Complete scam

Complete scam. Somehow I was signed up to their service. There was no second level authentication (e.g. click here to verify that you want this). £4.50 was added to my mobile bill. When I queried it, O2 customer service that they were aware of companies like this, refunded me the £4.50 and placed a bar on third party payments on my mobile number. They also gave me a number to call Lasevia and check that I had been unsubscribed. This number was actually a "messaging service" and not anyone to do with Lasevia. They said that they could take a message and forward it to Lasevia but then I would have to give my mobile number and name and, probably, that would constitute "just cause" to contact and/or charge me again! The company itself is listed to an address in Cyprus! Completely disgraceful that they are allowed to do this and are not reasonably contactable from within the UK.

Short Message Scam

Can't really add anything that hasn't been said here already because it would seem it's clearly how this two bob outfit Lasevia Listen2books roll.

I was on my phone sat in our motor outside Marks's Food Hall waiting for the missus reading about the German national team's continuing demise, this time an immensely satisfying three-nought thumping by the Orangemen in Amsterdam, on a German news site called thelocal.de which was all cool. Then all of a sudden I had this old pony pop up appear on my screen, followed by a couple of SMS text messages consisting of one being a 'receipt' thanking me for subscribing to a £4.50 a week service that I most definitely didn't subscribe to and the other being a password for this said service, not cool!

I called the 0330 customer service number supplied in the 'receipt' text and quickly managed to cancel what amounted to a stripe-up I hadn't even agreed to within the options followed a quick call to my service provider O2 to raise the matter.

The helpful young South African person I spoke to who was called Donnelle put an immediate block on any further charges incurred by this mob and said he would also credit me back the four 'n half quid I would most likely get charged in the near future. Fast forward 24 hours, I checked my billing app and sure enough there's a rogue £4.50 charge showing but having called O2 once more and this time speaking to a nice English girl in Yorkshire she's reassured me I will definitely get it refunded on to my account before the next bill manifests.

When I asked her why their systems allow such blatant theft she pointed out that some customers do actually want to subscribe to these services which is all well and good if you get the option to subscribe to them which I obviously didn't but then again 'there's one born every minute' as my old man used to say I suppose.

To sum up Lasevia Listen2books are absolute crooks and thus need to be incarcerated in a North Korean prison camp where hopefully they'll be treated in the most sickening inhumane manner imaginable, even then that would be too good for them alas #justsaying

Scam. A website popped up on my phone browser, I then received 2 texts saying I had signed up at 4.50 a week. I had to text STOP and had to pay for the privilege. Total scam artists preying on people. Should be ashamed of themselves.

Premium rate scam text message

Today I got scammed by txt message for the first time in my life. I'm not entirely sure how it even happened. One minute I was typing in a web address for dog friendly pubs, the next thing I know I'm receiving txt messages saying thank you for subscribing to listen2books at £4.50. What the f***????? There was a number to txt STOP which I immediately sent a txt to. I then got onto my mobile phone provider who was able to confirm that by txting STOP I had unsubcribed myself, but for further protection they put a block on premium numbers which will help stop this kind of thing happening again. This is blatent theft. I did not give my consent to being charged £4.50 and I did not log onto listen2books or register my details. I don't understand why the regulation services are allowing this to happen. My advice would be - if you receive one of these subcription text messages then txt STOP to the number they provide, this will cancel the service and save you being robbed of even more money. Also call your phone provider and get them to block premium rate numbers.

This company is a scam.
Slightly misjudged a press on my phone screen when closing down a window only to be signed up to a £4.50 a month subscription. Contacted my operator to ban further charges but doubt I'll get my £4.50 back without significant effort. Be very careful.

LASEVIA IS A SCAM

As the growing list of fellow complainants have said about this company... It’s a scam, which is not easy to detect. They have an arrangement with your mobile phone service provider which adds a subscription to your phone bill. I have absolutely no recollection of signing any agreement with these weasels and there is no evidence to suggest I have... My service provider 02 are hopeless in explaining and helping then pass the book to this company.
They have been taking £4.50 a week directly from my account and currently totals £95.00.
O2 were so kind to bar any more money but what the hell are these service providers playing at?? Allowing these criminals to take money from their own customers. They to obviously benefit financially from this!

Mobile phone Scam

Never have had anything to do with them then suddenly text messages to say i was subscribed through my mobile phone at 4.50 per week. Then text STOP to be unsubscribed but money has been billed to my mobile phone account. O2 have put a bar on this to stop any future occurrence and yes completely agree with other users.SCAMMERS have nothing to do with them

I never asked them to activate my phone number to pay for things without my consent. Told me to call these scumbags for a refund which i was not prepared to do. Charging someones mobile bill £4.50 a week for literally nothing week in week out unless you have a decent network provider.

Do not touch anything with their name on it you will most likely be robbed of some of your hard earned cash, they also do not have a customer service line in which you an discuss any of the charges they have unknowingly to you placed on your account.

This is a scam company

This is a scam company ran by a mix of Irish and British nationals based in Cyprus.
They charged me for a service that I never subscribed to. The "payforit" service, that is jointly owned by the service providers (Three, O2... etc...) is used to charge customers via text message. The company is not able to provide me with any evidence of a contract, a click, an agreement between me and them.
Three, my service provider, benefit from this (owning payforit and probably getting a cut of the charges ILLEGALLY charged to their customers) has no incentive to stop this from happening and they don't provide any bar on getting future charges from payforit. Furthermore, I am suspecting that they are breaching GDPR rules by providing my telephone number to those scammers based in Cyprus (EU).
You can contact them via email to their support or call them (vut they will charge you for that) and ask for refund via paypal. I haven't received any refund yet. I wouldn't suggest to give your bank details to them. I will raise a complaint with ofcom (the UK communication regulator) and the Ombudsman Services for Communications.

Scum Scam Artists

I was (without my knowledge or consent) subscribed to an Lasevia audio books service and charged over £22 per month via my mobile phone account. Absolute scum who make it almost impossible to get your money back and the phone companies aren't much better.

Im a vodafone customer and the exact same has happend to me £4.50 a week for over 3 months i rung voda and they have give me there number to ring and i did and they said they will cancel my subscription and will get a call in the next 2 days to discuss a refund!!! Thieving scumbags!!!!

SCAM ALERT 🤬

Had to do one star as I couldn’t do none. They are scamming people’s money for a subscription that I never signed up to, taking £4.50 out every week not month. I’ve just gone to psauthority to try and retreave my money back. If that doesn’t work they have a solicitors letter by the end of the month 😡
