Aavoid at all costs!
In my entire professional career, I have never encountered such an unprofessional and disorganised group of people. My interview process at Hyperscience consisted of eight rounds over 1.5 months: initial HR screening, hiring manager interview, peer interview, channel interview, sales interview, technical services interview, a presentation to the solution engineering panel, and finally a meeting with senior leadership. This process was plagued by frequent rescheduling and shifting of meetings due to their internal misalignment, with an expectation for me to be flexible at every turn.
Throughout the process, I received numerous positive feedback, both verbal and written, and even a written assurance from HR that Hyperscience was interested in extending an offer after my last meeting. Based on this, I declined other job offers, a decision I soon regretted as I later learned from HR that they had advertised and interviewed for a role that did not exist - headcount was never approved nor budgeted for and the start date was 1-2 months away but not confirmed!
After weeks of complete silence and chasing them with phone calls and emails, HR finally responded with vague excuses of sickness and poor staffing, yet reassured me that Hyperscience was still interested in hiring me. Despite this reassurance, after another few weeks, I requested a more formal assurance. Instead, they abruptly informed me that the role was no longer available and that I was never given an offer in the first place.
To say I was upset is an understatement. This was the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with, and it was the most shocking HR experience I have ever encountered. Both the Senior Director of Global Talent Acquisition and the Principal Recruiter lacked any form of professionalism or courtesy, keeping me in the dark despite my repeated attempts to get in touch. They showed no empathy and refused to take any accountability. This entire experience was a complete waste of time considering the whole process took about 3 months! Avoid this company at all costs!
