My ear became swollen and I had bad pain after session 1 (no pain at all before), and in session 2 I asked the doctor for a reason or to please check, she said the ear canal was damp and went on with the microsuction. The next day the pain woke me up, went to A&E and the doctor said I had a bad ear infection and prescribed antibiotics!!

Thank you for letting us know about your current predicament, Matias. We are sorry to hear that you have had an uncomfortable infection. We provide the same guidance to all our microsuction ear cleaning clients to let us know straight away if there is any pain after any appointment - you went to A&E instead, but the important thing is that you didn't delay in doing so. If you'd come back to us then we'd have treated the infection for you, but the most important thing is that you took immediate action.
Unfortunately, identifying an early-stage infection in the ear canal is not always straightforward. Whilst redness can be a sign of infection, it’s also quite common for the ear canal to appear red after a thorough cleaning - once the dead skin and wax have been removed. And discharge is the clearest indicator of infection but can be easily hidden/masked if, as in your case, Matias, soothing drops like olive oil or sodium bicarbonate have been used beforehand.
The difficulty associated with spotting an infection before it develops is one of the many reasons why we offer all our ear cleaning clients free follow-up appointments and recommend to all our clients that they try scrupulously hard to keep their ear canals dry for a week or so after having their ears cleaned, as newly cleaned ears are naturally more susceptible to infection. Nevertheless, we are very good at spotting early stage infections, which is why, thankfully, we've only had one or two reviews similar to yours, Matias, in the last ten years.
We are always disappointed, however, whenever any of our clients has a less than fully satisfactory experience with us and, as you'll see from even a quick scan through our review history, we are used to exceeding expectations. So, in the hope that you'd be prepared to give us the benefit of the doubt and a second chance, Matias, we'd like to offer you a free appointment next time you need some help with your ears and hearing.
No need for you to reply or confirm this arrangement, Matias, but we've made a note so that, if you ever wanted to rebook, you will automatically be offered a free appointment.

Friendly and professional service
Friendly, helpful, professional service. Their micro suction machine cleared my blocked ears quickly and effectively, unlike some other ear wax removal machines that are not as powerful. Would recommend.
