Hansen Shaving Avis 

I saw this advertised on a social media site and then mistakenly purchased a competitors version in a drunken haze. I then spotted my mistake and ordered this one as well. Well, it has afforded me the chance to do a comparison. Henson is by far the best, it is such a nice shave. The weighting is perfect and I have total confidence in it. The other razor is heavier and cumbersome, almost unusable on certain facets of my face. The Henson really is a quality razor, it looks sleek and spare and has the utilitarian elegance that appeals to the eye. Most importantly it has given me the best shave ever.

This really is all they say it is. You won’t regret this purchase.

Just had my first shave with HENSON DE RAZOR ( Mild model ). An amazing shave on 3 days growth, so smooth and nick free. Can't recommend highly enough, well worth every penny ( and I'm a Scotsman ! ). I have another de razor costing twice as much but the HENSON is the Rolls Royce by far ! The service from Henson was quick and efficient....delivery to UK within a few days.

Amazing razor, I made the switch from cartridge razors to double edge safety razors about 5 years ago and went with the Edwin Jagger DE89, and I was extremely happy with it.

With Henson being manufactured in Canada I wanted to try them out, and im happy I did.

The AL13 mild shaves just as good and is much more milder and easier on my skin.

I've had a handful of safety razors over the years. This is, without doubt, the closest shave of any of them.

It's a great product.

This is an an average razor, I prefer the traditional razors that are heavier. Maybe I have to use it more frequently for getting a more enjoyable shave.

The box was partially damaged when I got it delivered.

It’s good at bein a SAFETY razor, gettin crisp lines are a bit difficult with the extra ridge but great quality no less.

The Henson staff helped me find the medium razor I was looking for, then went above and beyond to get me the color choice I wanted as well. I'm an experienced DE shaver and this razor has the best shave closeness to comfort ratio I have ever experienced. Not to mention the incredible precision fit. You can unscrew the handle halfway down and there's not even any slack in the screw threads. Just incredible

I visited this site because my son had a Henson razor on a gift wish list. I had no problems finding or ordering the item, but didn't see any way to place an order as a gift. I admit I could have missed it - but - ordering as a gift with gift message, gift receipt, would have been a nice touch.

I’ve been using cartridge razors for my entire life. After hearing about Henson Razors and all its positive reviews, I am excited to try using a safety razor for the first time. Ordering process was smooth and easy and I can’t wait to receive my product!

Much nicer experience than my other safety razor (I shaved half with each to see). That said, it would be even better if it had a bit more heft.. maybe a weighted handle?
Colour is awesome, love the grain and machining marks still visible. Shows there's no mistakes to cover up.

This is a great looking razor; its aesthetics rate five stars. Also it's construction is very well done. This is a well designed and manufactured product. However, I am not at all happy with the shave it gives. My Mac3 yields a closer shave with less razor burn. I would note that men have varying types of facial skin which results in different qualities of shave with any razor. I am a white 75 year old living in the Southwest where it is dry and hot. You might have a totally different experience with this razor. While I hope that will be the case for you, but for me, I will return the razor for a refund,

Outstanding! I've used many razors, especially safety razors over the years in search of something that will give me a good shave without leaving my skin irritated. The Henson AL13 is by far the best razor I've ever had. Everyone should throw out their current razors and get a Henson immediately!

The ordering and delivery speed were fine.
HOWEVER I was somewhat surprised and annoyed to receive a customs tax and shipping surcharge of 31€, about 40% on top of the items cost.
This extra cost could have been reduced to 19€ had an option (to pay import tax) been added at checkout.

I have yet to try the product itself but still feel the need to leave a review.
