Ingo sucks

Ingo sucks, they are trying to say that I tried to cash the same check twice. Ummm no I didn't. If and when my check gets approved I throw it away. So that was a lie. Now all my online debit card accounts have been put on hold because of this bullshit accusation.

Dysfunctional

This review follows 2 attempts to work with this service, both unsuccessful. I feel badly for the poor support reps who tried to help. They deserve my complements, especially since they are working with functions... that don't.

You are required to upload proof of your identity (govt ID and SSN) and your deposit account information in order to use this service. They also want a facial shot. The account info and facial biometric were quickly accepted. The scans of valid ID (accepted by other financial institutions) showed, but then an error message appeared stating it did not save and to try again. It still said complete, then kicked out the error message.

I reached out to support, who guided me through the process several times, with the same result. They had no remedy that worked.

Waited a week and tried again. Same result. Never even got to upload a check to cash, and based on the other stories here maybe that was a blessing.

They did get the info. The endless disclosures allow them a lot of latitude. Now the app doesn't even populate, and I can't even delete my account, which is very concerning in this increasingly unsafe digital AI climate.

I called the published support number to close my account, nullify all agreements, and destroy all personal info. Again, the rep was wonderful.

This "service," app, and overall product performance and security trustworthiness do not rank highly for me, and I will continue to actively monitor my accounts for any lapses.

Horrible service

Horrible service. i never had any issues with this company until cashing my last check. I followed the instructions to the nose and it was still rejected with no explanations. I will start depositing jn my regular bank

I went through every step

I went through every step. They told me to void the check and my funds would be released. I voided the check and then they denied it. Now the check is ruined and Im out 649.00

WORSE COMPANY AND TERRIBLE CS

Not only did I chat in TWICE. The first time no one responded for 13 minutes. The second time she disconnected the chat because I didn’t respond BACK in under 2 minutes. The third time they tried to say because it’s a “handwritten signature” the was going to be $33 because it’s “higher risk”. However the last two times I’ve paid the $5. She says she can’t reverse the fee even though I know they can since the first person who assisted me did it no problem.

Can I give them 0 stars? They cleared my check and took their money out but it's not issued to my Venmo account. "Technical issues" they said and they said no idea when it's going to be deposited, give it "24 business hours" they said. I guy even hung up on me. What a lousy business they are. Avoid them people!

Horrible

Never experience such a horrible horrible ordeal.I attempted to catch my check with them on a saturday.It is now monday paid thirty four dollars.Have my money in minutes well.Didn't get my money still haven't gotten my money.Do not use this company.Do not trust this company.They're a horrible, they shouldn't even be a company.They should be shut down, don't trust them.Don't use them.They suck, and if if you could give no stars, that's what I do.I'd give negative ten stars

Have to get check reissued!

Ingo is literally the worst. Uploaded front & back of check via Venmo app. Got email a few minutes later, that it was approved. Wrote VOID on front of check as instructed. App wouldn't upload the image. Tried several times. Called Ingo customer service. They cancelled the transaction. Obviously no way else to cash a voided check. Now I have to wait another week, for my company to reissue another check. Take my advice & never use Ingo!

DO NOT USE THEM TO CASH CHECKS, THEY WILL BONE YOU!!!

Like many other reviews on here, after using Ingo to cash a number of my monthly state retirement checks, they instructed me to void it as usual, they then rejected it without explanation. Now I must seek a reissue of the voided check which will take up to 4 weeks. Disgusting, deceitful, scumbags who care only for collecting fees, and couldn't care less when they absolutely screw over their customers. I can only imagine how bad this would be for a person depending on that money to survive. They should be ashamed of themselves, and they should keep in mind this kinda crap will come back on them. One day they will become insolvent, and will close for business. May the newly layed off employees go a month without any money, and with the amount of people they have done that to I hope it's a year......

I wish I could give these clowns a negative star review. They won't accept legit checks and do whatever they can to make people's lives harder than it needs to be. Rude customer service. They need to be investigated. They are crooks.

I would give a 0 if I could! I called customer service and explained to them my identity had been stolen and my Ingo money account was compromised. They ended up closing my account due to many bad checks tried to get cashed. Once I learned what happened to me I contacted all my accounts and Ingo was the only one who said they have rules to follow and could not reopen my account!! I asked for a manager and got hung up on.

Makes no sense

I don’t know how they’re still in business. Shut down my mobile deposit 2 years ago and will not tell me why. They are rude and nasty when you finally get them on the phone. Won’t tell me anything about why they closed it. I can’t make a mobile deposit ever again!!! lol. Almost laughable Makes no sense.

This company is worthless like boobies on a bull! I tried cashing a check from the GOVERNMENT and was told that I can't because a GOVERNMENT check was over 10 days old. What kind of bs is that? GOVERMENT CHECKS ARE GOOD FOR A YEAR! WORTHLESS CHECK CASHING APP! DONT USE IT, CUSTOMER SERVICE TALKS TO YOU LIKE YOURE AN IDIOT!

Absolute garbage

Absolute garbage. Attempted to receive a claim payout from my insurance provider, and Ingo Money Inc failed to initiate the transfer both via ACH and push-to-debit. This must be the most poorly designed payments infrastructure in the industry, and I will never trust them again with my information

The POOR service of INGO money

Hello. Betty Pridgen here.
I have been using INGO now for about 7 years. All of a sudden, in October 2024, they started refusing to let me cash my checks. Customer service told me that I had a returned check for $300. I called my company to ask if any checks were returned and they said no. We had no records of any returned!! By INGO closing my account, I was not able to deposit with ALL of my accounts which included PayPal, Venmo, Netspend, and Cashapp!! I had checks totaling over $2500 that I couldn’t deposit and I was broke for almost two months!! I finally had to go to a brick and mortar bank that I used to have an account with and thank God, my account was still active!! It seems that we all have similar complaints and something needs to be done about INGO!! I honestly feel like there will be a Class Action Suit in the works real soon!! This kind of practice is so unacceptable! When you talk to people at the Customer Service, it’s as if they have been made to rehearse what to say!! Always, “oh we are sorry you are having problems, but we can’t open your account!!” Never a reason as to why it was closed in the first place!!
