We had a bad experience
We had a bad experience with this company. We ordered sliding doors, two rooflights and a picture window, on the basis of supply and install, despite them not offering the lowest quote for Cortizo doors - we wanted the assurance of install being undertaken by the supplier. The glazing all arrived separately over the course of several weeks, with the doors taking two and a half months - despite the two week timeline claimed on the website, holding up our build. The large glazing also arrived with only one delivery driver, leaving us in difficulty to unload and store for weeks. They did not co-ordinate with the installers at all, and it turned out to be a third party - who turned up asking for cash payment and offering no paperwork or warranties/ assurances or guarantees for their work. The sliding doors have been scratched and smeared with expanding foam. Home Build doors take no responsibility for the installers who we had believed to be part of the company. We have had no communications following a formal complaint about the misleading comunications and poor service. When I asked if they offered install they had said yes, only clarifying it's a third party after the sale.

We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience and would like to address several points raised in your review with full transparency.
Firstly, to clarify: Home Build Doors is a supply-only company, and we do not offer in-house installation. At no stage did we invoice you for installation, nor was this service included on any signed documentation. You requested a quote for installation, and we sourced one from an independent installer and told you that you'd have to pay them directly (not something we'd advise if they worked for Home Build Doors) — as we often do to assist customers who don’t already have their own fitters. These fitters are completely independent from our company, and this is always made clear both verbally and in writing. We've reviewed call recordings and confirmed that at no point did we suggest the installers were part of an inhouse team.
With regards to your comment about being surprised the installers were not from Home Build Doors — this should not have come as a surprise, as it was never stated otherwise, nor was installation covered in any official paperwork or communication from us.
On the delivery timelines: your order included three different product types from three separate manufacturers — sliding doors, rooflights, and windows. Naturally, these are delivered separately and on different lead times. We apologise for the delay with your Cortizo Cor Vision sliding doors. While we did advise a 4-week turnaround, delays occurred due to an issue with the glass that arrived from the glass manufacturer, which is unfortunately outside our control. We'd rather send a perfect product delayed in the unlikely event of an issue, than a sub par product on time. That said, we have since improved how we communicate lead time risks for certain product lines.
Regarding the delivery driver and unloading: large glazing items are delivered kerbside and always require site support for offloading, as outlined in our delivery terms. We understand this can be challenging and always try to advise customers in advance of what to expect.
As for the issue with scratches and expanding foam, we have acknowledged this and are actively working with the manufacturer to arrange a visit to rectify the problem — this is an open and ongoing matter which we are continuing to support you with.
In summary, while there were some issues with delays and third-party arrangements, all items were delivered, all contracts fulfilled, and the products have been installed to a high standard, aside from one minor defect currently being resolved.
We appreciate your business and hope the resolution currently underway will leave you more satisfied with the outcome.

Low lever apprentice runs things
Started off well, then organisation went down hill after ordering more than 1 item, deliveries messed up, orders messed up, product supplied lower quality than expected, issues with 50 out of 57 items.
Only use one supplier and receive items from a back room production line which is why they are cheaper.
Tried communicating to keep with it due to low prices but with problem after problem I would rather pay 30% more than deal with the stress created trying to get it done right by these,
The young lad will tell you yes yes yes don’t worry I’ll sort it out for you and then nothing happens, no backbone, no urgency, no understanding, to inexperienced and to unorganised to understand being where he is.
Will never use these again

Thank you for your feedback, though we’re sorry to hear you feel this way.
Firstly, we’d like to clarify that we do not employ any apprentices, so the comments made regarding a "Low Level Apprentice" are factually incorrect.
While we always aim for 100% customer satisfaction, the main issue on your order stemmed from a temporary fault with one of our composite door supplier’s production lines — something that was unfortunately outside of our direct control but was communicated to you.
We do not rely on a single supplier, as claimed in your review. In fact, we work with multiple established manufacturers across hundreds of product lines. Some of your orders were UPVC items, which you acknowledged were of good quality and caused no issues. The core problems raised related to adjustments required on the locks after installation, as well as missing cills and frame extenders — all of which were resolved as soon as they were reported other than adjustment on the locks which we unfortunately cannot assist with and are currently looking into the issues stemming from the production line.
Your statement that your account manager offered no assistance is also inaccurate. On one occasion, he personally drove over two hours to hand-deliver a small part to help you complete your job on time — going well beyond what is typically expected in a supply-only service.
We understand your frustration, and we did everything reasonably possible to support you through the issues raised. We’re sorry to hear you won’t use us again, but we stand by the efforts our team made to assist and resolve each matter professionally.

We ordered some black heritage bespoke size doors. We found the company really helpful when acquiring quotes for the doors and the doors arrived as expected. We are really happy with our doors, they look great. We have had a small issue with one of the glass panels filling with condensation and within 48 hours of contacting the company they have organised a replacement panel, great customer service from Lory. Would recommend!

Excellent sales team and customer service
I was a bit reluctant to order windows, patio and entrance doors online without any prior experience, knowledge and ability to view the products live. However, Josh M. from sales has been extremely helpful. No query was left unanswered and even asked and checked on my knowledge to make sure I order the right things at the right size. He provided solutions for our time sensitive order ensuring we will receive everything on time for our project timeline. His communication was clear, accurate, courteous and most importantly prompt. He made the whole experience seamless and built our confidence in the process which ultimately lead us to purchasing 10 windows, a patio door and an entrance door with a side panel and some extras on top! Definitely a 10 out of 10 customer service experience thanks to Josh.
I have also found that many smaller local window and door traders order their stock from here (same brochure etc) hence was able to see some of the products in their showrooms!
I am currently awaiting delivery and hoping everything will be the same great experience and quality as I have experienced so far. :)

We got a black heritage style double door 2400w x 2100h and then a single heritage door.
Both are great quality and look great. Delivery was a day ahead of schedule too which was helpful for sequencing builder activities.
