Castlebar branch photo shop
Castlebar branch photo shop. I wanted 4 photos printed from my phone. To start the terminal wouldn't load my photos so I had to download the app and order and pay online. When my photos were printed only 2 were correct. I asked for one 7 x 5 and the picture printed across the middle so was only 3 1/2 x 5 leaving 1 1/2 inches of white at the top and 2 inches at the bottom. When I said to the assistant that there was no way I could put the picture in a frame I was told as I ordered it online I should have rotated and cropped it. I had to order it online as the terminal wouldn't work, also it was another of their assistants that did the order for me. I was charged €2.50 even though the price list states 1-99 prints are 25c. Apparently the minimum order is €2.50, even though I'd paid €9 for the 3 bigger photos. The last photo was really badly printed. I left the store and travelled to Ballinrobe to Treacys pharmacy and got both pictures printed perfectly with great assistance and customer service. I would not use Harvey Norman in Castlebar for photo printing again. Terrible service and no apology.

Items not being in stock after purchase
Bought a tv on the 5/1/26 online. Was told via text it would be delivered on 13/1/26 which was no problem. I had taken the day off work to be free that day for the delivery arriving. The delivery never showed up on the date listed. I rang the store for clarification and was constantly interrupted while I was trying to ask questions/ explain what I ordered etc, a member of staff informed me that it would be here that day and that the delay may be due to traffic. After it not showing up I rang again to be told that the TV I ordered wasn't actually in stock.
Would not recommend this store or website to anyone, terrible customer service and terrible communication.

Fast and friendly delivery
Ordered online and got a text with the delivery date the next day for delivery just a few days later. The driver rang the morning of my delivery to let me know what time they'd be there and both delivery guys were so friendly and helpful, had my old dryer removed and the new one in my kitchen within a few minutes and couldn't have been more pleasant. I was incredibly happy with all aspects of the ordering and delivery process and will definitely be using Harvey norman for large appliances in future as I had none of the issues I've dealt with with other retailers in the past.

The young girls in store were helpful…
The young girls in store were helpful but serious understaffing at the tills & waiting for manager to come & help. Other staff in store were not bothered about coming to help out at tills with a long queue .

Bought phones on line was told by website some phones were unavailable but when in shop they were on sale Got no email to tell me phones were available to pick up so went over to shop to pick up then the waiting there was brutal

Have just been to Harvey Norman Castlebar to make a small purchase ( George Foreman Grill Sponge).
Enquired off a large man with glasses who was most unhelpful and ignorant.
I then approached an Indian man who in all honesty just couldn’t do enough to help me. He went to the store and got the product.
I have rentals and buy a lot off Harvey Norman. Wasn’t looking for anything special,only a civil answer.
Don’t think I was ever so angry, this large man with glasses tried to make me feel like a piece of dirt stuck to the bottom of his shoe…..
