Thanks for the feedback — we appreciate your honesty. The $2 monthly fee is outlined during sign up and in our FAQs and terms, but we understand it may not suit lower volume users. For customers using more fuel regularly, the discounts generally outweigh the monthly fee ⛽

I like the idea of the 10 cents off my gas with the prices as they are. Wouldn't it be fair if there was some government control over what companies can charge in the situation we are in. They are still competing with each other which is ridiculous with the state our country is in. High food cost, rents, interest rates, gas it goes on an on. Some are denifiting from this.

We understand the frustration around NPD stations. Some NPD locations do accept Mobilcard, but unfortunately not all of them at this stage. We’re always looking at ways to grow our network coverage over time ⛽

Great fuel savings
Great fuel savings, easy to use app. Would be nice to have an option to increase credit limit on the app, given customer service only able to do this on a Mon-Fri.

Credit limit increases do need to be reviewed and actioned by our finance team, which is why they can’t currently be done through the app. But we’ll pass your feedback on to the team as we’re always looking at ways to improve the customer experience. Happy Savings!

I hadn’t realized l would be charged…
I hadn’t realized l would be charged for the card/s, there are no waitomo service station in my area, (Hornby) so of very little value to me. I would need to drive approximately 8km to get to a station, and none on my route to work which is in Rolleston.

Hi there, have you checked out our Kora map? www. kora.co.nz/kora-fuel-map/ You've got a few Mobil/NPD options available in those areas. Mobil in Rolleston and NPD in Hornby. Check it out.

Competitive discounted price, good value. When short of funds and an emergency trip arises being able to top up and use your card is fine.

when I signed up there was no mention of card fees or transaction fee, I used the card once, the discount was wiped out by the transaction fee then I got a monthly card fee so amount I paid was actually more than the discount, I think I would like to cancel my account and stick with the Gull discount which has no card fee or transaction fee

We do understand how frustrating it feels when the fees outweigh the savings, especially if you’re only using the card occasionally. The $2 monthly account fee and any applicable payment processing fees are outlined in our FAQs, Terms & Conditions and sign-up information, but we appreciate that it can still come as a surprise if you were mainly focused on the fuel discount side of things.
Kora tends to work best for customers who use fuel regularly, as the ongoing discounts generally outweigh the monthly fee over time. But for lower fuel usage, we completely understand it may not deliver the value you were hoping for.
If you’d like to cancel your account, our support team can help make that easy for you. Please email support@kora.co.nz with your customer details and they’ll get it sorted.
We genuinely appreciate you giving Kora a try and taking the time to provide honest feedback.
