God. Avoid these people.
We live in London and have had Jellis Craig as our property managers on our rental property for 8-9 years now. They have been amazing.
We have decided to sell and sought to commence this through Jellis Craig Brunswick and we're assigned one fo their directors.
WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE.
Elizabeth Kelly from the Brunswick office didn't call and when chased she blatantly lied that she had called (no record on either of our phones or a missed call). When pulled up on that and her cookie cutter approach we received an incredibly rude email from her.
When we tried to complain, apparently as a director at a local branch she doesn't have a manager so that isn't possible.
I'd avoid at all costs. Apparently flashy with no substance.
Oh... She had the audacity to tell us she was number one in the market.... I'm not sure how given her inability to provide any customer service.
Avoid like the plague
Avoid like the plague! Anything for a quick buck and easy sale, at anyone’s elses expense. They inflated the property value and what they could sell for to get me onboard, promised they were going work hard on getting a great price, then underquoted it in the marketing materials… advised it was a “tatic”. I requested multiple times the auction be pushed out as it only had been on the market 3 weeks (campaign quote base on 4), pushed me into having it and the relentless pressure put on me the day of auction, after they had lost my tenants, with a 60 day settlement and claiming I would “get early access to the deposit” (which I could not), well under my reserve, and resulting in much worse hardship. I won’t even go into how they handled the transfer of my rental to them. BIGGEST MISTAKE. This is after charging $8500 for a 4 week campaign (market is around $2500) and an exorbitant commission fee. Took full advantage of a single mum, in financial hardship, heavily reliant on the rental income and this property being sold at its reserve. Pretty low hey. They brand themselves as a genuine, transparent, and ethical business culture.
If anyone has experienced similar with these guys, please reach out. Particularly with Team Francis and Greg Cusack.

Disgusting experience from start to still not even finished. I am in a legal battle with them now because of how useless and disgusting they are. Avoid at all costs. I warned you.

My parents property was Auctioned on…
My parents property was Auctioned on Saturday and the end result was pathetic. Liam Carrington listed the property and was dealing with my former sister who was the executor of the Estate. The bidding was between two bidders and then out of the blue they take a bid from an alleged mentally unstable women whom they said was allegedly on drugs. She increased the bidding by $145,000 knocking out the two genuine bidders. When they spoke with her and asked her to come in to sign the Contract she did not have the 10% deposit and said she would pay it on Monday, however Liam and the other Jellis Craig agents said that she wanted someone at the Auction to lend her the deposit monies and that's when the penny dropped with Liam Carrington and the other Jellis Craig Agents. They went back to the last genuine bid and sold the property to them on a 120 day settlement when the property is vacant. I have requested an earlier settlement however Liam Carrington advised that the purchasers could not settle earlier. As we are paying their fees that should have advised my former sister better and not read out at the start of the Auction a 30/60/90/120 day settlement. Instead they should have said that settlement will be in 30- 60 days and negotiated after the Auction. I believe that they have cost me thousands of dollars by accepting that bid and should have started the Auction again. I only found out yesterday from my Lawyer that the property sold for $145000 less as it was advertised in the Auction Results. Liam Carrington has acted unprofessional towards me and should have advised me after the Auction on Saturday what had occurred. I would never recommend Liam Carrington or Jellis Craig Brunswick to anyone. There are much better Real Estate Agents in Brunswick. My former sister selected them which just shows what a poor decision that was.

Unpleasant and poor communication
Very poor communication throughout our experience with the agency. We placed an offer on a house that was for sale, initially the agent was fine to borderline pushy trying to get an unconditional offer.
Once offer finialised and signed we received an automated email saying "congratulations on your purchase" no phone call to advise the acceptance of the offer. Later that day recieved a "when's the building inspection scheduled" email (no congratulations or the vendor has accepted your offer)
The building and pest inspection revealed a number of structural issues and asbestos. Our conveyencer contacted the agency to advise the report was in breach of the contract conditions, we did not hear anything from the agent. Later that day I initiated contact to request a refund of the deposit, to be cc'ed into the agents internal emails to arrange this. Believing once we recieved the funds this was the end of our unpleasant experience.
A week after this we received another email congratulating us on our "purchase" and requesting our legal representative details from someone else in the agency. We had to go back to them to advise this was not the case, another unpleasant and unnecessarily stressful experience.

Liam Carrington - professional and excellent
Liam Carrington was great to work with. He made the selling process easy, explaining everything in detail and keeping me regularly informed. The stylist Liam works with made a big difference to the presentation before listing the property. Liam was approachable, open, honest, fair and I found it easy to communicate with him. He understood the market and the potential buyers for the property and overall I am very happy with the service he provided. I highly recommend Liam.

Agent enforces stereotype of real estate agents!
Ad campaign was rushed and had important information left out like stating 'four bedrooms' when there are five and so forth. Main photo showed graffiti and 'for lease' sign from the next door property when we were trying to sell the shop and house. Description placed on 'development ready' was about the house rather than what the development permits and plans showed. Every minor detail had to be counter checked and redone by us. Real estate agent lived up to their 'stereotypical' character of over promising and under delivering. No details were provided of how the campaign was to attract potential clients. We were not provided with a hardcopy to read over carefully before signing. Campaign was so poorly done it appeared they were trying to discourage people from coming to look at the property rather than attracting people with different interests. The main attraction of the property was its location and this was not highlighted in the campaign until we brought it up. We ended up editing and proofing everything and yet when it came to receiving their payment, they were extremely prompt and precise! They have forever given Jellis Craig and also the photographers 'SpaceCraft' a bad rap!
