Plants arrived in a very poor…

Plants arrived in a very poor condition. The heathers were nearly all brown at the bottom which they do not generally recover from. Some were also dry as a bone which is also very bad for them. They look absolutely nothing like the advertised image. Custoner services wanted me to return at my cost which contravenes consumer rights- quoted from ‘Which’:-

‘You should not be charged for a return if the item is of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described.’

Do not bother with this company. Far better to go to a garden centre and see the plants for yourself.

I ordered a large hardy pomegranate…

I ordered a large hardy pomegranate tree in September and it has not arrived. I have sent numerous emails and have been ignored.
There is no phone number that you can ring, which is suspicious.
I do not know what to do now!

BUYER BEWARE
Late delivery, I had to chase them up
Poor quality plants, mostly dead and damaged stems, only fit for my garden waste bin which is where they ended up.
Appalling customer service, no phone number, and they do not respond to email. You might get an automated reply telling you if you keep chasing them up, your mail will end up in their junk mail.
I have had to accept that it was a big mistake using this company, and have written off my losses.

Take heed of the bad reviews here & avoid …

Sadly having ordered 2 Salix flamingo topiary trees having followed this company on instagram for a while I was appalled to see what was delivered as a gift!
Response was unacceptable when I sent a photo of what was sent next to what they advertised, they merely said that was how they should look but to get back to them in 2-3 weeks if no change! Highly unlikely that there will be as winter approaches.

Damaged and mushy plants, no reply

While most of the plants were in good shape, 6 of them were severely damaged (broken stems, all soil loose in the box) and never got an answer to my emails where I asked for a replacement. This was a second bad experience, after an order where 2 expensive plants were sent all mushy, and even if I provided video and photos of it, I only received an unhelpful response after 14 days (!) asking for new photos in a very specific way. While it seemed a good deal when ordering, considering the losses, I paid much more than I would have paid in my local nursery.

Dishonest company and dishonest…

Dishonest company and dishonest customer services. I was lied to and told to do a bark test to see if the plant was dead. It was and from then on I never heard from them again. This company has so many complaints they need closing down. Trading standards aware but say it will be a million pound law suit so gathering as much info as they can. Don’t use. Yes things cheaper but dead within months.

Very poor customer service - next stop Trading Standards

I raised an issue several weeks ago where two orders were only delivered in part. In one 5 sets of snips were missing and in another 5 plants have not been delivered. I have provided proof they got stuck in the yodel system. I have not had a resolution and am increasingly frustrated by the lack of customer service and there being no phone number to call them on to resolve. I won’t be recommending them again! And will have to go down reclaiming monies through my bank unless they want to resolve the issue when they read this.

I ordered 3 bamboo plants on arrival…

I ordered 3 bamboo plants on arrival the packaging looked good my husband took the parcel in and when I arrived home after work and opened the box to see 3 almost dead plants not at all like the plants in the pictures when I contacted customer services I was told that the picture Id sent them was not enough information stay clear from these people they are bad news

Absolutely terrible – they stole my money

I spent over £65 on plants. One parcel arrived, but the other was returned to the supplier due to a damaged box. I contacted them many times, and every time a new person replied asking for the same information, even though they already confirmed they could see the parcel was sent back.
After that, they completely ignored me. I never got my refund, and I never got my plants.
This company is dishonest, disorganized, and doesn’t care about customers. Avoid them at all costs — they just take your money and disappear.

I ordered 3 Premium Quality Topiary…
I ordered 3 Premium Quality Topiary Buxus PYRAMID - circa 100-120cm and a
PAIR of Topiary Buxus BALLS - Stylish Contemporary Box Ball PLANTS - LARGE. On 14th of September.

The plants were ok but the service has been absolutely appalling.

They only delivered the 3 pyramids and a single ball. I’ve contacted them immediately and today 26 October I still haven’t received an answer from them.

This is terrible service. You are ordering and pretty much praying all goes well, otherwise forget about something being sorted out…

DISGRACEFUL BUSINESS !!

On 2nd September 2025 I ordered Musa Sikkimensis Banana Plants.

