Very well planned and delivered in a highly supportive way.

I am very pleased with the Junior Lawyers club's team . It is evident that a lot of time is spent carefully preparing each session and that the whole team is meticulously trained. This is a very professionally led session where no time is wasted faffing . I had been looking for a class that would teach my son to be articulated and to the point , I tried Lamda , but the standard did not meet my expectation . The format is brilliant, the team is brilliant, the content is brilliant . Thank you Lawyers club !

My daughter looks forward to her JLC sessions and gives us a full briefing on the session afterwards. It has definitely improved her ability to develop a coherent, persuasive argument (sometimes to our detriment!) and reduced her use of the word 'like' (a great relief). I am impressed with the end of term summaries - more detailed information about my daughter's performance than her school report.

My daughter joined last year just after turning nine, and she absolutely loves the sessions. She finds the classes engaging, interactive, and genuinely fun. It’s wonderful to see how much she looks forward to them each week.

Even my son, who has occasionally been in the room and overheard the lessons, has already said he wants to join as soon as he turns nine too!

I really believe this class is helping her build confidence, especially as she prepares for her 11+ interviews next year. We’ve seen a positive difference in how she expresses herself, and we’re very pleased with the experience so far.

We have been busy but she’s excited to sit for the bronze award soon.

This week's workshop, 'Snowhere to Go', brought the term to a close with a murder mystery.

Stranded at a remote ski resort during a devastating snowstorm, with no phone signal and no way out, students had to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow guest. Working as detectives, they questioned four suspects, gathered physical evidence from the crime scene, and pieced together what had happened, and who was responsible.

The session developed the following skills:

• Attention to detail - listening carefully to questioning and picking out the details that matter.
• Analytical reasoning - connecting evidence, identifying inconsistencies, and building a coherent theory.
• Avoiding confirmation bias - resisting the urge to only look for evidence that supports an early theory, and staying open to where the evidence actually leads.

For those who would like to continue the conversation at home, some discussion prompts could include:

• Is it possible to investigate something fairly if you already have a strong suspicion about the answer?
• If you are 98% sure someone is guilty, is that enough?
• Should someone who commits a crime in a moment of rage be treated differently in law to someone who planned it carefully in advance?

My daughter has been attending Junior Lawyers since she was 8 or 9 years old. Not only does she love it and look forward to every session - but it has been an incredible influence on her life. She has gained confidence and has such an interest in the wider world. We really think its had more impact on her being the incredibly articulate, curious, thoughtful and fair person she is today than any other activity - extracurricular or otherwise.

My daughter has been doing JLC for a few years now and it's completely worth the investment. It has grown her confidence, her curiosity and her ability to question and debate. Important life skills! Highly recommend.

The structure of the lessons and the feedback so that the kids can improve their logical reasoning and articulate/argue their points has been such a pleasure to observe. Our daughter loves her hour with JLC and has great fun while learning these skills

My children have been part of the junior lawyers' club since 2021 and I think that says it all! They absolutely love the sessions. Public speaking can be daunting and Susanne and her brilliant team make the children safe and confident. The sessions are expertly designed so they are engaging and interactive for the children. My children have progressed massively and are able to confidently articulate their thoughts and arguments. It is the favourite part of my son’s week.

I can't recommend the Junior Lawyers Club highly enough, our 16 year old loves it! The wide range of transferrable skills she's learning is wonderful, from advocacy, public speaking and debating to interview technique, resilience, and critical thinking. It can be stressful to have to think quickly on your feet but the on-the-spot feedback gives each child kind and constructive criticism to improve their techniques which I can hear them using straight away - so valuable. And the end of term report with what they've learned and how they can continue to progress is more than I expected. One of the best extra curricular activities we've invested in.

Our 15-year-old son absolutely loves this club. He does a million and one different activities, yet this has very quickly become his favourite. He’s just completed his first term and comes away from every workshop genuinely buzzing with energy and enthusiasm.
The weekly sessions explore a wide range of topics grounded in real-life situations, and through lively group discussion the young people are given an incredible opportunity to develop advocacy, public speaking, debating, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The format encourages them to engage deeply, listen carefully to different viewpoints, and build well-reasoned arguments in a supportive and stimulating environment.
The tutors are exceptionally knowledgeable and dedicated, and they do a fantastic job of guiding the students as they learn how to structure arguments, think on their feet, and grow in confidence when speaking and debating. They support the young people in taking on different roles through the group discussion, expressing their thoughts clearly and succinctly, and critically analysing issues under time pressure.
We also really appreciate the weekend summary, which gives us as a family the chance to pick up on the themes covered during the week and sparks some excellent dinner-table discussions at home.
A huge thank you to Susanne and the entire JLC team for the fantastic work they are doing in nurturing and developing the young people they work with, and for equipping them with such strong, transferable skills for the future.

