We are customers at the Lexington Park
We are customers at the Lexington Park, MD IStorage Facility and are extremely pleased with the customer service we receive and the how clean the establishment is with both the buildings and grounds. Shannon is an amazing, friendly and outgoing person that goes above and beyond in ensuring each customer is treated like a person and not jut a number. We highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a clean facility to store items safely. Shannon cares about her customers and it shows through her professionalism and daily interactions.
Roofs leaking raised rates at beginning of pandemic and stole my items
Roofs leaking ruined my items I complained and they refused to fix it. Now that the roof totally caved in they decided to fix it but all of my items were molded and water damaged by the time I came to get my things. No response from corporate or management. Homeless people live in the storage units and the cameras are broken so no security.

I would not recommend istorage to anyone. Upon renting a unit the lot had only ONE person working there. She was obviously flustered and frustrated and shared all the other employees quit. When signing the agreement the price was $159.99. The very next month the price jumped to $190.00. I should have went to where I previously rented at public storage.
Never rent units from iStorage
Never ever ever rent units from iStorage. First they have raided the rent 3 times in less than two years. They changed their payment system hoping you won't catch on so that you miss your monthly rent payment so they take over your unit.
Stay away from Burlington NJ Istorage.

Their outdoor area is a playground for criminals. There are no cameras. Locks are cut from trailers. Tires are slashed. No security at all. Fence is easy to climb over.
Staff is no help and is making no changes to make the area more secure. Should have known to stay away once I saw the condition of the property and landscaping. You’ve been warned
Rent somewhere else
Horrible. They increase the rates any time they want, several times a year. Broken AC in their climate controlled unit. Staff are not very helpful.
Rate Increases Every 3-6 months
My rental started in Dec 2020 and my fee was $134/mo. With tax and administrative fees, the bill is $154/mo. The first payment was $179 which was the $154 plus a new rental charge. The next 3 months my bill was $154. On the fifth month, my bill jumped to $177/mo. I went to the office and asked about it and was told that IStorage raises rates every 3-6 months. I will be moving my stuff out as soon as I can finish cleaning out and painting my garage.
Unsecure Storage Facility
We recently discovered our storage unit had been burglarized. The perps entered through the top of the unit, cut through the flimsy, inadequate wire sheeting, and lifted items up and over the top. They took their time, rummaged through every sealed box, every box within a box, and dumped every container, bag, etc. recklessly about. They stacked what was originally neatly, carefully stored furniture haphazardly upon other pieces of furniture. The manager was dismissive when I called, her comment " if you rent with us you have insurance. " But no offer to cover the deductible. They have security cameras at the entrance doors only, and BTW they couldn't provide any tapes for review. .....NOTHING! Police investigator suggested perps might have a storage unit of their own to hide the stash at night, and return later to then casually remove items at a later time. The day I cleared out our storage unit, I spoke with two additional renters at this storage facility that had also been burglarized. This is so violating! Please consider strongly before storing anything of value here. 4725 Madison Road, Cincinnati, 45227 Lesson learned...... Any storage facility that provides overhead access to view your belongings and to enter brazenly undetected is NOT SECURE. VERY BAD BUSINESS!!
Fraudulent Company
Extremely Short Version: I want to express my displeasure with iStorage in Valley Park, MO. I have had nothing but issues at this facility, and ultimately, I had no other option but to move my contents to another facility. I had thousands of dollar’s worth of damage to my contents due to the facility's neglect (mold issues, humidity, mice droppings on most of my things, and rodent damage). They charged my bank account for more than my rent payment, and I have been told they cannot give me my money back. Per the facility manager, all they can do is give me credit toward rent. So, if I want my credit towards rent, I will have to move my contents back into their facility. The area manager told me they could credit my bank account. However, it has been over a month, and still no credit. Please do NOT allow iStorage to keep a card on file for automatic rent payments or store any valuable contents at this storage facility. If you do, and you happen to ask the facility manager “what do I do?”, you can take her up on the response she gave to me: "I don't know; you could sue iStorage."

