The website made it really simple to book a one-time house cleanings in Toronto for our place in Leslieville. Got a confirmation right away and the team showed up exactly on time. Mei and Joanna were friendly and efficient. Will use again.

Booked Hellamaid for a move-out cleaning in Kitchener apartment and the team was excellent. Sara and Beth tackled the oven and baseboards with no complaints, and we got our full deposit back. Easy to book and the price was fair for the scope.

EDIT JUNE 16: Hellamaid tried to flag this review as defamatory. They failed to resolve the issue after contacting us (never responded to our callback), after we went to BBB, and now we are pursuing other options.

I would give 0 stars if I could. DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY!
We booked Hellamaid for a move-in clean ("our most thorough clean" per the website) of our 2500 sqft house, with add-ons of inside fridge, inside cabinets, inside oven and sanitization.
The quality of service was an absolute disaster. Specifically:
- The inside of the fridge was missed
- The inside of the oven was missed
- Neither the inside nor the outside of the cabinets was cleaned thoroughly. There are visible stains and smudges on the cabinet exteriors. We swiped the inside of one random cabinet and it turned our Lysol wipe black.
- The appliances were not moved, leaving dust bunnies, rice grains, and debris for us to find when we pulled out the fridge.
- The range hood filter was missed.
- The floor was inadequately swept or vacuumed, leaving dust in corners as well as what appears to be a large canine tooth near the stairwell. The kitchen floor/trim beside the oven has caked on stains remaining.
- The washroom grout was left with black mold spots and uneven reddish pink staining.
- Window tracks were uncleaned
- Door handles, light switches, and door frames were not wiped, leaving coloured stains/splatters
- Walls were not spot cleaned
- Washrooms vents were left with build up of visible dust.
There were 3 assigned team members and before the 4-hour mark, 2 had already left the premises.
Basically, they barely did a proper basic clean and I was charged $824 after tax, a spring cleaning promo, and gratuities that I had pre-authorized for what I hoped would be a job well done.
When I contacted the company initially, I was offered a $120 refund (which is equivalent to the aforementioned gratuities). When I sent even more photos of further concerns identified, I was offered $240 (doesn't even cover gratuities + the extra add-ons). What was offered is an absurd and laughable resolution for the quality of what was delivered, especially for boasting a "100% satisfaction guaranteed" company promise.
This whole ordeal has made the process of moving in an even bigger headache moving already is. We had to delay unpacking belongings because of how little we trusted the service provided. We hired another company to re-clean the entire house, and they have corroborated and helped identified further issues, listed above. I've sent over 25 photos to Hellamaid to back my claims and have more sent from our secondary cleaners.
I hope no one ever has to go through this nightmare.

What I like about Hellamaid is the house cleaning pricing is clear on the website. No surprise charges, no aggressive upsells when the cleaners arrive. Just a good clean for what they quoted.

We finished a basement reno and the dust was everywhere. Hellamaid sent a crew that handled the whole house, not just the basement. Took most of the day but the result was worth it, easily the best cleaning service in Edmonton we've used.

Booked a deep cleaning in Calgary for our condo in the Beltline. Aleksandra spent extra time on the kitchen and the result was noticeably better than the last cleaning service we used. Pricing was upfront with no surprises.

Had a small miss on a deep clean, the inside of the fridge wasn't done how we expected. Reached out to Jeffrey in customer service and they sent someone back within two days, no fuss. Thats kind of follow through is rare for cleaning services in Kitchener and why I'll book again

Lina and Priya cleaned our Etobicoke home last week. Both were friendly with our dog, which I always appreciate. Got a text when they were on the way and another when they were done. Small things but they matter for a maid service in Toronto.

Helped during a stressful move
We were moving out of a rental in North York and ran out of time to clean ourselves. Hellamaid squeezed us in on short notice for a move-out cleaning in Toronto and the crew handled the whole unit in about three hours. Landlord had no complaints.

We manage a couple of short-term rentals in Calgary and have been using Hellamaid for cleaning service in Calgary turnovers since February. Consistent quality, easy scheduling, and the office staff respond quickly when we need to shift a date.

Standard clean for our 2-bedroom in midtown Toronto. Nothing flashy, just a solid, professional cleaning service in Toronto at a reasonable price. The kitchen and washrooms came out spotless.

Very disappointed with my experience.
I booked a 3.5-hour cleaning service for $215 expecting a thorough job. Instead, only about 2.5 bathrooms along with the foyer, kitchen, and laundry room (roughly under 500 sq ft) were cleaned, and even those areas were not cleaned properly.
Several basic tasks were missed. The kitchen backsplash and cupboards were not cleaned, the laundry room sink was left dirty, and the main floor living and family room floors were not vacuumed or mopped. The kitchen centre island, TV stand, and tables were also not wiped. In one of the bathrooms there was still visible grime and mold left in the floor tile grout after the cleaning.
The company advertises a 100% satisfaction guarantee and advertise to ensure that they re-clean. When I raised these issues, they declined to return for a re-clean and instead offered a $60 refund on a $215 service, which I do not feel fairly reflects the quality of the work.
I chose this company because of their advertised guarantee and strong reviews, so this was disappointing. I hope the company improves how situations like this are handled.

We paid a stupid amount to have our house cleaned before a move. The results were pitiful at best. The company offered a partial refund or a re-"clean". We asked for a partial refund.
And then we asked again a week later.
And then again a week later.
And then we posted a negative review and the company suddenly replied to our emails offering a *full* refund if we removed that review.
So we are finally back where we started after (what felt like) months of back and forth with this company as they 1. didn't provide the service they promised and then 2. continually tried to avoid taking responsibility for that.
Anyway, as I said I just feel like it's important for others to be informed because people have a lot more important things to do than deal with this kind of BS.

As a mom of 3, I really needed some help with the big deep cleaning stuff in my house. Hellamaid was able to book me in quickly and send a team over within a few days. The girls were lovely and did a fantastic job! We will definitely be booking again!
