Same review as everyone else

Same review as everyone else. Signed up, no work, just want to take your money. I've ended up blocking payments as cancelling subscription is impossible, because it's a scam site. Note they haven't claimed this profile.

Don't ever suscribe to IAPWE

Don't ever suscribe to IAPWE.

They make you think it's a job seeking opportunity but they make you arrange a monthly payment to access their service, first, making it then very very difficult for you to cancel it.

Their cancelling procedure extremely silly and vague, but they tell you you can "cancel anytime". They scam you.

After one month, you come to realize that their only aim is for you to stay suscribed, as their tools are old and their webpage is not well constructed.

You won't ever work with them, earn any money nor improve your writing.

IAPWE just wants your 5$ a month.

They are absolute scammers.

Don't suscribe through your credit/debit card if you are not a Paypal user. (That's the most difficult one to cancel, and the most obvious for people who are not familiar with Paypal.)

IAPWE should be completely cancelled forever.

I haven't still been able to cancel my subscription. I thought I had completed the process last month, but I have been billed again.

I am about to change my credit card because of them.

It's been a year and a half of this, and I am frankly quite tired.

Don't suscribe, I'm letting you know.

Just another fake freelance writing platform.

I received no response or payment for my submitted article. After reading reviews online, I realised it was a scam, so I cancelled the account. They continued to charge me a subscription fee. I've emailed their "accounts team" but I don't hold out much hope - I'll just cancel it via PayPal.

I wish I could give a zero

I wish I could give a zero! I became a member for $4.99/month and after about a month I figured out it was a scam! I wrote an email to cancel my membership and canceled the recurring payment through PayPal. The following month they reactivated the recurring payment through PayPal and continued to charge my card for another almost 6 months! I recently wrote them again this time I threatened legal recourse! I'm waiting to see what happens. Please Please Please don't get a membership with them a total scam!

This business is a scam

I answered a craigslist ad looking for writers. I filled out an application and sent some samples. A couple months later I get an email from IAPWE saying I've been accepted to get leads for writing assignments. OK, fine. I'll check it out. I'm told to go to a website and create a profile. Here there are several subscription options. I don't really get what they even mean or what they are offering, but there's a free one, so I sign up for that one. It wants me to go through PayPay even though the charge is zero. Ok, fine. I figured they just have bad developers. After signing up I look at their leads and of the first 20 or so, only 2 had actual relevant information. The rest all link to 404 error pages. What a joke and a waste of time.

When I got my PayPal receipt for $0.00 it said that subsequently I would be charged $4.99 per month. What? This is the first time this is mentioned. So this is literally fraudulent. They lie to you and then charge you. PayPal has unfortunately stopped offering users the option to unsubscribe in PayPal (Why did they do this?!). Instead they provide a link to the AIPWE site which, predicably, goes to nowhere useful. So I had to spend about 20 minutes hassling with the PayPal support AI and finally someone at PayPal canceled the subscription.

I had very low expectations to start with. I should have had negative expectations. Avoid this website like the plague!

They send fake emails to recruit applicants and hide a paid membership activation in the registration process

This is a scam business. I received an email with the subject "Re: [My Name]" from IAPWE, stating that my application had been accepted, despite my not recalling ever submitting one and having no trace of their name in my browser's chronology nor email history. Given the seemingly legitimate appearance of the website and the fact that several colleagues follow the organization on LinkedIn, I decided to proceed with the sign-up anyway, since the subscription seemed to have a free option.

Only after completing the registration form, it was mentioned that the free subscription includes a 30-day trial for the paid version. I was asked to link my PayPal account for a payment that showed as $0.00, so I proceeded with confirmation thinking it was just to associate it for potential future upgrades I could choose.

However, upon receiving the confirmation email, after the registration procedure was over and submitted, I found out that a recurring payment of $4.99 per month, with the first payment scheduled for the next month, was automatically set on my PayPal account, which had not been disclosed, at least not clearly for sure, anywhere during the sign-up process. Furthermore, the instructions for canceling via PayPal (as the cancellation option is not available on the account page on their website, which is already quite shady) were incorrect, referencing a nonexistent "Payments" tab.

Ultimately, with the assistance of PayPal support, I was able to (hopefully) cancel the recurring payment by navigating to "Financial Information" > "Manage Automatic Payments" and deleting IAPWE from the list of recurring payments.

I then found numerous Reddit threads, blogs, forums and articles where dozens colleagues shared identical experiences, starting from the fake email response to an application that was never been submitted to the "accidental" paid subscription. Many don't immediately realize the activation of the set-up payment before months (no confirmation is requested for the individual payments), or they find out, but struggle to cancel the subscription not finding the necessary information to proceed.

The only reply I got from them is that they even have a "redundancy" (I quote) in their subscription process to avoid people subscribing to a paid membership by accident… Oh well.

Thank you Reviewer Guys for opening the eyes of all the Writers. I too got a selection email after about a month and after going through their various like Basic, Supporter, Professional, and Business I chose to select Basic as it involves zero cost. However on the very next page, even though the payable amount was showing as Zero it was asking for Credit card details, which is definitely going to land us in trouble if entered. So, before that, I read about 5 reviews on different platforms and Nowhere I was able to see positive reviews with more than 2 stars. We should make it public on Social media as well in order to protect other writers from falling trap to this scam company.

They promise you a free membership

They promise you a free membership, then charge you $4.99 every month. You tell them you want to cancel and they will not let you. Whoever runs it belongs in prison.

When you offer three choices, and one of the choices is to pay zero, you pick zero, and they charge you anyway, it is hard to call it anything but outright theft.

When you cancel, they do not acknowledge it. Instead, they tell you to contact some other company, which you cannot do because you cannot sign in at the other company. That is a company called PayPal. You cannot complain to them without logging in, and of course it is impossible to log in. I do not know how PayPal got involved in this at all, when the service was advertised as free.

IAPWE will not tell you who their executives are, which is good for them. If even 1% of their outraged victims went to the homes of their executives, probably they would stop. That, or incarceration.

How this ripoff fraudulent company is allowed to stay in business is a real mystery.

Thank you Reviewers

Thank you, folks for posting all your reviews. When I received their email, after sending it to so many writing jobs, I was excited someone had finally seen and liked my work. After all, I started filling in the form FREE, right, and whatever. But then I had to pay 3. something Euros monthly. What?! I thought this was free. So I resorted to TRUSTPILOT, and here we go!! SCAM! So, again, thank you guys for posting your reviews. They save many from being and getting scammed.

Scamming Rat Crooks.

So my first warning sign was when they started my acceptance email with
“Dear, Alfren”
My name is Alfred, the N isn't even close to the D so that's a pretty silly typo

But as soon as I saw the PayPal I knew for sure. Thankfully I’m not signed into it on my phone. Pieces of garbage hope they get sued for every penny.

They pay themselves automatically from your PayPal card. This is without any financial benefit on your side. I even did a job for them but they did not give me feedback. They probably sold the article and kept the money for themselves. Writers, it is a scam. Do not fall for it
