I was excited to try Ketoned Bodies…

I was excited to try Ketoned Bodies because they advertise high-quality keto meals with 100% grass-fed, pastured meats and organic produce, plus the bonus of free nationwide shipping. Unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to the hype. While the food was decent, the delivery process was a nightmare. My order was delayed multiple times, and the customer service was slow to respond.

Best bet, Frontier Invest Corp stepped in and ensured I eventually received my meals without further hassle with their withdrawal process. Their support played a major role in smoothing out the process, and without their involvement, I might still be waiting! While I appreciate the quality ingredients Ketoned Bodies claims to use, the disorganized delivery system left me underwhelmed.

If they can fix their logistics and communication, I'd consider giving them another shot. But for now, two stars.

Very Disappointed

I was so happy to find a meal delivery that was just for Keto. Boy have I been disappointed. I read through a few of these comments and have to admit I am a little lucky. I did get my 1st order. I did also receive my 2nd, but there wasn't a speck of ice. It was still cool, but not frozen.
I had received a 'delivery exception' email. Whatever that means... I finally got a response from them and they were going to replace the order with something extra. Like a previous reviewer, it was supposed to be delivered Sept 21. Never showed.
Tried to reply to the last email and it bounced. Looked at the website and they say they have moved across the country. Have a feeling they may have folded.
Best bet is 518 Kitchen. Really good and fast.

I placed my first order in August 2021…

I placed my first order in August 2021 it is now October 2021 and I have not received my first order and the company has been taking money from my account and not delivering/shipping my order. I have sent Debye mails asking them to cancel my subscription and refund my money. I had to alert my bank of the fraudulent transaction because the company has not responded to my emails regarding refunding my money.

Don’t waste your time or money

I’m giving a one star because zero is not an option. I paid for a 21 meal plan, which was $313.95. I placed my order on September 4, 2021. Each week I reached out to find out where my order was. Each week I was ignored, until last week. They absolutely guaranteed my items would be delivered by September 21, 2021 and they were going to give me three free meals for an inconvenience. Today is 24 September, I still don’t have my items nor do I have a credit. They are back to ignoring me again. I just reached out to USAA and to dispute the entire charge.

Scam. Don't use.

They'll charge you just fine. Actually getting a product you paid for won't happen. Like everyone else, customers service is a shame either through email or telephone.

Worst company ever they are very quick…

Worst company ever they are very quick to charge your card but super slow in getting back to answering your questions. It’s been two weeks since I made my first order and I am still waiting for the delivery! Every time I check it says that it has not shipped. But they already confirmed my next order for this upcoming week. I have tried to communicate with them several times via email and regards to canceling my subscription but have not heard from them yet. I can’t find any phone number on their website so that I can call them personally. If I could give them zero stars I would!

It took a month for my meals to come

It took a month for my meals to come. Granted, after 2 weeks and I hadn’t had a shipment confirmation, I had to email and ask them not to send bc were headed out of town. No response at all. Luckily the meals didn’t come while we were gone. When I finally heard from them they said they’d gotten the email and that’s why they didn’t send it. Great! Could’ve saved me some worry while I was away that they didn’t get the message and these meals would get sent and be rotting on my doorstep when I got back. But Ok. Some kind of confirmation and then reschedule confirmation would’ve been super helpful. Then I emailed and tried to call multiple times to confirm when my meals would be rescheduled. It took them several days to get back to me. They told me there was an issue where they had to shut down bc a covid issue. Ok. I get it, tough times. But again, after that spotty communication. Like, OK, I understand there’s a delay but when will I actually get my meals. Several days. No answer. I’m not always home so knowing when these time sensitive packages will arrive is super important. I ordered a month’s worth and they’re not crazy cheap so I was pretty antsy to get my box.

