Appalling and Traumatizing Experience…

Appalling and Traumatizing Experience at St John and Elizabeth Hospital – Zero Empathy

I am writing this review to warn others about a deeply distressing experience I endured with a doctor giving steroid injections at St John and Elizabeth Hospital. I was subjected to agonizing pain due to his clear medical negligence, and the hospital's complaints process has completely failed to hold him accountable.
During both of my procedures, the doctor administered a local anesthetic to my hand and immediately began working on me, falsely claiming the painkiller worked straight away. Instead of allowing the standard few minutes for the area to go properly numb, he ignored my severe distress and suffering. The pain was so unbearable that I was screaming for several minutes. During the second procedure, he even stopped midway to show me the cyst liquid while I was in excruciating agony, and only offered to stop the operation when it was nearly finished.
I left both appointments in absolute agony, and my hand did not stop hurting for over two weeks. When I attempted to go through the hospital's complaints procedure, they dismissed my concerns and concluded that the doctor acted professionally. It is incredibly frustrating that they would protect this individual rather than investigate his unprofessional and traumatic treatment of patients.
If you have had a similar horrendous experience with this doctor during steroid injections, please come forward and reply to this review. Patients deserve empathy and safe care, which I absolutely did not receive here.

Google & Trustpilot Review Draft
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely exceptional, "celebrity" experience!
I recently had an operation at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth, performed by the brilliant Professor Saurabh Jain, and I cannot praise the entire team highly enough. From start to finish, they looked after me so beautifully and made me feel incredibly special.
A very special thank you goes to Rebecca Flowers and the wonderful anesthetist team. They took such amazing care of me and helped me fall asleep so peacefully and calmly right before the procedure. The entire nursing staff were phenomenal, kind, and just genuinely amazing people.
Professor Jain is so wonderfully attentive, reassuring, and professional that he truly made me feel like a celebrity patient. I am so deeply grateful to everyone for their exceptional care and deep kindness. I am recovering well and absolutely cannot wait for my follow-up appointment to see the wonderful results. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

You ask me why I scored you one star

You ask me why I scored you one star. You charged me £1200 for an MRI scan on a machine that i snot even up to date and is old and clunky. You said you would give me a receipt for the payment when I cam out and yet I was then asked to wait half an hour for someone to come off their lunch break. The doctor said that the condition would get worse and offered no support or surgery. His name is Dr Youngman and I have forwarded a copy of that conversation to the GMC and copies of the MRI scan.

Today I spoke to a woman in the MRI department and asked her to send a copy of the MRI Images to my GP at my GPs request. She insisted on not sending them by email and said to me she is not going to be dictated to by me when she asked what I would like and I said I would like a hard copy of my images and a copy sent to my GP. I told her it is my data and I am asking her how I and my GP would like it processed. She shouted at me and was rude and slammed the phone down. I am very reasonable and polite and my request is reasonable. I am now going to make a complaint to the ICO about how my data has been processed by an angry abusive woman.

I cannot thank all the staff enough at…

I cannot thank all the staff enough at The St John & St Elizabeth hospital for all the care I’ve received for my recent operation.

In particular my graceful appreciations to Mr Vibhash Mishra - Consultant Urologist who performed the OP. His care, professionalism and expertise is second to none!

Also my thanks to Mr Dylan Viswanatha- Consultant Anaesthetist for being so comforting as he put me out.

Other members of staff fully deserve recognition such as the the two reception members of staff and also Jeizelle Manliguis - Recovery Nurse, Daisy Wurie -Heath Care Assistant and Alaskan Dra - Senior Staff Nurse.
