Came today to see Aamir Safdar-Khan and I honestly cannot recommend him enough. Such a pleasant kind sympathetic man, he listened to everything I said, offered several treatments for my knee pain and finally scanned it and aspirated some fluid off the knee and injected it with steroids. I didn’t feel rushed at all and he ensured I felt ok before I left. During the procedure he chatted and made me feel at ease

Marathon training injury
I am training for a marathon and started experiencing pain to my calf and around my knee area . I was seen by Aamir,he did a thorough examination using an ultrasound and diagnosed me with tenderness on the IT band and the hamstrings tendons. He explained fully what my options were and we decided on the herbal injection. He carried out the procedure and made a treatment plan for me and we are hoping I can restart my training very soon.

Joint pain analysis and teatment
Having been an enthuiastic and busy outdoor walker and rambler, I have had to curtail these activities due to knee and ankle pain.
I booked into the Joint Pain Clinic and was seen by Mr Safdar-Khan. He did an ultrasound scan of both joints and was able to identify problems in both knee and ankle. I had treatment on my knee at that first appointment which helped alleviate my knee pain and give me back a better degree of mobility. I have follow up appointments to investigate both joints further.
Mr Safar-Khan discussed a follow up plan with me and his colleages to carry out a bio mechanical assessment and to develop a pro-active plan to deal with my troublesome joints.
I am so pleased to have found this clinic and recieve prompt, professional, medical analysis, treatment, reassurance and follow-up appointments to suit me.

I’ve been to the Joint Pain Clinic twice in nearly 3 years for the same issue. Mr Khan is very professional and respectful. He gave me different options for my treatment. I recently visited the Joint Pain Clinic in Harborne for treatment with Mr Samir Khan and once again received outstanding care. He previously treated tendinitis in my left arm, and this time performed a steroid injection on my right.
Mr Khan is a fantastic consultant – professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. While of course this is his profession, it’s clear that he truly remembers his patients and takes a real interest in their progress. He always takes the time to explain the science and reasoning behind his recommendations in a way that’s easy to understand, which really builds confidence and trust.

I can honestly recommend The Joint Pain Clinic, Mr. Aamir Safdar-Khan in particular, to anyone that's suffering pain.
I was given an ultrasound and the results were explained to me along with a treatment plan. I had two guided cortisone injections in my shoulder and after a couple of days the pain was subsiding. A week later, apart from the odd twinge, I'm now pain free. All the staff make you feel welcome and the rooms are spotlessly clean. I will definitely return if the need arises

Wrist cortisone injection
I had a great experience with Dr Aamir Safdar-Khan. I’ve been for a wrist ultrasound check because I had big pains on my right and left wrist. He said that I need a cortisone injection and of course we did it . I already feel better after my first injection on my right hand three days ago and today I had the second injection for left hand and I am grateful for that. Thank you Dr Aamir. I really recommend Dr. Aamir!

Pain Relief for Arthritic Knee
My mother has attended the joint clinic for her knee and received injections to alleviate the pain. We have been really pleased with the results. Mr Safdar-Khan is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in his field of work and is very thorough establishing the problems at hand and explaining the viable solutions. Mom has shown a significant improvement in her knee mobility and I would thoroughly recommend the clinic.

After examination and ultrasound scan Aamir discussed his findings and recommended a cortisone injection and exercises to follow up. The injection was virtually painless and by the following morning I felt that I was walking without pain. The exercises further enhanced the road to recovery.

So impressed with the service provided here after I’d been struggling with wrist pain for months. Mr Safdar-Khan performed an ultrasound scan, quickly identifying and clearly explaining what the problem was, and then injected it under ultrasound guidance.
