Appalling and Traumatizing Experience…
Appalling and Traumatizing Experience at St John and Elizabeth Hospital – Zero Empathy
I am writing this review to warn others about a deeply distressing experience I endured with a doctor giving steroid injections at St John and Elizabeth Hospital. I was subjected to agonizing pain due to his clear medical negligence, and the hospital's complaints process has completely failed to hold him accountable.
During both of my procedures, the doctor administered a local anesthetic to my hand and immediately began working on me, falsely claiming the painkiller worked straight away. Instead of allowing the standard few minutes for the area to go properly numb, he ignored my severe distress and suffering. The pain was so unbearable that I was screaming for several minutes. During the second procedure, he even stopped midway to show me the cyst liquid while I was in excruciating agony, and only offered to stop the operation when it was nearly finished.
I left both appointments in absolute agony, and my hand did not stop hurting for over two weeks. When I attempted to go through the hospital's complaints procedure, they dismissed my concerns and concluded that the doctor acted professionally. It is incredibly frustrating that they would protect this individual rather than investigate his unprofessional and traumatic treatment of patients.
If you have had a similar horrendous experience with this doctor during steroid injections, please come forward and reply to this review. Patients deserve empathy and safe care, which I absolutely did not receive here.