My daughter, who is 10.5 y.o., has been attending JLC sessions for more than a year by now. She absolutely enjoys every week, passed the Bronze level, and does not want to stop even under the pressures of 11+ process. This is such a great quality program, with real barristers looking after children working on a problem, helping them to build and fully develop their argument. The club teaches kids to take on different roles, express thoughts in a succinct manner and critically think under time pressure. I recommend this program to anyone, such a rare find these days!

I have been attending the Junior Lawyers Club since 2022, and I can wholeheartedly say it has played a significant role in developing my skills as an aspiring lawyer.

From structured debates on current affairs to imaginative challenges like strategising an escape from a desert island, each weekly session is thought-provoking and designed to stretch both your problem-solving abilities and your capacity to present a clear, persuasive argument.

Furthermore, the JLC tutors are consistently friendly and welcoming. They provide excellent, constructive feedback and always bring a positive energy.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Junior Lawyers Club to any young person looking to build their confidence, improve their articulacy, and sharpen their problem-solving skills.

I was looking for a debating club for my daughter after the previous one she attended for 2 years, was discontinued, and I’m so glad to have found The Junior Lawyers Club. We started this term and it has been everything I hoped for and more. My 12.5-year-old daughter is considering law as one of her future career options, and JLC is the perfect place to start nurturing that interest.

The club is so much more than just debating – it’s a space where young people are encouraged to think critically, speak confidently, and work together as a team on real-world issues. The sessions are engaging, thoughtful, and fun, with just the right balance of structure and creativity.

I have noticed that my daughter has become more thoughtful in how she builds her arguments (at home!) and expresses her opinions. The Junior Lawyers Club provides a warm, supportive environment that brings out the best in each child.
As a parent, I also really value the weekly summaries, as they give a great snapshot of what the kids covered and offer helpful prompts to continue those conversations at home. I would highly recommend JLC to any parent looking to help their child become a confident, articulate, and empathetic communicator.

Honestly speaking, I can't found any other clubs of units better than and shinier than JLC, which really whole-heartedly devote their manpower and time to prepare a myriad of worships for teenagers who are eager to boost themselves. The topics they devise are high-engaging, authentic and high-ordering in which our kids can totally excel a lot. What impresses me most is their after-lesson follow-up. I can receive very detailed summary and review on what my girl learns each week. Besides, the founder, Susanne, an efficient and responsible leader, sends me persinalised report on my girl's performance from time to time. JLC is really praise-worthy!

My son has just started the Junior Lawyer Club sessions a few months back and he is really enjoying it, he’s told me that the topics are really interesting and fascinating. You can tell that the tutors are true professionals and take great pride and effort in planning out each and every session carefully to allow the participants the opportunity to debate about a multitude of topics, gets them thinking and put their ideas and views across in an effective manner and a very encouraging way. I am really happy with the service and can highly recommend the Junior Lawyer Club to any parents looking to help build their child’s confidence as well as increasing their general knowledge regarding current affairs, legal issues and issues around policy making as well as topics which affects us in society etc. it is such a great club for young aspiring lawyers and young people in general, helping them to become more confident in putting their points of view across in a more eloquent and persuasive manner as well as being considerate to others and their perspectives. The detailed feedback that parents get at the end of the term is also greatly appreciated, thank you so much for such a wonderful and inspiring club! I would not hesitate in recommending to my friends and family.

The sessions are incredibly well constructed, taking real life themes (such as the General Election, space colonisation, setting up a business) and exploring the pros and cons involved. The children often work in small groups where they have to share ideas and negotiate which points to make. They present arguments both for and against motions, thereby learning to debate without becoming lost in emotions (with which my son had struggled). Through attending my son has become far more able to articulate his thoughts clearly and concisely. He has grown in confidence in expressing himself and is able to hold his own whilst arguing with his Dad lol. We're about to start our third term with them! I thoroughly recommend The Junior Lawyer's Club and am delighted that I discovered them.

Our daughter gets so much out of the JLC sessions. It is so wonderful to see her critical thinking and debating skills develop in such a supportive environment. The feedback within the sessions is very well managed and after ‘filler’ words were pointed out in the first session she has barely used ‘like’ ever since. (Money well spent in itself!)

She attends a lot of clubs and this is by far and away her favourite. It will put her in very good stead as she moves through school and beyond. So glad we found the JLC.

Our daughter has learnt so much each week in terms of various skills aged 9 and 10 that we are keen to get our younger children signed up in a couple of years. From confidence building, analysing and critical thinking to presenting thoughts in a practical and clear manner, the course offers it all.
A great activity to keep your child engaged on the weekend. Excellent opportunity to nurture and develop their critical thinking skills now and beyond.
