This is my second trip professionally planned by InterRailingPackages. They are so derail-oriented and reliable with their planning. I’m very pleased with their services and highly recommend them!

We were returning to InteRailing after a gap of almost 35 years. We are well travelled across 4 continents - a lot of it by train in the 1970’s and 80’s.

Understandably much has changed. We are a lot older, almost everything is digital and cities are crowded by many more tourists.

However we had a wonderful holiday. Arriving at unknown train stations never ceases to thrill. This along with unexpected conversations on the journey and the exchange of information about places to see continue as before. We were looking for slow sustainable travel so watching the European landscape unfold across France, Germany and Italy remained a true joy.

We will definitely be back. The staff at InteRailing Packages were patient with our endless questions and plan changes as well as very informative. Our late booking made things more complicated but nothing went wrong. All of the hotel and rail bookings worked out well.

We do have some thoughts for seniors or people with mobility difficulties though.

Some of the train connections at stations were very tight. 13 minutes in 1 case. We knew the station from earlier years and knew that even in our 20’s that would have been a stretch. We advise to request longer times for connections when booking.

Also see if hotel rooms can be booked on the ground or first floor. There are lifts but some are so small they can only take 1 person and a suitcase. We did a lot of walking up 4 floors of very rickety stairs in one place.
We are pretty fit and healthy but not everyone could manage this.

If you aren’t too tech savvy the apps can be a bit intimidating at first so don’t leave setting them up until the last minute. They are not hard to use but we needed help from family initially. Also we ended up printing out paper copies of all of our bookings in spite of assurances that everything could be done on the apps. We did need these on several occasions. In Germany only paper reservations were accepted and several times we lost internet connections.

Book as early as possible. This may give you more options for trains and possibly fewer changeovers at stations.

Finally try to visit smaller cities and venues. These are much more pleasant, far less crowded and there are many ‘gems’ to see. They are often less expensive too. We stayed with friends in some places and it’s fair to say that they are pretty fed up with over tourism and the ‘mess’. Be considerate. In less visited places the chance to interact with the local community is far greater.

The ability to customise your holiday makes staying in different places, away from the more famous destinations, easy as InteRailing Packages has such a vast list of railway stations to choose from.

We are already planning another trip having learned a lot from this one. A return to Morocco via France and Spain again by rail and ferry is on the cards. We are confident that we can do this with InteRailing Packages.

Interrailing packages organised a two months solo travel custom package for myself. From booking all my public transports to hostels. Everything was well organised on their app providing all of the relevant details. When problems and issues occurred over the 2 months they would sort them as soon as possible. I will definitely be using them again in the future. The team were friendly and reliable and I would recommend anyone to book with interrailing as they have something suitable for everyone.

The internal rail team was amazing. They customized our package based on our route and travel duration, offering a reasonable price. Originally, we had five people, but we added two more a few months before departure—they were super flexible. We received our itinerary a month in advance, complete with hotel bookings, and used the Tineri app for detailed information and the Rail Planner app for planning.
All the hotels were clean and centrally located, even if some were smaller than we were used to. Their directions to the hotels were spot on, and navigating the transit system in each city was easy.
The most impressive part? Whenever we encountered issues, like cancelled trains or reroutes, we called them—even after hours—and within 15 minutes, they had us on another route with a new train. Fantastic support!

Recently, my girlfriend and I booked a 1-month interrailing trip away to Europe. We booked through InterrailingPackages and they literally did everything for us. Train tickets were booked, hotels booked and paid for; they even have an app which shows your trip details like where the hotels are in comparison to the train station and directions to get there. They have their own itinerary suggestions for while you're there too! Guidance for getting the train tickets on the rail planner app was clear, and on the one occasion the train time given to us didn't line up with the rail planner app, a new one was immediately given to us.

If I could give more that 5 stars I would, they well and truly earned it! Highly recommend :)

It was great having our train tickets and hotels bookings so well organized and accurate! Hotel Italia in Siena and Hotel Fontana in Venice were outstanding! The app was super useful and most activities that were arranged for us were fun and informative! Its a new way for us to travel, so thanks for making our trip memorable.

Unfortunately we selected the Euro Hopper tour for our first time travelling through Europe. The cost seemed fair before travelling as we didn’t know the region. Once we started to travel we realised they charged us over four times the actual cost to book the trip. It was my understanding that tour packages took a small portion of the cost of the trip as their fee however they made around $3000 AUD off of us when the trip costed $4000 AUD.

The accommodation was fine but I’m devastated that we could have booked at the Hilton for each stay and travelled first class by train for the price we payed to stay at mid range shared hostels.

Next time I will be taking the itinerary and booking it myself. I recommend you do the same. I’m very frustrated.

We had a fantastic time interrailing across Europe and it wouldn’t have been made possible without the help of interrailing packages. Everyone was so informative and friendly and willing to help with any questions we had. We were worried about catching the trains but the process was made so easy and we didn’t have to worry about anything! We went down the hostel route and every single one was perfect. We have already been recommending this company with not only our family and friends but people we met on the trip!

