I had Malik fix my bathroom ceiling & cornice the was sagging at one end. He assessed the situation, went to bunnings to purchase a new cornice & secured the ceiling & cornice. Painted his work & had a very reasonable charge for the work done.
If I ever need a handyman again it will be Malik....a really nice guy.

Last time using Hi Pages after two goes
This is the second and last time I will use HiPages. I needed sludge from a water tank removed from a full water tank. None of the trades referred to me could do the job, despite HiPages re-posting it in a different category (Pressure Cleaning)
The previous time I needed landscaping done. One turned up and never gave a quote, one quoted triple the going rate and one had never done landscaping in Australia before,
I'll stick to word-of-mouth or Google in future.

Sales Company Not Home Improvement
Hipages exists to promote tradies. Their business model is tradies pay them for leads. They don't publish negative reviews which is scammy. If you call hipages with a problem they say the agreement is between you and the tradie - there's nothing they can do.
Had a tradie show up and increase his price by 30% on the day even though he had seen the site when quoting, then would only accept payment in cash. We later discovered he had also damaged property. Hipages hid the negative review and said they had no power to resolve the issue because it was between myself and the tradie.
You sometimes get good tradies but it's hit and miss, and if you have a negative experience you are not protected.

hipages is an advertising platform that enables tradies to advertise their business to potential clients. Negative feedback isn’t displayed on their business page, but is still reflected through the star rating system the profile page of the business.
We also continuously monitor feedback that comes through from consumers, to ensure that we are able to pick up on any consistently negative or concerning feedback that might come through. Our Trust & Quality team address any issues relating to safety, professionalism or quality of work, and do remove and ban businesses from advertising on hipages should they take on unlicensed work, or have a record of consistently poor feedback from consumers.
Whilst our Trust and Quality team have no authority to enforce any decision, they can mediate between yourself and the trade business to help resolve any issues. Please DM us your details and we can get the team to reach out as soon as possible.

Overgrown yard returned to good order…
The men who came to my home were very courteous and respectful. They worked very hard from 9.00am until after 6.00pm completing everything we’d agreed on to a very acceptable standard. They removed all the grass and clippings and put things back in very good order.

Though this time only one company/ person responded and I did not hire him due to very high price but over all in past I had excellent experience hiring tradies through Hipages.

It was so quick and efficient. Within a few minutes of posting my proposed job, I had a couple of trades people message me. I liked being able to read the reviews of each tradie before having them come give me a quote.

As a business/tradie, STAY AWAY... No communication. Impossible to cancel, no accountability. They take your money and won't let you cancel. We've been trying for 3 months to cancel, it seems impossible to do so... Don't sign up in the first place
