee Candle Signature Chocolate Bouquet” and what arrived was NOTHING like the product shown on their website. The listing clearly shows branded items, yet what was delivered contained completely different candles and a much lower quality presentation.

This feels incredibly misleading. If you are advertising premium branded products, that is exactly what should be delivered — not cheap substitutes.

To make matters worse, there has been no response from customer service, leaving me having to escalate this through PayPal just to try and get my money back.

This was meant to be a thoughtful gift, and instead it has been embarrassing and disappointing.

I would strongly advise others to avoid ordering from this company unless you’re happy receiving something completely different from what you paid for.

The Yankee candle and Lindt lindor hamper I bought my mun for mothers day was great value, well packaged and arrived very quickly. I cannot fault the service at all. Thank you

Expensive box as chocolates taste of perfume.

All the chocolates taste of some sort of plastic/perfumed scent and inedible so you end up binning them and paying £50 for a box, I have emailed them twice and ignored both times. Really poor and wouldn’t recommend.

Ordered the Lindt Lindor & Yankee…

Ordered the Lindt Lindor & Yankee Candle Signature Chocolate Bouquet With Red Roses as a Mother’s Day present. I paid for Royal Mail 24 hour tracked, which didn’t get delivered on time so missed Mother’s Day, I emailed twice for a refund for next day delivery - no response. The item FINALLY came, packing was fine but when I opened the box the two candles were supposed to be Yankee candle’s were instead two pound shop rubbish. The chocolates weren’t as advertised were just a cheap selection and the roses were plastic just sprayed with a scent. I would not recommend buying anything from this website- any 5 star reviews on their website are false and clearly written by someone at the company. It’s a complete scam absolutely NOT worth £45. Disgusting.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Hamperwell.

I placed an order on the 12th of March and paid extra for what was clearly advertised as Royal Mail Tracked 24-hour delivery, with a guaranteed delivery date of the 13th of March. The whole reason I paid for early delivery was because I needed the hamper before Mother’s Day, so it could be given on the Saturday, as she was not going to be here on Sunday. Despite this, the item did not arrive until Sunday the 15th , nearly 72 hours later. This completely defeats the purpose of paying for expedited delivery and is frankly unacceptable.

As a result, the gift couldn’t even be given when intended. We were forced to give it on Tuesday when she returned completely missing the occasion. What was the point?

What makes this even worse is that I took the time to write a thoughtful Mother’s Day message for my daughter to give to her mother, and the card was not included at all. This was a key part of the order and its absence completely ruined the sentiment behind the gift.

This experience shows a complete lack of care, reliability, and attention to detail. When customers are paying for a service especially for special occasions the least you expect is that the company delivers what was promised.

Please be very cautious when ordering from this company. There is clearly a reason their customer satisfaction rating is below 3 stars. In hindsight, I deeply regret not choosing another company at a similar price point. This was a complete waste of money.

I would strongly advise others not to make the same mistake. And look at other options first.

Wish i could put a 0 star… Order my hamper for valentine’s day and never received it. Did email multiple times and got an answer saying because of new management team its gonna take up to 20 days to get all the refunds done not even saying that I will even receive my hamper. Never ever I’ve received either the hamper or the refund and that was over a year ago now. They stopped replying to me. Such a shitty website and dont understand how they still out there

scam, waste of money

Received a gift from this site for Mother’s Day. Absolutely awful. Do not buy. Charged £45 for £10 worth of stuff. Not Yankee candles, cheap alternative. Soap roses that smell of horrible plastic that I doubt will actually dissolve. Cheap nasty tasting heart shaped chocolates. Only good thing is the Lindt chocolates.
Husband is gutted. We don’t have a lot of money and we’ve been completely scammed here. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

If I could put zero stars I would. I've emailed twice with no response at all. I changed the delivery address on the site for the item to be delivered to my mother for mother's day. Instead it is being supposedly delivered to my address. I am completely disappointed with the lack of customer service and the failure of the website not changing the delivery address. Just in case anyone thinks im not capable to change an address I was an I.T engineer for 20 years and know how to use a mouse and computer to order.

False advertising of candles

Of course it says brand may vary in the small print while still having the title yankee candles and pictures of them. False advertising. Won't be ordering again. Although they were delivered on time they dont look as good as photos at all.
