Handy Gardeners Avis 

I made a booking for my overgrown garden over the weekend, and I was very happy with the service. They offered an earlier time on the day which was most welcome, and completely transformed the garden. Both gardeners were so friendly and efficient, and left everything tidy. There was also a little time to pull up some weeds at the front which made a huge difference. Very pleased and will definitely be using again!

If I could give zero stars I would but unfortunately this is not an option.
Last Saturday they should have attended an appointment to look at my garden so that I could get some jobs done.
I was not at my property due tho looking after a friends dogs so I had to cycle 5 miles to my property so as to be there for the appointment at 10:00.
I waited and waited and then at 10:30, sat down and looked at my emails to see that I received an email at 09:40 saying the handy gardener appointment has been cancelled due to their gardener not feeling very well.
They could have called me and let me know earlier but they didn’t and I never received any apology from the lady I spoke to.
This whole performance totally inconvenienced me.
Now it is the following Saturday as they rescheduled.
My 11:00 appointment…
I get a phone call at 09:31…to be told that they are cancelling again due to their gardener having a problem with
His vehicle.
I have had enough!
They are unreliable, unprofessional and have totally let me down and wasted my time, twice now.
I am very very disappointed.

The two men who cleared our (very) overgrown garden were polite and very careful with their work.

They finished the job quickly and did a great job. No complaints

I cannot recommend handy Gardeners enough. I was clear in my mind what I wanted done and very aware after a recent heart procedure that I could not do it. Two gardeners arrived on time - correction just a bit early. English may not be their first language but we had no difficulty communicating. They have in a couple of hours wrestled my garden back under control. They were very careful not to damage plants I wanted preserved and they cleared up leaving the garden tidy and under control. They finished the job in 2 hours instead of the estimated 3 hours and my invoice was adjusted without my having to ask for it

My advice is use these gardeners, be clear what you want and be prepared to be on hand to ensure your wishes are translated into the action you wanted.

Excellent. The gardeners arrived on time. Once I had explained what needed to be done, I just left them to it. They cut back my wisteria, trimmed the ornamental pear tree, swept up all the leaves and took seven sacks of cuttings away. No fuss, really thorough, and very pleasant. I hope they will return later in the year to prepare my little garden for the winter months.

I booked my second garden tidy up with Handy Gardeners last week. I was lucky enough to get a slot at short notice. The gardener that arrived was called Antonio, not sure of his partner’s name. They both did a brilliant job! I was a bit nervous at first having never used him but he clearly knew what he was doing. He did a brilliant job and shaped all my shrubs nicely. I’ll definitely be booking them again and I’ll ask for Antonio again.

I have been using Handy Gardeners for over 2 years now and I am delighted with the service and level of care that we receive. In particular, I have been using the same gardener, Kiro, as he proactively looks after the longevity of our garden, spotting things that should be done and taking care of them. They always do a great job. Highly recommended!

I recommend them because they were quiet, efficient, and very tidy throughout the job. This is now the third time we’ve used them, and they’ve become our go-to gardeners because the service is always reliable and professional. They were also able to fit us in quickly before the busy summer period and arrived punctually as agreed!

They were very helpful and did a good job they cleaned up all the mess and my garden looks great I can sit outside and my wheelchair chair does not bring anything indoors I would definitely recommend

Excellent from start to finish: the booking process was very clear and specific about timing, scope and cost of the work, I received telephone reminders to confirm the arrival of the two gardeners who in the event arrived early and their work was exemplary. At the end of two hours my garden front and back looked tidy and under control, they did everything I asked and more, all the prunings were tidied away in a paladin and I will be employing the company again.

This was my first time using this company. Everything went very smoothly. They turned up on time. They were very clear on their quote for the labour and advised me in advance of the additional cost of potential Green waste not included. I advised I will decide when the garden was done as neither of us knew how much waste there would be. They were very flexible and anything I asked they did. They did the job well. I would definitely use them again.

Nikolay and Gabriel came to do my front and back garden today for 5 hours and they did an excellent job. They worked for the whole time and didn't stop and asked me along the way if I was happy. They are well worth the money and knew what they were doing.. really very good and they were quick. I would highly recommend them, worth every penny and much quicker than any gardeners I have had before. They were very polite and totally respectful. Excellent job !!

Handy Gardeners provided a great fast service at an excellent price and at very short notice.

My experience from the start, from booking to additional queries before the service, were all handled quickly and professionally, I was fully aware of what to expect with the service before it took place and the service itself lived up to that.

The team that did the work were professional and courteous, as they needed to move through the house they took their shoes off each time, I'm sure it was a hassle but the wife really appreciated it.

The work was great, the garden looks wonderful, the team took care of all the debris and the fees were acceptable.

Competing services that are better known are now charging well into the £400 range, it was already unacceptable when going well over £200. It's great to know there are still reliable, reasonably priced services out there.

I had a garden job to cut back overgrown vegetation over a wall, adjacent to an alleyyway. They phoned just before starting, saying some branches were too big to be chopped and implied that they would not be able to bag these branches, but in fact, they meant they would bag none of it. If I had know this, I would never have agreed to the job. So I had to bag it myself. I won't use them again. Get clear written confirmation of what they will and won't do.

Exceptional service!! The team came out and spent a few hours on the job. It included cutting the front grass and weeding the flower bed, removing weeds from the drive and then went above and beyond in the back. They not only took out weeds and cleaned away tree debris, they organised the kids bikes, goal, and moved some extra decking to the side. It was the tidiest I've ever seen it, and they removed all the garden waste too. Highly highly recommend. Shout out to Alex who makes booking very easy, he's very quick to reply. Very happy customer!

The two gardeners that came from Handy Gardeners were very good. I am very pleased with the work they did and the garden front and back looks great, especially the 2 hedges at the front. I have used them for a few years now. So happy my garden looks good. They turn up on time. Thank you
