Poor Quality jewellery which breaks

I bought two bracelets from Kajoon. Both broke very quickly. I contacted them to replace the one with the African Jade beads, which they did, but sent a larger size which was a bit too big for my small wrist. Clearly they thought the elastic snapped because it was over stretched which was not the case. The elastic went on the replacement about 3 months later. Shortly afterwards the other bracelet snapped. I bought them to wear regularly but not daily as I wear a uniform for work. I didn’t bath swim or shower in them but they still snapped. Nice to look at but poor quality materials. I kept the beads hoping to be able to restring them but the reality is that I won’t get round to it. Very disappointed . This is not cheap jewellery and I’d have expected better quality for the price. I cannot recommend.

I want to exchange the item the only contact is via email that has been returned as their in box is full so no reply!!! They have no phone number to call so I can’t get a response!

Beware of Hidden Charges and Abusive Customer Service

Before I start my review I would like to make it clear that I do not appreciate Kajoon Customer Service calling their customers ignorant.
My parcel stopped moving once it had left the UK. Both the RM and LaPoste app provided no more information. I had to chase this up several times until eventually I was told that I needed to pay customs duties. Nowhere on the Kajoon website does it state that the buyer is responsible for any additional costs, especially as they charged me 11.95€ shipping costs.
If you want anything shipping abroad ‘Do Not Otder from KAJOON’
And definitely not worth the money

Thank you for responding however if you take a look at the email trail you will see that I had to chase you on three or four occasions as you were not helpful in your response. Both my Royal Mail tracking and LaPoste tracking, using the app never stated there were customs charges due. Your initial response was to contact La Poste. This is not the recipients responsibility. It was only today that you provided details that customs duties were payable. Which I paid to receive the very poor quality bracelet that you provided. I paid the high shipping charges as I assumed it would cover customs duties, as many other websites do in their shipping charges.
I guarantee that I will not be purchasing anything else from your site and I hope this reveiew provides potential international customers guidance before they make a purchase from your site

We are in great disbelief with the amount of false information you have provided

Your order was shipped promptly and we sent you a shipping confirmation email containing all the tracking details. You actually replied to that email, which means that you have seen it indeed.

We have sent you several more emails to assist you with this matter. As we have previously advised, the Royal Mail International Tracked Shipping we charge is lower than the cost of the actual service. We actually share part of the shipping cost and this is something that you can easily look up yourself if you have trust issues.

Please mind that no one forced you to place an order by any means and if you were not happy the shipping cost, you could simply not have placed an order with us.

There is no point on our website stating that we cover custom duty fees. We have no idea where your expectation to cover that cost is coming from. This is standard procedure, no company pays custom duties, that's always the customer's responsibility.

We will obviously escalate this case with Trustpilot and try to report this review as well as your profile if this is not amended within the next 24 hours

We sent you the shipping confirmation email with all the tracking details as soon as your order was dispatched. On the tracking page you can find all the information needed including the payment for custom duties. However, we do understand that not everyone is fluent with internet use and from your emails it was clear that you were not able to follow the links for the custom duties payment. Therefore, we suggested that you contacted La Poste as they might have been able to provide alternative payment methods for you.

The custom duties are the customer's responsibility indeed

The statement that many other websites include custom duties in their shipping charges is rather vague. Not having to pay custom duties and custom duties included in the shipping costs are two totally different things.

We understand that you are extremely upset with the custom duty fees, however, we are not responsible for the laws and regulations that govern international trade

We do not understand what you mean by "high shipping charges" and we have previously advised you multiple times that we charge less than what the service costs. The Royal Mail International Tracked Shipping costs £10.40 and we only charge £9.95. We do not charge anything for handling. If you were not happy with the shipping cost you shouldn't have proceeded with placing the order or you should have contacted us to question that before placing an order.

Kajoon Bracelet -

Unfortunately the bracelet broke after the third time I wore it.
I have since received a replacement and an apology from Kajoon. They have done all they can to put the matter right.

We are sorry that the bracelet snapped. As mentioned under the product specifications, we use a high-resistance elastic band which is one of the best quality we can find to minimise the chance of it failing. However, no elastic band is unbreakable and it is inevitable that some of them will fail.

We have already apologised for that, we have confirmed that we will send you a free replacement which has already been shipped and it is expected to be delivered on Monday.

We don't know how we could have served you better in this case. Since you rated our service with the lowest rating possible, we would appreciate it if you could provide some feedback on what you think we could have done better. Otherwise, we would appreciate it if you could amend your rating.