My name is Curtis, and I would like to say to you all, that one of your employees her name is Leslie, She has a wonderful attitude. Her phone etiquette is second to none.Today she helpped me set up my online account, my computer was moving slow and yet she remained calm and helpped me get through it.
Obtaining a strorage unit
Visiting iStorage just to hear their pricing and availability of specific units was a very pleasant experience! I could have visited with Alexis all day! She was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable of her building, resourceful and most important--friendly! AT first, she had no units in the size we needed available. However, within a couple of days she called me to verify that a potential size was now ready and we could come look at it. Her willingness to work with customers and take their needs seriously is a plus. She really went above and beyond to accommodate and assist our family. Thank you, Alexis, in East Montgomery, AL store!
Refund Check "Is in the Mail" Really?
Still waiting on a refund for a unit that was vacated. The local office is saying it is corporate. It has been 23 days with no refund check. When I called today they said they processed the paperwork, but corporate takes 3 to 4 weeks to send out refunds. If I was 3 to 4 weeks late paying there would be late charges and overlocks. Don't plan to use this business in the future.
Parkdale branch of I-Storage- Forest Park Ohio
I've had a unit at the Parkdale I-Storage in Forest Park OH for 18 months and when I had to downsize to a smaller unit, Keli in the office, made the transition a smooth one and while I worked in my unit, many hours over several days, she would drive by just to check on me while I was there alone. I live out of town and have had to reach out to her on more than one occasion and she's always be super friendly and great to work with.
Poor Customer Service
I had been with the storage 5 yrs prior to IStorage taking over. I received a letter in the mail from IStorage and the 1st paragraph was copied over by my mailing address. Red flag #1. They don't review before mailing. Went to pay my 2 storages and one was missing from the online bill pay. Sent 2 emails and 3 weeks later no response. Called in January and the women I spoke to said she would add my 2nd account and took the payment over the phone. It's now end of Feb and 2nd storage still isn't linked so I can pay online. Called again and the gentleman that answered said he would link the account as soon as we hung up. From conversation with both of these people neither of them apologized for not returning my emails nor that I have had to call two months in a row to get my storage added so I can pay the bill online. BUT they sure as heck would change me a late fee if I didn't do my part and pay the bill on time. Where has customer service gone these days? Prior company employees had great customer service and always answered emails timely. These folks act like I'm bothering them when I call. SAD, but might be time to move storages.
iStorage stole money from me…
I paid my bill over the automated service since they said I could no longer use the automatic in payment since I changed my bank card information. The next day, I have a $70 charge and a $90 charge on my account and only a receipt for the $70 that I agreed to. I called for days and no answer. I sent a message in their website and no answer. Today I get a call from the local storage to ask if I want a refund just to be told that it will take 3-4 weeks to process!! Seriously? They stole money from me then told me it will be a month until they can pay me back. I, then, asked how I can avoid this later and was told they can't promise it won't happen again. It's bad enough you guys raise your rates at the drop of a hat, but THIS?! iStorage is a terrible company with awful customer service. I would not recommend using them.

Greed, Disrespectful, and poor customer service
Don't waste your money at the Aston facility. I've been only here for 9 months and my rent already increased. It is a high-dollar facility. These people are nice at first to get you into a unit after that they drop off their customer service skills. Last month I was locked out of my unit after paying the bill. They costed me money because of quipment that was in there to do my job. They acted like it wasn't their problem. But I had to pay for their mistake. They didn't offer anything off the rent for their mistake. All they did was treated me rudely. The property manager and the district manager need work on their customer service. Especially the district manager. She comes off as a wiseass. Also the unit that I rent when it rains you stand in a puddle of water to get to it. They should be taking some of their greed money and fixing the roads in there so you're not standing in water. So if you want to be taken advantage of then rent here. But this is your warning don't waste your money
