K9 trainers have such great knowledge of dogs and their behaviours and tailored to your dogs needs and requirements.

To gain a better understanding of how to train and why it works has been really beneficial.

We needed to train a young white swiss shepherd to behave well during walks and recall ( basic and residential training).
Rob is amazing trainer and results are amazing as well.

A home visit to help with visiting Grandchildren.
Rob has helped us with Rocco in outside situations, but one of our big issues was him reacting to visitors, so we asked Rob for a home training session.
The tips he had given us before were used in conjunction with 2 adults and 2 children 7&9 plus Rob coming into our home.
Because Rocco sounded and could get snappy in such situations the children were wary about coming in. We muzzle him and he had his collar on. Rob observed us controlling him and recommended some changes to help de escalate any potential situation. At the end of the session both parents and children were a lot happier and Rocco understood the boundaries.
E collars can be controversial but without it we would nit have seen the improvements we have. It means we have a much better behaved rescue dog and that was what we wanted to achieve for all of us.
We hope to join the pack walks in the future. But thanks Rob we could not have hit where we are without your help.

Came here quite desperate had been to various dog trainers and spent thousands over the years but nothing had worked. Even after the first session the difference was noticeable and just continued getting better every week. We went from having a dog who couldn't behave around dogs, people, distractions that constantly pulled to a heel walking angel in 9 weeks. Honestly couldn't recommend Rob enough straight talking, knowledgeable and knows exactly what to do. My dog is now off lead 100% of the time and I have 100% trust in him which I can't quite believe I'm saying myself. I have no doubt they will be able to help anyone if you are struggling please reach out its completely changed our lives worth every single penny and then some.

The chap was great and walked both the mutt and myself through the dogs habits and the ways in which he has trained us as owners.
He gave some very useful advice that we are currently putting into practice.

We simply cannot recommend K9 Control enough! In just 9 sessions, and a handful of pack walks, Peggy has made an incredible transformation. It is no exaggeration to say that Rob has changed all 3 of our lives.

Before K9 Control, Peggy was an anxious, aggressive, unpredictable dog. She lived in a very small world, spending minimal time outside as she was reactive to dogs, cars, all kinds of environmental noises, and generally just of unsure how to be. As a result, we only walked her twice a week, with walks limited to private fields - it was stressful and overwhelming for all of us, and any encounter with another dog was explosive. She would be so heightened and frantic in our garden, that even toileting was a real struggle. Peggy would shake, drool and cower at the sound of very distant gunshots/crow scarers, and on one occasion jumped on the roof of the car in attempt to escape them, and wouldn't come down. Peggy had to wear a 'blindfold' and have music on constantly in order to tolerate any car journeys. If she saw a dog within 50 feet of the car she would become absolutely frantic, rocking the car, thrashing around into the windows, and constantly barking.

Now, we enjoy walking Peggy twice a day, she enjoys the outside world, and she's so much more relaxed for knowing the rules. She walks off lead with other dogs. She enjoys the car, and is non-reactive to everything she can see and hear during journeys. Last weekend, we took Peggy to a clayshoot, and she calmly sat and listened to gun shots at close range for over an hour. In short, her transformation under the guidance of Rob at K9 Control has been notning short of staggering.

Throughout the process, Rob has been amazing. He is consistent, super clear in his instructions, and always calm. Rob took Peggy on when other trainers and behaviourists wouldn't, and had the resources and knowledge to help us. We believed in the process and where we are now is night and day from where we started. We will forever be grateful to Rob and the gang.

Went on the pack walk. These pack walks are invaluable in getting the dog used to walking in the company of other dogs, as we usually walk in the woods and fields and meet few other dogs.

After the first visit I feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel. We have a plan and I feel very confident with the advice and recommendations given.

Our younger Flat Coat Retriever / Labrador cross had significant recall issues which led to a sheep worrying issue while being looked after by a house / dog sitter. Within 4 weeks with coaching by Rob he was a different dog and able to walk through a field of sheep without leaving our side.

Really impressed and reassured with Rob at K9 Control for creating the time and space to assess my dog’s reactivity and listen and ask the right questions as to how I work with my handling and understanding of Twig’s reactivity prompts. His guidance on technique tailored to dog and owner. Following up with access to help. Have confidence that things are changing for the better. We have had only 4 sessions with Rob and the changes are amazing. He has such a great approach to us and the dogs and breaks everything down. I am so grateful for all his help and guidance we can’t wait to keep seeing the progress each week.

We needed some help to proof our dogs recall. He was pretty much 95% there but we want perfection. Rob was on hand with his own dog as a perfect distraction and we used a long line to make sure our boy came back. We’ve got some homework and we are practicing all the time. Our boy should have bomb proof recall very soon

Before working with Rob, we’d spent months with two other trainers and saw very little progress. Then we met Rob, and within five minutes of our first session, we saw real change. Our dog went from constantly pulling on the lead and reacting to other dogs or people, to calmly walking at heel all times during that initial assessment.

After just seven weeks of working with Rob, we don’t even need a lead anymore. It’s hard to overstate how much of a transformation we’ve seen.

We had only initially intended on seeing him for the lead pulling and dog reactivity but we now have no issues whatsoever with anything you could think of, we now say we have the best trained dog we know!(other than robs of course😅)

Another great thing about working with Rob is he actually uses his own dogs as required for training things like reactivity, socialising etc which is so beneficial! Rather than relying on finding unpredictable dogs at parks like we did with our previous dog trainers, we felt so much more confident as we knew he had full control of his dogs at all times.

The sessions might seem a bit pricey at first, but it ends up being worth every penny when you see how quickly and completely your dog improves.

Rob also has a deep understanding of dog nutrition, and the facility stocks high-quality food and treats, which makes things super convenient.

He and his team have made the whole experience of having a dog so much more rewarding. We really can’t thank them enough.
