I had left my company Health scheme and…
I had left my company Health scheme and wanted to take on a personal policy. Fay-Louise Butler from Howden Life followed up an online quote and walked my through my options and provided me with a better quoted suited to my needs. Gave me time to think it over without any pressure and I was happy with the result and took out the new policy. Would recommend Howden Life & Help.

Helping through the health insurance minefield
My once a year conundrum regarding trying to work out if my annual health insurance renewal was good value was helped immeasurably by Ben at Howden. He helped me through the process step by step and clearly is very knowledgeable in this area. And he/Howdens are not linked to any providers (completely independent). I had been with one health insurance provider for 2 years when I received a renewal for year 3 that had risen considerably (24%). I wanted to know if the renewal quote was competitive on a like for like basis with other providers. And whether it was value for money. During a call with Ben I was able to establish that my existing policy and renewal price was NEITHER competitive NOR value for money! He found me a policy, with another (well known) provider that was not only significantly cheaper but had better conditions! It really was a no brainer to not renew with my previous provider and start a new policy with the new one. The whole process took about an hour by telephone. But it is worth investing the time as the savings were so significant. Just make sure you have all details about your existing policy so a real like for like comparison can be done. The other positive is that when my renewal is due in 1 year, Howdens, will do the leg work to compare across the market against my renewal. So, I’ll save the time and hassle of trying to do this myself. Thoroughly recommended 👍
