Before purchasing I checked the location of the company and it looked like they were in the United States…and saw that they offered a refund to original payment method for returns so i ordered a pair of shoes. One month later i received the shoes which are not even close to what was advertised and the sizing is too tiny for any normal foot. Now they are giving me the runaround and trying to get me to purchase with an UPCHARGE and keep the shoes and order another size or something different. i refused so now they are telling me the shipping to china will cost over $30 and instead they will give me 20% of what I paid. DO NOT ORDER HERE! This is not legit.

URGENT: Complete scam. Merchandise is trash, refuse returns, then tell you can keep the dressed and try to get as much $$ as they can of the total purchase price. Impossible to deal with. The dresses I ordered don't even look like fabric or resemble any country's sizes. DO NOT ORDER from them.

The $70 shoes looked like they had a cork insole and solid rubber bottom, but that “cork” was just sewn-on vinyl and the sole was flimsy. These are the cheapest shoes I’ve ever encountered. No receipt included. No return instructions. It took 4 email exchanges before they would even give me a return address, which was in China. They also had the nerve to suggest that I might find I more ‘convenient’ to give them to charity and forego getting a refund. Wish I’d looked at the reviews beforehand and avoided them.

Horrible company! I bought a blazer and it’s not made from the fabric they claim it was supposed to be made of and when I asked for a refund, they offered me a 20% refund on a $70 item. The material is thin and flimsy. Do NOT order from this company. They’re located in China and do not offer you any type of easy return. They keep pushing you to keep it and buy something else…. Or they offer you a different size or color….. no…. How about a refund?

This company is a scam. They send cheap goods and then won't let you return them. I spent good money on two dresses that are horribly made and can't get my money back. They keep telling me they'll give me a 20% return and that it is too difficult to send the goods back to China. DON'T ORDER FROM THEM!

I ordered a jumpsuit and it was not at all what I expected so I went to get a refund and it was a battle like no other. They would not give me a refund and insisted that I exchange it for something else but they would charge me an additional $12.99 shipping fee. I told them that was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard. I exchanged the item because after 12 emails because they have no other contact method and I ordered a 2X sweater because the clothes are made so cheap. I am a size Large and I got the sweater in yesterday on October 11, 2025 after two months. The sweater fits like a medium. Please read this review before you have to go through what I did. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had.

I ordered a jacket, it came damaged. Requested a total refund and I would pay the postage to return the jacket. They gave me a Chinese address for returning it. At the end of 9 emails I got a 75% refund and I got to keep the damaged jacket.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRODUCTS were NOT HELPFUL at all.

Same experience as others, and I’m still kicking myself for not letting the fact they only have AI generated images be the reg flag I needed. Item was completely misrepresented by AI, looked nothing like the false images. No response when following their procedures to request a return. Ended up filing a dispute with my credit card to get my money back, total hoax and waste of my time. All of the “reviews” and ratings of items are fake. As exhibited by the fact I’ve purchased an item from them and there is *no way for me to leave a review*. If there was, their items would more accurately reflect 1 star reviews from real customers.

Dummy me. Fell for a scam website again...grrrr. However, Harper and Lane's website looks very American. And, they market "East 30 Day Return". All is a big fat scam. Once I saw it was coming from China, I tried to stop, but of course it had already been shipped...that was a lie. Took forever to get boots that were an absolute joke and smelled like terpentine. We had the usual back and forth haggling about how much of a return they were going to give. They wear you down. Such an awful company. DO NOT BUY FROM HARPER AND LANE. YOU WILL REGRET IT>

First, the ad said the jacket I ordered was a J. Jill. It definitely was NOT. The fabric was flimsy and the jacket was poorly made. I contacted them immediately, as instructed, and requested information on returning it for a refund. I have now sent two additional emails, with no response from them. Now I'm guessing they string people along until the 30-day return window has expired and then say that the return was too late. Do not buy from these people!

The items I received quickly became my favorites.

I would give this a -10 stars if I could. My order did not come in time, I tried to cancel it within 12 hours of ordering it and was not able to. The fabric of the dress I received looked and felt so cheap. I would’ve had MUCH better luck at SHEIN honestly for a fraction of the price. They want you to return it to their China warehouse and pay $30 for shipping. Definitely a scam. Run, don’t walk away from this company. Their customer service team gets back to you eventually and when they do, they just go around in circles.

The shoes I ordered were misrepresented in design and quality. The shoes I received are so flimsy and unsubstantial I will be surprised if they don't melt in the least rain. Not even good enought to wear as bedroom slippers! Harper and Lane is a COMPLETE scam, laughing all the way to the bank. Returns must be made at buyers expense to an international address. It would cost the entire refund to return the shoes! I am beyond disgusted with the product and ashamed I didn't research the comapny before buying.

.I ordered a size S light blue satin dress with a floral skirt that looked stunning on their website. What I received was nothing like it — cheap fabric, bad stitching, and no shape at all. It’s clearly not what was advertised. After several emails and sending all the photos they asked for, they admitted the problem but refused to send a return label. Terrible quality and customer service — I’m disputing the charge with my credit card

I ordered a light blue satin dress with a floral skirt, size S, that looked elegant and high-quality on the Harper & Lane website. What I received was completely different — rough cheap fabric, poor stitching, and an oversized shapeless fit. After 7 emails, the seller admitted the issue but refused to provide a prepaid return label. I filed a credit card dispute. Extremely disappointing experience.

The sandals that I ordered were complete garbage!!! I thought the company was in CA- definitely should have done research.

With a small pegs into a cork like sole which keeps the “pleather” in place. The strap around the foot is secured with a piece of Velcro that is already peeling off the cheap plastic strap. I wouldn’t trust myself to wear them because they’d probably fall apart before I got home!

SCAM!! Everything said by the other 1 star reviewers is correct. I also have had lots of emails with Luna about my crummy dress and getting it returned. She went through the whole bit about how expensive it is to return and then offered me other options like a 20% return on my $59.90 dress. I eventually accepted that just to be done with them but that was also a scam. Wow I’m always so shocked by how low people will go for a buck and how horrible it is to treat people this way. Luckily I believe in karma so I know they will eventually pay for their sins.

This company Harper and Lane is a scam. Clothes are not what they advertise and it cannot be returned. all of the cheapest quality. They do not provide any means to return.You cannot reach them. The only option was to send an email to which they never responded. Stay away from Harper & Lane. Any good review on here is 100% fake.

ordered shoes in my regular size 8.5 - they were too small - having read their return policy I let contacted the company for an exchange - first I was required to send a photo of the loafers showing the sizing issue - seriously? They claimed it would assist them with their internal review and ensure they would handle my request appropriately . . . yeah right. Next email was full of sincere apologies, understanding my frustration, blah blah blah. And how they wanted to save me the hassle of returning the shoes and their concern for the environment. They wanted me to donate the wrong size and buy a new pair for 40% of the price . . . um no. I finally agreed to get the new pair for the shipping cost ($12.95 - a little high for shoes that weigh less than a pound) just to stop having to deal with these scammers. I highly recommend you do not buy from this company.
