I wasn't going to be in on the day they were delivering and was able to reschedule, including over the weekend. First plus point.
On the day, I stepped out for a coffee and saw the courier as I was walking up to the flat. He asked my name and ensured that I could open the door before handing me the delivery. Good to be 100% sure, right? Second plus point

they are really nice for putting it under the door mat so it doesn’t get stolen i like this company a lot better than Evri and Royal mail. i also like how they provide many different photos for proof and it’s not blurry. great job!

Receiving a shipment on time, intact at the correct address and professionally delivered is not an “experience “ but normal good service which long ,long ago was a normal phenomenon and rewarded by a simple thank you.

Hived's review response isn't worth the trouble. If they cannot find my details just shows how inefficient they are. Still don't know what happened to my phone. .Being returned to supplier', but JL still want to 'investigate' rather than provide a refund as requested. Seems they will do anything not to provide a refund. No-one in the UK ever makes contact. It's all people in Cape Town writing from a script that means nothing.
Between the two of them John Lewis and Hived don't know what is going on with my delivery. Multiple emails with misinformation from both sides. 1st Hived claimed that there was an unsuccessful delivery attempt. Not true. Managed to speak to someone at Hived who checked. First excuse: the driver didn't leave the depot.
Second excuse: the item wasn't on the van. Promised next day delivery. Nothing. More emails chat, etc. back and forth. John Lewis staff in SA just provide th equivalent of pouring honey on a dummy, i.e. appear sympathetic but no action and don't know what is going on.
Today, informed item would be delivered and to give the delivery people more time as only half the day had gone. Of course no delivery again.
New excuse from Hived: problem with scanning the item. So apparently a brand new phone in a box with a bar code is causing a 'scanning problem' They have no idea when the phone will be delivered and I am guessing no idea where it is. John Lewis are refusing to provide a refund as apparently they don't have faith in the phoning being found and returned to them. Ha ha! but I have paid them and supposed to wait around until it turns up some time, never. If they had any decency they would send another phone by express delivery and ask Hived to return the first one to them, if it's ever found. Disgraceful. Now being told it will take 24 -48 hours for Hived to investigate. What!!!
