Not pleasant
I’ve visited this scan centre four times, and unfortunately my most recent experience was not as pleasant as the previous ones.
The sonographer, Nina, arrived late and was noticeably less welcoming compared to staff I’ve encountered before. During the scan, there was very little communication—she proceeded with measurements without explaining what was happening or providing reassurance, which made the experience feel impersonal. I only received information when I asked questions myself.
Overall, this visit felt quite different from the standard of care I had previously experienced here. I hope this feedback helps the team improve communication and patient interaction moving forward.

We recently had an ultrasound at Imaginatal, and we cannot recommend them highly enough. From the moment we walked through the door, the experience was seamless, professional, and—most importantly—deeply reassuring.
What Stood Out
* Warm Welcome: The front desk staff were incredibly efficient and kind. We were seen exactly at our scheduled appointment time, which is a rare find in healthcare these days.
* Expert Sonographer: Our sonographer, was fantastic. She took the time to explain the process clearly, ensuring we are comfortable before we even started.
Medical imaging can often feel cold or rushed, but that wasn't the case here. If you are looking for a facility that treats you like a person rather than just a chart number, this is the place to go.

Going to book elsewhere
For the price paid the images were not clear, thought possibly should have been offered a rescan. Out of 124 images we struggled to pick 5 thats how poor quality they were. One of those pictures was a 2D of the foot as the 4d images that were taken were poor and fuzzy. Also did not see any limbs apart from 2D image of foot. Did confirm gender though. As stated would of rather been offered a rescan for another date than have the images provided.The staff were lovely and friendly, However feel we will now try another service for a better experience and outcome. Very disappointed.

Super friendly welcoming staff, the sonographer was so nice and helpful and really added to the excitement of our gender reveal scan. It was a wholesome experience after our 12 week scan wasn't really at the hospital so restored our faith in the process.

Unprofessional Overall
On 8/3 I went to a different private clinic to have a reassurance scan, I was told it was too early and they can see the gestational sack and yolk sack but not the embryo yet and they referred me to St.Michaels early pregnancy unit. On 11/03 I had a scan with the unit and they have identified the embryo and detect the heartbeat very clearly. The imagining was also quite magnified and very clearly visible. Unfortunately I did not have my partner with me so I booked another scan on 15/03 so that my partner can see the baby and the heartbeat as well.
I booked it with this clinic at this time because regardless how good the previous clinic was I had a negative feeling associated to it (nothing to do with the clinic) so wanted go somewhere with a positive energy. We went there and immediately the clinic looks quite run down compared to the first clinic I went to. No hand towels in the toilet(you need to go outside and take on top of the water cooler.) Also they do not have disposable water cups but plastic reusable kid cups which is not hygienic for a clinic environment. I was called in by the sonographer into the room. The seat was not prepared from the previous patient and there were ripped paper towels on the bed and on the floor. Then she told me to take off my clothes below waist but didn`t provide any gown or anything to cover myself with apart from a paper towel. When the scan started she had a very difficult time to locate the yolk sack and the fetal pole. Couldn`t magnify the image at all. All looked extremely small on the screen and she struggled to take measurements, Then proceeded to tell me that she can`t see a heartbeat and anything can happen at this time. She failed to answer any of the questions and just give general repeated answers. She said she will refer me to the hospital again. On the way out I was pushed to book a second appointment with them while I clearly told them I won`t make any other appointments without going to the hospital scan as what is the point?? They didn`t tell me anything about a report and we just left. I then received a report via email in my spam and it said that they saw an echogenic structure that might be a fetal pole with no cardiovascular enhancement with question marks. I told them clearly that the hospital clearly identified the embryo and also we saw the heart beat. I understand the heartbeat can stop and the baby can stop developing but it doesn`t change the fact that it is a fetal pole and not just an echogenic structure. Now I am waiting for the hospital scan to see what is actually happening and it is extremely stressful. The sonographer didn`t give us an impression of a qualified, certified, trained and experienced professional at all. The cleanness and the state of the scan room was also very questionable. And we paid £104 for this. Regardless of what the outcome with this, I will never come back to this place. I would avoid this place for early pregnancy screening as clearly they are not trained for it.

However, in early pregnancy scans, findings can sometimes be very sensitive and reports may be worded cautiously when there is any uncertainty. Our intention is always to act in the patient’s best interests and ensure there is no delay in onward referral or follow-up where needed.
We are sorry that you felt unsupported and dissatisfied with both the communication during the scan and the wording of the report. That is never the experience we want for our patients.

Great service!
The atmosphere in the waiting room is very calm and pleasant. The reception area is a little dark, which adds a sense of intimacy and comfort and helps you relax. The staff are very nice and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Great experience!!! lovely people, sonographer was so helpful, went in for a gender scan. Babies legs were crossed and she tried so many different ways before finally going up and down stairs did the trick, she didnt give up and didnt rush us! Really pleased! thank you again !!!
