JD Gyms - Wolverhampton Avis 

I went with a close friend who recommended JD to me as a overall great multi-functional gym
And I agree it gets the job done in machines/equipment you can utilise

Great gym with great equipment, great staff with good fitness knowledge. Just wish they offered an NHS discount as my other local gym does and is more affordable

One of the best gyms in wolves, great equipment and machines especially legs, well lit and a modern feel.

Music is energetic, BUT only thing is its repetitive same dance house music every day! Would be amazing to hear something different now and again especially like uk, hiphop afrobeat ect. Simular to as you would walk into a jds sports shop. Im a dj and am happy to help out with playlists 🙂

There are alot of classes on all the time. Shower facilities open till 12am.
Separate women only section.

Everything needs to be organised according to space and washroom or restrooms are so dirty, one cannot breathe as well.
For me it’s like half hell

Been to three classes this week. Two out of three , there was no trainer.
This morning JD Burn fit class 07:00-0730 no trainer people was waiting outside main Studio. Trainer turned up 07:10 preparing for class I wait till quarter pass still not ready so I just left.
Equipment broken not been fixed , don't know how long will it takes.
Manager need to get a grip.

We were shown around by a helpful member and staff. Joining was easy and the facilities are great.

Very easy process to join online. Reasonable price with no contract. Lovely clean changing rooms. Plenty of equipment and classes to choose from. Easy entry and exit process. Would definitely recommend.

The gym has good equipment and it’s nicely laid out and has plenty of cardio machines but they have far too many members. It is always busy, no matter what time of day and its sometimes a battle to get on anything, as soon as you are lucky enough to get on something, people are hassling you by asking when you will be finished so they can use it. I understand gyms can be busy at certain times of the day and year but this one is never quiet, maybe at 2am it is but who wants to workout then. I work shifts so come at different times during the week and weekends and it is always the same. JD gyms are obviously trying to make as much money as they can by taking on as many members as they can without thinking of how this impacts your workout experience.
The gym etiquette is terrible, no one tidies up after themselves, the weights are never where they should be and no re re-racks any of the weights, so when you do get to get on a piece of equipment you have to empty it of all the weights and then try and find the weight you need on all the other pieces of equipment that haven’t been removed which people are often on.
I never see any member of staff tidying anything away or implementing any gym etiquette whatsoever.
I’ve been a gym goer for well over 20 years and I’d say this is the worst gym I’ve been to in terms of everything I have mentioned above, especially the gym etiquette.
If the staff were more visible and actively tidying the weights away and advising other people to do so, it would be a much better place to work out. I won’t be renewing my membership.

I like the machines but what I’ve noticed they don’t get cleaned very often the people use them and walk off I think someone should be checking and should have more cleaning stations for so people don’t have to walk half way down the gym to get cleaning clothes then I think people would clean them more

Too many people in the gym at any one time, was absolutely packed at 10pm one of the nights. No one seems to have any courtesy and doesn’t put their weights back so they’re all over the floor. Car parking doesn’t have near enough spaces. & very hot inside, not sure the air con works.

My jd app which has rhe qr code to let me into the gym does not work, i have to keep pressing the green button but as i go after work it takes a while for someone to come get me, as I go during the night, i also have multiple parking tickets as i was not informed that the parking area has a time limit.

Very clean gym with plenty of equipment to choose from! I also feel very safe been in the gym late at night, however I feel as if the gym can offer a lot more, having being a member of pretty much all the gyms around Wolverhampton and had a premium membership with them all I think JD gyms could offer more with their premium membership, other gyms you will find body composition machines, weighing scales, premium sports drinks, bring a friend to the gym passes, and also with other gyms you can check on the app how busy the gym is and also track your workouts through the app, JD doesn’t offer any of this and their premium membership is the same price as the other gyms I’ve mentioned. So mixed reviews from me overall

Very well equipped
There’s ladies small gym, classes set out all day long, you can join just book your self’s on.
Clean and staff are very helpful and friendly.

It is a place equipped with very good machines, quite spacious and really when it is full you can do your exercises without any problem, there is room for everyone.

Its a fairly big gym so it's never cramped but can get very busy at times machines are great and work well but I think the place can do with a new look update it a bit
