Gold membership. I broke my back. They wouldn’t help me.
Took out Harry hall gold membership insurance to cover for personal injury in the event if a bad accident whilst riding. I thought I had done the right thing by getting the best package.
Unfortunately I fell off my horse awkwardly & broke my back. In the hope to get a little help from my insurance I was told that unless I had lost a limb, lost an eyeball (or two) or become permanently disabled as a result of my accident or died then they would not help me at all. And when it comes across that blunt of what they cover. That is literally it. No small print nothing. As of yet I do not know if I am permanently disabled. I was told to call back when I know…
This insurance cover is an absolute insult to riders. It is no shorter than a disgusting money swindling scam that hooks people in believing they have cover when they don’t; and a pure rip off.
I thought I had protected myself and my family. All I have done is line their pockets at the expense of my health. I cannot even cancel the policy.

Terrible customer sevice.Ordered some riding boots and everytime the order was recieved by myself either one or both boots where damaged ie scratched,marked etc.In all we returned 4 pairs and in the end we asked for our money back.Apart from the ladies on the help desk we were not offered an apology nor a resolution.
Protechmasta Runs VERY Small!
Review of the Protechmasta Infrared Cooler Sheet for Horse:
i called them first concerning sizing. My horse wears a size 5’9 175cm 69” for "fly sheets" & 6'0 / 183cm for turnout Rugs (Horseware & Weatherbeeta).
On the phone, they said that "they have heard that the Protechmasta runs a bit small" so i should order a size larger than a normal cooler/fly sheet (which would have been 6'0)...
Just to be safe, i ordered a 6'3" (so 2 sizes larger)... AND IT IT TOO SMALL!
i love the Infrared Cooler & my horse does seem to get great benefit from it but if it shrinks at all after washing.. it won't even fit him anymore... it's already very tight.
**SO IF YOU DO ORDER THIS... ORDER at least 3 SIZES LARGER THAN YOU NORMALLY WOULD**
Trying to return faulty boots…..
Purchased some leather boots for £99 early December, wore a couple of times and the zip broke on one boot. I've now had to send them a second lot of photographs showing the boot from all angles so there "technician" can see. Ridiculous! It would make far more sense to return the boots so the technician can see the zip is rubbish. The item is faulty and Trading Standards will be my next contact And yes, the insurance they offer is awful and no option to cancel if you no longer have the horse. I'm done with HH after this.

I contacted Harry Hall on the phone in November for the Oneclub monthly insurance. I pointed out that I only wanted monthly insurance as I only required the insurance for a very short period of time. The customer operator asked for my bank details for payment.
I have since been informed that this monthly direct debit can't been cancelled until 12 months has expired or cancel and have to pay the outstanding amount when cover is now not required.
Very poor customer service. They seem very keen to get your payment details. I wish I had read the previous customer reviews. Shocking company

Absolutely appalling .. don't cover illnesses, and won't let you cancel if you don't have the horse anymore.
What insurance company that is supposed to cover vets fees doesn't cover for illnesses without clearly stating so.
It seems I'm not the only one who has been stung by this
AVOID!!!!!
Stay well clear, get ACTUAL insurance elsewhere
Well, well, well...what can I say. If you want to pay out your ears for insurance only to be told we don't actually cover anything then this insurance is designed for you. Their "customer service staff" aren't professionally trained vets yet are capable of diagnosing over webchat what constitutes an external injury or not. Disposal cover isn't covered unless you let your horse bleed to death from an open wound, colic isn't covered unless the poor thing needs to undergo surgery and vets fees are only for external injuries. I have ended up having to have my horse put to sleep and my other horse has been returned to the owner who I was loaning from, this "company" want me to keep paying insurance for horses that I don't have anymore... I've just had to say goodbye to my best buddy and this company tell me I must insure a deceased animal. Absolutely appaling and I will be contacting the ombudsman, this company only care about the money, take your pounds elsewhere, save your horses life insure through someone else. Don't waste your time with this scam insurance.

Appalling customer service. I bought two Masta Vento lightweight turnouts from them and after the first use of one my pony was soaked from a very lightweight 20 minute shower. I contacted Harry Hall to return both rugs (the second not opened bought for my thoroughbred on damp mild days) and was told they aren’t supposed to be waterproof!! To add insult they refused to offer a refund for their return. Instead questioning my ability to fit a rug, requesting a photo of the pony with the rug on (as proof it fit) and reiterating that lightweights are not intended for use when it’s wet. After a lot of insults on my knowledge from them they finally agreed to take the leaking rug back and TEST it telling me should it be found to be ok I would have to pay postage and if faulty they would replace it. I then heard nothing for ages before receiving a newly packaged and tagged Masta vento in the post. No explanation or apology. But don’t get too excited I’ve had my little pony in it this morning where it’s been light drizzle for over an hour. I’ve just checked to make sure he is dry and he may as well be wearing a sponge. Totally USELESS. I can’t unfortunately review this on Harry Halls website directly to warn people (obviously they wouldn’t want a bad review) but needless to say that after owning and working in the horse industry for almost half a century Harry Hall are no longer somewhere I would recommend to buy from after such utterly terrible customer care and the MASTA vento lightweights is a rug NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE I don’t know what Masta are thinking putting their name to such a useless piece of kit.

Appalling customer service regarding the one club membership, I have tried cancelling my policy. I don’t have a horse anymore, it auto renewed and took the food out of my family’s mouths and Harry halls response was that I should have tried harder to cancel. Absolutely shocking that they would not help at all. Disgusting and they wonder why people are not coping, because of greedy businesses like this. Take your money else where.

Appalling customer service , do not buy a vento turn out rug . Purchased in May and used couple of times . Used in the showers last week it was totally useless.
Customer service have told me to purchase a thicker rug not even offered to look at the rug for me .

They don't even deserve 1 star!!! My advice to anyone buying from them would be DON'T!!! I bought a very expensive bucas fly rug which I put on my horse and it fitted but whilst he was out the neck part that goes over the horses ears kept coming off! We contacted them to explain and asked if we could return the rug for a refund as it wasn't fit for purpose, which they then asked for us to send photos of the rug on the horse to make sure it fitted him correctly. They agreed it did and then told us to put a fly mask on top as that should keep it in place!!! You don't buy a pair of trousers that only fit if you wear a belt!! They won't refund or even exchange. They've taken weeks to get back to us and only did as we kept calling them. Absolutely disgusting customer service!
The oldest and best supplier of horse products.
I have bought all my horse products from Harry Hall for the last few years. They have a huge selection and stock everything I could possibly need from saddle soap to rugs. Everything is sent out by courier and usually arrives the next day in good order. The quality of the products has been amazing and there is not one product I could fault. Thank you Harry Hall, you are my one stop shop!!
