I never usually write negative reviews, but this story needs sharing!

Lanes for Drains were sent to my property by Admiral Insurance's home emergency service. Our drains were blocked causing waste water to back up to the bathrooms. I won't mention the name of the guy, but he went upstairs claiming that a toilet there was causing the problem.

Job done he went back to his van. We tested the fix by flushing some toilets and it was worse than it had been previously, with kitchen sinks now also blocked.

I ran to the van and before he headed away asked him to come back and take another look.

This time tried something different and he blasted the drain outside with a powerful hose to find sand and sediment flowing back out. This led him to diagnose that we had a collapsed pipe under the house that would require us to move out so that excavations and repairs could take place.

A second opinion today by another contractor has shown that this was a simple blockage (fixed within 30 minutes) and had the Lanes contractor been looking in the correct drain, adjacent to the one he'd been investigating, he could have had this fixed in a matter of minutes.

I'd love to know how much Lanes charge Admiral Insurance for this kind of work! Steer clear.

On time, pleasant, efficient, clean & tidy.

This firm had been used by us before and sent a vehicle that was quite over sized. The operative had no idea what the task involved so was guided by my Business Manager (female) in my absence. The operative was very grumpy and moody and although completed the task involved was not a pleasure to have on site.

Lanes responded extremely quickly to an immediate need for assistance. We had never worked with each other before, but they made the best endeavours to arrive on site and clear our septic tank as a matter of urgency.

Don't actually know what they did today! They turned up at about 4pm and sat in their vehicle for about 20 minutes. Then they went into my back garden, w/o announcing their arrival/knocking on my door. I went out to greet them and they said they would need to access drains from a neighbours property and left. Don't know what happened thereafter or whether the problem was resolved. They left without advising resolution status. Worst Lanes Group crew that I have so far encountered....

I had a drainage problem at my property. Lanes studied the reports and visited the site. They quoted for the job and sent a team of four for two days. The team were helpful, told me what they were doing and were careful about my property. They checked the work and sent me a completion report. I'm pleased and am happy to recommend them.

Lanes for Drains (Aberdeen Depot) were fantastic to deal with from start to finish. Excellent communications with Mark Morrice who is impressively customer focused and superb on site work by John.
Never easy to get 10/10 but this experience was definitely superb.

Michael from this company was an absolute pleasure to work with. He took the time to understand my project and asked questions that made sure he had a thorough understanding of what I needed. With his expertise, he provided me with a range of options that best suited the project rather than trying to upsell me on the most expensive option.
His customer service skills were top notch and he was extremely friendly throughout the entire process. I

Drain camera survey, carried out on job agreed date, verbal reports and drawing of drainage lay out given on the same day.

Lanes were able to provide a same day call out. The engineers, Charlie and Andy were dedicated to finding a solution to the problem. They were knowledgable and professional. I would recommend.

Excellent work by a very friendly crew.
However the price paid for such little work was
Disheartening. I did not realise how simple the work was as I envisaged a larger scale of work on the drains.

Operatives were very polite and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them.

Quick response-understood our requirements exactly and completed the repair to a good standard.

Always great service from Barry and the team in Sheffield. We had a really short notice job that he fitted in. The guys came did fantastic work no fuss or bother would always highly recommend.
