I was given no warning that my card and also my children's cards had expired, so my two children were stuck in France on a school trip without available spending money. I have also found it difficult to transfer funds from the Jar to my external account.

Rapid response from the team as always. I needed to unlock a card that had been lost and later found- easy to make contact and card good to go in minutes. Team were professional and effective and as expected polite and friendly. Great Service!!

A great little tool and works well, if only they could have a bank transfer facility on the app to send to third party’s as not all businesses take card payments.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with HyperJar and would strongly advise others to be cautious.
After installing the app on my new Android phone, I was unable to complete verification because the SMS code never arrived. It has now been over two weeks, and despite repeated contact with their webchat and complaints team, the issue remains unresolved.
What makes this worse is the complete lack of proper customer support. There is no contact number, and the responses from webchat are repetitive and unhelpful. I was constantly told that the “internal team is looking into it” with absolutely no timeframe provided.
Because of this issue, I have effectively been locked out of accessing my own money. HyperJar does not support ATM withdrawals, and despite requesting multiple times to transfer my funds to my linked bank account, this has still not been done. I have been chasing this daily with no progress.
One interaction with a webchat agent (Zishan) was particularly frustrating — I received scripted responses, no real assistance, and the chat was ended without resolution.
This level of service is unacceptable for any financial service provider. Customers should not be left without access to their funds or kept waiting indefinitely with no clear communication.
I am now considering escalating this matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Overall, a very poor and stressful experience.

Was able to access human support through the Live Chat function on a weekday evening. They resolved my request quickly.

HyperJar has been brilliant since day one.
It's so simple to use and the kids also have their own app.
My daughter broke her card and I was able to order a replacement using the App.
I dealt with Ajendra who sorted out the replacement with no fuss.
Highly recommended.
And unlike all the other kids card accounts with certain banks, there is no monthly fee.

Been a customer for around 3years, So had a few niggles with setting up a new mobile ( old tech + spelling mistake for context). Team were super helpful, chats have been simple and to the point which is what i love. App overall 8.5/10 can be a bit hard to work out whats going on sometimes mainly finding info. Still recommend all day long. .. update some spellings..

Cards are easy for children to use. Easy to top up. When card is expiring takes less than 2minutes to arrange for new one to be sent out.

Been using this app for nearly 2 years at this point, mainly to pay my kids their monthly allowance. No monthly charges and physical cards for the kids, plus separate “jars” for separate goals. Great app.

I made a withdrawal transfer which is usually always instant , it’s been over 35 hours now and still not recieved it even though the money left my account , I’ve contacted support MULTIPLE times and every single time they send me an automated answer about taking max 24 hours. I mention it’s been 35 and they say just please wait. No one seems to know what they’re talking about and no one’s been in touch. Absolutely rediculous
I appreciate the response however my funds have not been released as there is still one pending so I am not sure where that information came from. They asked me a load of questions and haven’t responded

Terrible experience with compliance teams they do not answer any of your questions despite telling them a transfer was made in error
No number to call to speak to someone and delays in email responses despite them quickly emailing to say they are withholding funds
Tried to make a complaint they have done nothing and still holding onto funds they say it’s regulatory that they do these checks however had no issue up until an error of transfer was done quickly tried to correct it by requesting a cancellation and now they are holding back a terribly poor service from this team to rectify an issue
Sent a long email to what they have not done and asked without any response.