When the box finally arrived, the box was crushed and the tape had partially unsealed on one flap. All the dry ice was gone. I felt ok about it bc I knew they had sent them out friday. They said they were sorry for the inconvenience and would throw in some extra meals. They did, but not super amazing bc i had to squish it all into my freezer and fridge. I only live an hour drive away from their HQ. Overall, a less than professional operation. It has potential but they really need to get their comms more dialed in.

I’ve only tried one of the meals so far and not crazy impressed, but we’ll see. Fingers crossed this was all worth it.

Better off cooking yourself.

It took a long time to get our meals, and for the price you pay the quality of meats and ingredients should be better. The meals are VERY salty, they also sent some wrong recipes. I would not recommend.

HORRIBLE customer service!!

WORST customer service! Here’s their response to my complaints about not receiving my delivery and receiving terrible customer service. Apparently when you do not receive your order you do not deserve a refund! Ha. This company is a joke. All their customer service responses came via an iPhone with no names given. See their response:

“You got a refund even when you were not entitled to own from us and yet you are still griping. And the problem is with us? Please tell us more.”

Inadequate dry ice, bad customer service

I’ve ordered once from Ketoned Bodies. Meals arrived two days after shipment with no dry ice. I opened one meal and it was no longer refrigerator cold. I threw that one away but I didn’t really know what to do with the rest of them except not to eat them. I put them in my refrigerator and waited to hear from customer service if they wanted me to return them or what. I contacted customer service. Their first response sounded as if I would be able to get a refund or replacement. I chose refund since there was no reason to think the dry ice would last longer on a replacement shipment.

Customer service asked me to take a picture of the meals for insurance purposes. I told them I had thrown one of them away but I gave them a picture of the rest of them. When they learned that I still had the meals although I considered them unusable, I got a snide response, no refund, and no further communications. Maybe I will get a refund. If so, I will visit this site again and update people about their customer service, which I currently rate as zero stars. I also rate their food as zero stars since it was inedible. 100% of it is now in the garbage. $159 in the garbage.
UPDATE: The day after I wrote this review, I received an email from customer service stating I would be getting a refund. The refund hit my bank account that night. I am revising my rating to two stars.

Product Not Labeled.

My son got me started, food was great. I placed my order, but 2 units were not labeled. Companies solution was for me to look at the un labeled product to see if that was what I was missing. Geeze! How am I suppose to know what it is?

Nope! Don’t order from a company that doesn’t take ownership of their mistakes.

Came well packaged

Came well packaged. I read that other people had issues but the cartons came wrapped in a cardboard label, so nothing came open. I also read that some people didn't have cooking directions, but in my delivery the cooking directions were nicely printed on the label that surrounded the carton.

I was disappointed that there was no dry ice still left in the box, but I am ordering from Indiana so the package comes a long way. I really think they should include more dry ice in the shipments.

Beyond this issue, the food tasted great. The meat is a little bit tough but I understand because it has been frozen and reheated. Shipping is fast although a little delayed from the date they give you. It's no big deal for me because I order every week and I always have a meal or two left over.

I had one meal where a little piece of dirt had got on a piece of broccoli, kinda yuck but maybe the broccoli wasn't cleaned super well. It happens, and this was just on one meal, does not seem to be a regular thing.

Portion sizes are great, I am full after I eat.

Wish there was more to the app, like members, and areas to follow friends and people ordering from this site, a macro tracker and weight tracker would be nice too.

Overall, very happy with this company.

Game changer

Game changer! Arrived on time in a nice compostable package! So tasty! This is the company I’m sticking with for my keto meals. They also use regenerative agriculture which is the cherry on top.

Great meals!

Customer service was great and the meals were awesome. I also appreciated the instructions so that the meals were heated properly on my end. Having these prepped meals definitely made my life so much easier!

Ketoned Bodies is a company that is on top of their game in the meal prep business. It starts with their customer service and ends with some of the best meals I have had, while enjoying them guilt free. I’m so glad I have found a meal prep company that truly cares about me!
