Keeping Kidzania germ free

Hello
My kids love kidzania
We always have a good time
But this time, all three kids of mine fell sick with a bad cold and cough immediately after the visit
I am a doctor , I can’t see any other reason than our recent visit
Hope you will ensure good sterilization methods to ensure the place is germ free as hundreds of children visit and we don’t want parents saying , we are not going back there again !
Right ?!
So thanks again

Part 2: Unsatisfied and Disappointed: A Missed Opportunity at Kidzania

Part 2:
The site would not allow me to put my full review so here is the rest.

Finally, the moment our children had eagerly anticipated—the chance to spend their hard-earned Kidzania currency at the shop—proved to be yet another disappointment. We mistakenly entered the gift store, only to be redirected to another shop, with no clear signage to guide us. To our dismay, the available items were sparse, overpriced, and required more than our children's earnings of 96 in Kidzania currency/each. Bubble wands, plastic shovels, and sticky wall cling toys hardly seemed worth the exorbitant prices. It felt as though all their efforts to earn money had been in vain. With every child starting with a mere 50 in Kidzania currency, there should have been a variety of items accessible at that price point. Adding insult to injury, the staff member at the shop informed us that their computers were malfunctioning, rendering them unable to process Kidzania bank cards. Our children were left disappointed and disheartened, their aspirations shattered. It was suggested that we could save the Kidzania currency for another visit. We explained we had made a special trip just to come for Kidzania for the day and would not easily be able to return. The staff member, in a small act of kindness, offered them bubble wands as a consolation. We expressed our gratitude for her gesture, but the underlying disappointment remained.
In the end, Kidzania's glittering promises on their videos and website failed to materialize into a worthwhile experience. We were left feeling financially drained with little to show for it. It is with great certainty that we declare our reluctance to return and strongly advise others to avoid the disappointment we endured.

To rectify the numerous issues plaguing Kidzania, the following solutions are imperative:

1. Improve signage at the entrance and check-in areas, making it unmistakably clear for visitors to navigate the premises.
2. Prioritize customer concerns and complaints by actively listening and promptly addressing them to ensure a satisfactory experience.
3. Implement clear signage and designated lines for different age groups, using numbered spots to indicate group sizes and starting points, streamlining the process and minimizing confusion.
4. Conduct comprehensive training for staff members, emphasizing the importance of professionalism, courtesy, and respect towards all visitors.
5. Provide a designated space for parents that includes windows, allowing them to observe their children's activities without feeling isolated.
6. Allocate a separate area for school groups to eat, allowing non-school visitors to have ample seating during lunchtime.
7. Collaborate with professional food service providers to offer high-quality, reasonably priced meals that meet customers' expectations.
8. Ensure clear signage distinguishing activities that require Kidzania money from those that require additional payment, preventing surprises and confusion.
9. Improve signage indicating where Kidzania money can be spent, facilitating a smoother shopping experience for children.
10. Offer a range of price points in the shop, allowing children to find items within their budget and ensuring their hard work pays off.
By implementing these solutions, Kidzania can rectify the issues and provide visitors with a truly enjoyable and worthwhile experience, restoring their faith in the establishment.

Worst day out I have ever experienced.

Worst day out I have ever experienced.
I’ve written a very through complaint to the company itself. Have since been offered a full refund but yet to receive it over two weeks later, and they have stopped replying to emails. I will be taking it further.
Here is a short summary of the issues
- Full of school groups left to their own devices, even the staff referred to it as ‘carnage’
- Nothing for the early years children to do (empty rooms or closed off activities)
- Health & safety issues. The pretend kitchen sink caved in and the cleaning cupboard (clearly marked ‘keep locked) was wide open in the early years area
- Queues were not monitored, school children letting their mates jump the line. Our children then had to wait significantly longer for activities before we started having to monitor the queues ourselves
- Staff totally unenthusiastic
- Music far too loud
- Nothing left in the gift shop for them to spend their ‘Kidzos’ on
- Overwhelming and disappointing for our kids. Numbers in the activities weren’t monitored, our child got hit in the face due to overcrowding.
I could go on and on and on. Read Google reviews for more.

Good For Kids.

There are only two reviews here, which is a bit odd considering the size of this concern. Strangely, one person thinks its rubbish, whilst the other thinks its great. So here's my attempt...
This in my opinion, is one of the best attractions for children, under the age of 14, within the whole of the UK.
If you like visiting theme parks, that take you to the cleaners, then feed you a captive diet of burgers and fizzy drink at great expense, don't come to Kidzania: as its not for you. On the other hand if you believe that entertainment can be mixed with education, both yourself and kids will not be disappointed.
I was quite sceptical about visiting, but was dragged along by my Niece, with her two little person's. I was immediately surprised by the set-up, and I'm not going to explain here (but look on YouTube). Its basically a small City run by Children with safe adult supervision. Well worth a visit, before your Kids grow to large to appreciate its importance.

MoneyZania - £10 to comfort your child

Today my little one was invited at a birthday party at KidZania - London. The host kindly offered to take my little one without me needing to join (more on this later), but my little one told me that she would like me to be around in case she needed mummy since she didn't know the other kids at the party. And indeed one hour into the party I got called because my little one was a bit upset and needed some mummy's comfort. I was at a nearby cafe and I rushed to KidZania, where a very rude bouncer told me I was not allowed through for "security reasons" because I didn't have a band. I told him that my little one was at a birthday party inside and needed some comfort, and after two-three minutes of very uncomfortable questioning about who I was and where I wanted to go I was finally let through the main entrance. I then navigated two floors up to the "check in" area where again I was denied entry for "security reasons" which will soon be very clear. I called the host and she brought my little one to the check in area where she expressed the desire to have me at the party since she was feeling lost. At this point it should have been quite clear to everyone that I had a legitimate reason to be in and I legitimately was parent of a child within the play area. Thus there should be no "security reasons" preventing me from going in. Nonetheless I was not allowed in and my little one was forced to go back in. I was told I needed to purchase a ticket for myself for £10 before I could be be allowed in. Thus it was not a matter of security but simply a matter of making a bit of money over a distressed child. It took me further 5 minutes, going back one floor down, to get a ticket and finally be reunited with my crying baby who was missing her mummy. If they can't understand the need for a child to be comforted when in distress this company has clearly no interest at all in the well being of the children they host, they are simply in the business of exploiting kids to make as much money as possible.

If you can make sure do not host your parties there, as every person I interacted with during this event clearly showed that there is no interest towards the kids or the parents, but just about getting money out of your pocket. My husband was waiting outside in the meanwhile and discussed a bit more with one of the check in people which was quite mean to him. After that he got approached by another dad telling him that he had to wait outside during his little ones birthday because they only allow one adult in, all the others have to pay. So unless you pay further extra, one of the parents will miss their child birthday. I'll make sure to let all my school know this interesting policy before they decide to hold their children party there.