I had a wonderful time in Spain. The accommodation was good and getting fed on most of the trains was great.

Really helpful company. Everything went as planned and no hiccups along the way.

They couldn’t have been easier to talk to if we had any questions before during or after the trip.

Travelling through europe with a interrail package is a unique and unforgettable adventure. It's flexible, you get to travel at yoir own pace, and we enjoyed the landscapes of each country we passed through. The journey itself becomes part of the adventure.

A fantastic couple of weeks touring Europe by rail on Interrailing Packages’ ‘City Slicker’ offering - Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Ljubljana, Venice, Rome and Nice - kids loved it. Simply brilliant - stress free rail journeys on the continent (far more reliable and refined!!) and great accommodation (mix of hostels and hotels) in really convenient locations. All expertly planned and delivered to us via an app that contained tickets, seat reservations, accommodation bookings, directions and ‘things to do’. Really competitive on pricing too. We’ll be back for more next year. Give it a go - great fun

The rail and hotel arrangements perfectly suited our requirements. Hotels were centrally located and expecting our arrival. Tour recommendations were varied and interesting. Consultants were always available for questions.

Took an Interrail trip through Scandinavia for five weeks this last july/august. Everything was well arranged, very handy app in which you can find your whole Itinerary and necessary documents, seat reservations, emergency contacts etc. So relaxed that everything was taken care of and that I didn’t have to plan the whole route myself because that would’ve been a ton of work. As a first time interrailer it was nice to learn how it works with this company as my safety net.

I didn’t give them 5 stars though because of a few hiccups I’d noticed during my trip which could’ve been improved!
- Sometimes Interrail packages booked me hotels which didn’t have a physical check-in desk. So you had to check in with codes that are being mailed or texted to you. But because I didn’t book myself, I never received those codes and Interrail Packages should’ve forwarded them to me which didn’t happen. I had to call customer service of the hotels in those cases which was not always as easy as it sounds. I think they should pay more attention to providing all the necessary information to the client or not book hotels without a physical check in desk.
- I also found them not so reachable by phone as they make it sound. I called them twice during my trip, during office hours even, and nobody picked up. This would’ve been a problem had I been in a real emergency which I really couldn’t have solved by myself.
- They booked a night too many in one accomodation.
- There was one route on my trip for which they booked me 3 different trains to get to my destination, while I found out I could also get to my destination with just one train, which I ended up booking myself instead. So maybe they could’ve done a little bit more research there.
- You won’t get informed by Interrail Packages if there are delays or disruptions in the trains that are booked for you in advance, which I understand since this is hard to keep track of for all their clients. I think this is good to know for everyone, so be prepared to keep an eye out yourself for any changes in your route.

But overall a very pleasant experience and I would book again (if all the above points will be paid attention to though!)

We are a couple in our 60s who wanted to travel from Paris to Lake Bled then Venice with some stops on the way. Staff listened to our plan and compiled an itinerary that worked a treat. The app was great and having pre booked seats on intercity trains was fantastic. our hotels were of good standard adjacent to train stations and we could pre book trips at each stop, in our case Interlaken, Innsbruck. Bled and Venice. We went first class saw some great scenery and we had a great holiday with all the hassle taken care of. This is a great company efficient and responsive to queries both before and during the trip. Its never too late to interrail and you are doing the decent thing for the environment as well as having an interesting journey with all the details taken care of. Great experience

I have just returned home after a 10 day interrailing experience around Europe and I am already searching the website for my next trip! I can not compliment the company enough providing us with all the support and information needed which enabled our first ever interrailing trip to run as smoothly as possible. The useful Tineri app and the 24hr emergency contact gave us the reassurance and confidence throughout our trip that any issues would be handled efficiently and professionally. Within the app all the documents were stored, directions to the hotels were clearly stated and all the exciting trips available were advertised which meant that we could do everything through just one app. This turned what could've been stressful and overwhelming, into something easy and exciting. The trains were appropriately timed with no travelling at night or in the dark and alongside the central hotels, they allowed for maximised time in each city. If you are thinking of booking an interrrailing trip I would highly recommend Donal and the team!

Great variety--palm trees to glacial caves as well as lots of food options along the way. :-) The prearranged excursions as well as those we reserved ourselves were interesting and enjoyable. The InterRailing tour gave us a good taste of what could be called the heart of Switzerland...which gave us a desire to see much more of that beautiful country.

Amazing trip- very well organised with great hotels and train times

We did the City Slickers package 15 days,
a family of 6 staying in hotels with breakfast and riding first class. The package was put together perfectly, the instructions for travel, getting to hotels etc. was accurate. The hotel locations for the most part were ideal, clean and friendly with a good breakfast (excluding Paris). This trip created a lifetime of amazing memories, I would definitely use InterrailingPackages again.

Mostly everything was sort out, lovely selection of places, wasn't much flexibility if trains were delayed however so had to make sure you have spare cash Incase
