I have been working with Mayla for nearly 3 years! She is wonderful, kind, fun to learn with, and has helped me improve my Italian in a way that has worked for me and my busy life. Grazie per tutto Mayla!

Mayla is an awesome teacher! Every one of her lessons is fully tailored to me in terms of language level, as well as topics discussed and learning materials. Lessons have a real mix of listening, reading, writing and speaking - which has been super useful. I work full time so this has been brilliant for me to improve quickly, whilst also enjoying each session! Thanks Mayla

Fantastic teacher super engaged, funny, thoughtful

I started working with Mayla around 3 months ago with little to no knowledge of the Italian language. She was very forthcoming in accommodating me twice a week under the constraints of my limited availability. There is no 'predefined' textbook we follow but a combination of reading, speaking, on-screen exercises, etc. make the experience more entertaining than I could have imagined - I am actually upset if we have to skip a lesson these days... Given we can pace the progress according to my own ability to absorb the materials, 3 months in, we have made good progress on grammar and telling / writing simple stories. Overall, I can only recommend her!

Mayla is so good teacher who always is trying that you understand what she explain, and to help you if you couldn't!

The classes with her are so funny, she continuosly is changing the type of exercises to try that you don't stop being focused.

I was lucky to have Mayla as my first Italian teacher. As hard as starting your life in Italy can be - the two hours each week were probably the best time and certainly they helped me keep going. The lessons are not only about the language but also about the culture and everyday life in Italy. Mayla is an exceptional teacher who gives attention to each student. I recommend!

I lived and worked in Italy for 2,5 years and wanted to keep my advanced level after returning back home to Germany. This is what I do for a year now in a weekly lesson with Mayla.
Focusing on communication skills Mayla also is challenging me with some additional grammar exercises.
I'm always looking forward to the next lesson and it truly is my highlight of the working day. Mayla has a very flexible and hands-on approach which I appreciate a lot and guarantees a stressless, carefree improvement of my Italian language skills.

Mayla is a fantastic teacher! Mayla was my teacher for a few months for beginner-level Italian, in an online class with two other colleagues (we had all recently moved to Italy). Mayla managed to always keep the classes engaging, with fun and interesting material. She always kept the classes relevant, for example making sure that our lessons included discussions about day-to-day life in Italy and Italian culture. At a personal level, Mayla is very friendly, which made the lessons a pleasure to attend!

My review is for Mayla Iacapo, my Italian teacher for the last 6 months in 1-1.conversation. I live and work in Italy. I am french and spent the last 13 years in Asia speaking english and french plus basic chinese. Language can be a barrier in the daily life . Mayla made it feel lighter. Beyond the professional relationship she understood my way of thinking and priorities to make the learning more effective. I started A2 and confirmed B1 while working and managing my family.