On 10th September 2025 I received my order delivered by Yodel. The packaging box was battered and two of the plants were damaged beyond repair.I have tried to retrieve them by staking with bamboo canes plant ties, but they did not survive.
The plants themselves were very limp and the leaves had become detached from the main stem with slimy liquid. Having considered that the plants received were beyond redemption and subsequently completed a form online with photographs. I received a response that the photographs were not able to be viewed and therefore submitted further photographs in different format. To date my complaint has not been addressed and fear, apart from applying consumer law, will not be.

This company is not stable and hides behind a computer based outfit.

There is no means of communication other than their online enquiry form, which is ignored, albeit they will take your money quick enough.

My complaint, if not resolved with this company, will not go away and I will apply Consumer Law.

In the meantime, prospective customer's are well advised to spend their well earned money with a reputable garden centre, be it online or otherwise.

DISGRACEFUL BUSINESS !!

Non existent Customer Service

Plant not as described, undersized, diseased / insect affected. No customer service to ring, no response to on line form until I suggested using Trustpilot! No response to emails and no refund or replacement offered despite numerous requests.

As a result of the company’s many failures, I obtained a refund via my bank fraud team.

Avoid this company completely.

I have ordered products from this…

I have ordered products from this company for a number of years with no issues. Not so anymore!!! I ordered 8 items, 2 items arrived, very poor condition. The payment for all items has been taken from my bank. Only last night this Company was the subject of Watchdog TV on the BBC, where such issues were raised about the poor quality of plants, customer service, and not being available to contact by telephone, and the company not giving refunds. I cannot afford to lose this money, I had saved to pay for what I purchased, I wish I had put the money aside for my heating bills instead, but the items ordered appeared to be such a bargain. Please Please Do Not use this company.

Dead plants/ delivery slow/ non existent customer service - the cheaper price is for the poor quality and it’s not the great deal you think- Stay clear

What once seemed like a ligit business has now become a money making scam. They sell you dead or dying or diseased plants which take forever to arrive. Ive complained and they just ignore with no offer of a response or refund. I have emailed 3 times chasing but nothing.
I have the feeling that they are going down the pan and treading water and just trying to filter off all the cash beforehand. To all the people who have had issues with their non existent customer service or getting a refund I would suggest a section 75 via your credit card. It’s an easy process to get your money back when the retailer is ignoring you. I’m also reporting them to trading standards.

Scam. Would give zero stars if I could

Would give zero stars if I could. Ordered two roses, had to chase to get any kind of delivery organised for several weeks. When the delivery did arrive, the roses have no labels on the pots and around the neck of the roses the label showed that they were completely different than the variety that I had bought. I queried it with customer service who asked me to prove that I had bought the roses from them despite me providing them with an order number then also asked me to take a screenshot of the order to prove that I’d ordered it they then have gone completely dark for three weeks and have refused to give me any kind of refund or response. I’m raising a query on my credit card. Avoid it all costs this business is a total scam.

Even one star is too much

Even one star is too much. I bought two magnolia trees (not expensive but still live plants). The instructions told me signs of life might take 6 weeks- 6 weeks later, no sign of life so I emailed them. Their response told me I had emailed outwith the fourteen days so no refund. Not happy- will avoid them in future.

Gardening Express - a disappointing and frustrating experience

Having used Gardening Express for some years and even having complimented them in the past, I have now to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding their non-existent enquiry service when it comes to orders that either don't arrive or are damaged and then returned to their premises. What has happened to this company? I have written three times to enquire what happened to the remainder of my order, no. 700868809 which was apparently returned to Gardening Express by the driver. Please read your reviews and mend your ways! Start by answering my query, sending me the missing plants or returning the cash owed to me for the undelivered goods. Order no 700868809 Delvin

Very poor customer service and products

I ordered a bay tree, but when it finally arrived it was desease ridden and half eaten by insects.
I sent them some pictures of the plant and they told me I didn't have enough pictures!
I then sent some more pictures and never heard from them again.
What a terrible company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Absolutely dreadful customer service…

Absolutely dreadful customer service and no way to contact them other than by their message service, which incidentally, no one seems to respond to. I am sick of emailing this company. They took my money and gave me the wrong order, basically stealing! 6 weeks in and still nothing. I hope someone from this company has the decency to respond to this review and give me some answers.
