Just bought my 16th pair!

I’ve been buying and wearing Koio for 5 years now. I’m not kidding when I say it’s the only brand of shoes I buy and wear. I just purchased my 16th pair…
16 pairs, and every single one still looks and feels like great.

If I could give this company zero stars…

If I could give this company zero stars - I would! I ordered a pair of shoes after reading an online review and I was very hopeful. But the shoes were the wrong ones. The label on the box didn't match the shoes, and the shoes inside were nothing like what I ordered.

So I did an exchange, went to the post office, and when they received my return they shipped a new pair. But they shipped the wrong shoes again! Even after speaking with customer service, they shipped the exact same wrong shoes!!!

So then a manager contacted me and ASSURED ME if I wanted to try again they would give me a discount on the order and they would monitor the warehouse fulfillment to MAKE SURE the correct order was shipped.

You can guess what happened...EXACT SAME wrong order! How many times do I have to go to the post office to return their shoes???

Hi Jeremy, we are so sorry that you received the wrong item this many times! We've just sent an email letting you know, but it turns out a batch of this style was mistakenly mislabeled, which explains how this happened multiple times.

This has never occurred before, which is why we didn't catch this sooner, and we sincerely apologize. This is absolutely not acceptable, and not a normal experience with us. Our team is in the process of relabeling this style correctly, and we'll be able to send the correct item if you'd still like to receive it. As an alternative, we can of course provide a refund as well.

I'm also happy to arrange a pick-up so you don't have to go to the post office, and have sent a gift card via email as well for the inconvenience. I sincerely apologize for your experience here, and hope we can show you our usual top-quality level of service going forward. We look forward to hearing from you!

Love these shoes

Love these shoes. I bought two pairs and needed assistance with an exchange on one of the pairs. Aakifah provided excellent customer service, super helpful.

Great service

I got a product i was dissatisfied with (not the brand’s fault) and the customer service was very human and lets say they got another loyal customer now!

Great Product!

Just bought my second pair of Capri sneakers and I made an error in my order and noted the incorrect size. Customer service was great and helped to correct the issue. Much appreciate!

Thin Leather - Results in cracking

Loved the design of the shoe and easy to wear out of the box. However after a few wears the portions of the shoe that crease started to crack. The leather is thin and nothing compared to Common Projects or Oliver Cabells. It feels dry and rough to the touch. I've only worn these shoes out in the city and they are unwearable now due to what looks like spiderweb cracking on both shoes.

Underwhelming for this price point

Underwhelming for this price point. Bought the capri whites without laces. Fit is terrible, feels loose/not snug, thin material around the foot vs a thick sole, and the faux laces are cheap looking bands. Creases already appearing in the “leather” after 3 wears. Marketing is a 5/5, but value for money is a complete miss and wouldn’t recommend Koio based on the poor quality of the product.

Terrible Quality, Terrible Customer Service

absolutely terrible quality materials and equally awful customer support. I’ve had these shoes for a little over 3 months and the leather is already starting to tear and peel. This should never happen for the price point of the shoe. Customer support is not helpful whatsoever and will just offer you a discount towards another pair that will also degrade in 3 months. To anyone reading this I highly would recommend paying the extra few hundred for common projects, as the quality is a lot higher and the shoes tend not to shoe damage after years of wear. Really disappointed in the KOIOs I bought.

Koios are built to last for years, but this can vary depending on the extent of wear by each customer.

We received photos showing extensively worn shoes with some areas on the toe that had been scraped, which reflect manual damage. As we're unable to be responsible for external damage to shoes outside of normal wear, we did offer a gift card towards a new pair as a compromise.

We apologize for your disappointment, and hope you can understand. Our craftsmen use premium Italian leather, but if the shoes are worn in rough environments or scraped, they can sustain some damage. We appreciate your feedback, and are always working to improve both our product and service.

The shoes are the best. And their Lafayette store is awesome. Amazing and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

I hate writing positive reviews…

I hate writing positive reviews (because I always feel like that reduces the chances of the company needing to offer discount prices, lol),, but I just ordered my 6th pair over the last 2 months. I didn't expect to like the suede as much as I do, uggh.
