Send to job, glass installation on slanted roof 60ft high, but when got there no safety equipment provided so I refused to stay and do the job, and because of this have been black marked from the company. Not my fault as I'm not an installer I'm a labourer, so I don't have the safety gear needed.

Terrible service - never give you any feedback whether good or bad - dont keep in contact or look for jobs for you - appalling service and customer service not great speak down to you at times. worst agency to use will not use again! especially the north east ones!

I started a 1 week assignment as a traffic marshal as I was between jobs due to a agency take over and studying for my cpcs card so I took a job on the Thursday... I was told the umbrella company they used would charge about 12 a month for payroll... so I agreed ... when I started the job I was put with a guy who all he spoke about was his love for cocaine and shoplifting and crime All day in which devalued my experience in such a nice area where I grew up. I also was the only one who actually did my job all day, I then got a call from the payroll company NWM on the Monday at around lunchtime with this rude lady saying it comes to £67.50 a week payroll fees before tax and NI and was deliberately going round in circles trying to confuse me with bs and pressure selling tactics belittling me and talking rubbish When I complained to hays they also acted clueless for 2 days thus wasting 4 lengthy phone calls and rinsing my patience with more rubbish and rudeness. I also didn't like working for a guy who's name began with m who sounds like a teenager with his street ghetto words and accent I found that unprofessional too. I resigned after my second day as it was a shambles and I didn't want to work for people who pay peanuts don't pay for lunch hours and are rude and Disorganised. My time is precious and I know my worth as a highly regarded professional. Be careful these people lie alot.

I worked for Hays for nearly 3 years at HMP Winchester, and had to leave due to a broken leg and no longer being able to stand all day. In April 2020 we were given a payrise by the MOJ. I've waited until now to receive the back pay for this pay rise. There is no breakdown of the hours worked during this time and I have received the same as a colleague that only worked there for 4 months. How can this be right? I have emailed asking for a breakdown, to be told they don't have one. I then spoke to a friend that still works there, who has also said they think their back pay is wrong. Hays have told them they will investigate. Seems they only look after the staff that are currently employed. Scared of losing their bonuses if staff leave. I will be seeking legal advice. Terrible company that don't give a damn about people. I would never work for Hays again. I would advise anyone that is thinking about employment with Hays to think again and look elsewhere for a company that actually pays you for the hours worked! I would have given them no stars if I could.

Don't even know how this company can call itself a recruitment company, take your details then you will never hear from.them again, what is the actual point of you employing people who have no idea of the industry or be competent enough to fulfil their own roles, never mind trying to find a job for somebody! Complete joke!

I would personally avoid this company in the future.

They were some good things I could mention but can't be bothered as overall experience was rather mediocre

Hays is the worse recruitment agency I have ever dealt with especially with the person called Shally she is so rude and a big lier, I was chasing her to get feedback from company I had an interview with she kept lying to me then she was ignoring my phone calls I had to contact the company directly officially she was annoyed when she found out, I called her afterward to let her know that I have been in touch with a company and they've emailed me their feedback, she was arguing with me then she hang up the phone on my face I was shocked by her reaction, she isn't not professional at all I don't recommend any one to deal with this agency especially her (Shally).

Hays sucks, just a hardcore-selling company, penetrating annoyed customers with telephone calls. They also pay very bad. Not recommended, specially for people who have just finished their studies.

Stay Clear!!!!! Currently going through Acas. I am still employed by them and am trying to get out of my contract. They will put profit before service, with Hays you are just a cash cow, not a person.

Been kept waiting around on furlough, and decided to apply to Hays. Nicola in Belfast spoke to me about several big name companies that were interested and would do the hiring and onboard bit remotely. Fair play to Nicola, she kept me updated by every means: video calls, email,etc. New finance job, better, terms, terrific company so far.

Far from meeting the mark on zero stars, they change recruitment staff and do not contact you to tell you they have changed staff in order to find out you gave up call up and ask, they don’t fully recognise the importance of paying raised rate after committing and dedicating more then 6 months, they will say they will help or look into something needs addressing but never ever do, your wage will fluctuate and you get no sensible reason explanation from payroll, ways of submitting your hours is hugely outdated.

Reference won’t be reflective of accurate time spent in role they’ll just put approximations.

The list goes on and on and on I could go on and on and on...

the worst experience possible, a woman called Sumayya Datoo ignore me even to tell me I was fired, I was fired because of covid, and she didn’t say anything to me, I tried millions of times to get in touch with her or with someone to Know something and was impossible,
is unbelievable how people are.

Terrible experience to the point that I would avoid Hays if a job is advertised through other channels.
The recruiters reach out, ask for details, often ask for favours of referrals but are almost never responsive to follow up. Not even an auto response to say that the role has been filled. When dealing with people in all walks of life treat them like people and not just objects to hel you meet your targets.

There must be a gap in the market for a truly focused, dedicated recruitment company that really cares about its staff, candidates and employers and unfortunately Hays is not one of those firms. So called recruitment managers try and be focused and want to please and promise the earth and then don't deliver. They fish for CV for jobs that don't exist at all.

My dealings as well as other candidates dealings have been truly awful and I wish the management at Hays would focus on improving their services to candidates and employers but they are the same as the other shower of recruitment agencies both in this country and around the world.

Please keep a wide birth from them both as candidates and employers.

Applied for a job through this agency. However when i got a call back the guy over the phone was very rude and unprofessional. He also sent me multiple emails and endless phone calls after i had sent him the relevant information he asked me for. Would not recommend this job agency, very unprofessional and rude.
