Decorated Veteran Condemns eBay Seller for False Fraud Accusation After Wrong Item Delivered
Northport, NY – October 22, 2025 — Carrie-Anne Gonzalez, a decorated U.S. veteran and long-time eBay customer, is speaking out after being wrongfully accused of fraud by an online seller following a clear delivery error.
Gonzalez ordered Allure moth traps through eBay, but the item she received was not the correct product. Upon contacting the seller and providing photographic proof of the shipping label, box, and contents, the seller refused to correct the mistake. Instead, they accused Gonzalez of fraud and reported her to eBay.
“I’ve served my country with integrity and have always conducted myself the same way in my personal and professional life,” said Gonzalez. “To be accused of fraud over a $20 order — after providing proof — is completely unacceptable. It’s not just insulting, it’s disrespectful to the values veterans like me live by.”
Despite repeated attempts to resolve the issue directly with the seller, Gonzalez received no resolution and has since escalated the matter to eBay for review. She urges eBay to take stronger action in protecting consumers, particularly veterans and seniors, from false accusations and retaliatory seller behavior.
“This isn’t about the money,” Gonzalez added. “It’s about accountability and respect. No buyer should be accused of fraud for pointing out a mistake.”

Plants arrived quickly, shipping information was very accurate! I ordered a peace lily, spider plant, and golden pothos. All arrived in good condition, despite having to ship in unexpected freezing weather! All were packaged very well, which is the part I was a little hesitant about upon hearing about the company. The only issue was that part of the pothos plant did not have any roots, and thus died off quickly after arrival. Most of the plant is still intact and thriving, though. And the other two are doing great as well! Overall, I am happy with the service and products!

Some plants arrived with some frost damage due to abnormally cold weather, but after sending an email with pictures to the customer service team, they said they would send a replacement plant.

I would have given 5 stars, but for a delay in shipping which was not really the company’s fault. The plant is beautiful and arrived unscathed. USPS did an awful job of updating shipping info and took too long to actually get going.
I truly appreciated the communication the company sent about any issues.

Great plants!
Both of my plans arrived in excellent condition. They are healthy and as described. I purchased the heat pack because our temperatures have been really low in the northeast, and it kept them in great shape.
