My partner and I have now used Legal Zoom for a sale, a purchase and a remortgage. Working in the property industry I've had many dealings with many solicitors and I can honestly say that the team at Legal Zoom have been fantastic. Tracy Desdune who dealt with our sale and purchase was always on hand and able to reply to emails and queries in a timely fashion. She was transparent throughout and always let us know where we stood on both the sale and purchase and gave us updates on the rest of the chain. When we remortgaged another property of ours, it was overseen by Charlotte Nowak, who again was excellent in getting things communicated quickly and clearly. We knew exactly where we stood and what was expected of us at all times. They are both a credit to their profession. The online portal made it easy to input our information and upload documents securely (far better than some of the methods of old that many solicitors still use, having to post everything, which slows things down!). The final mention is to Dharmy Chana who oversees the operations at Legal Zoom and there were a couple of last minute snags on our purchase that were completely out of our hands, but he took the initiative and dealt with them and got them sorted in plenty of time for us to exchange and complete on schedule. I wish all solicitors were this personable and professional and i want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all 3 mentioned and their teams! Good for an online conveyancing but you need to really keep them on their toes to keep the file moving otherwise you might be waiting for months on end

Solicitors generally have a reputation of being slow, lazy, not always helpful and lack communication when needed most. LegalZoom were anything but all these things and more.
My case handler (Megann) was always available when required, very knowledgable, and filled us with confidence in her ability to handle our sale and purchase. LegalZoom had everything wrapped up for us to the point of completion in 8 weeks, and made the whole process incredibly painless.

Obviously from reading the other reviews some people have had a good experience with Legalzoom. Unfortunately I didn't. I had a relatively simple case, first time buyer buying my property and I was not in a chain and no mortgage, however it still took 3 months to go through. Throughout the 3 months, I was not updated by my case handler on anything, only when I emailed her for an update or put in complaints to the feedback team by email was an update received, and then limited information provided. My case handler only phoned me once during the 3 months, and that was after the customer feedback team were contacted by me. My case handler didn't seem to care that this was a big life event for me, but for her just a job... The web portal provided no information, only after 2.5 months I had a message on it telling me my case handler had been changed....to the one I had been dealing with for 2.5 months! Pointless! Lots of other niggles but the final straw was the completion statement that shows the fees that will be deducted from the sale price. My case handler sent me this a week or so before completion date to check it was correct. There were a couple of errors on it, and I asked if the service charge owed to the managing agent would be updated as i had been paying them instalments monthly and so the figure to be deducted was decreasing monthly. I was assured it would be updated nearer the date. I even sent them an up to date statement before the completion date to show the new figure and had a response to my email. So imagine my annoyance on completion date (when I again had to prompt them for the statement) they sent me a statement showing incorrect figures again. I emailed them straight back and never had any response. The figure that went into my account was then a completely different figure again. Long story short I was out of pocket, thanks to the case handler not doing her job properly, or even bothering to rectify or reply to my emails after completion date! 3 weeks ago (on my completion date) I emailed their complaints team and after re-writing and amending the statement and showing them their errors, I have finally received money that was owed to me (waiting 10 days for it to go through btw). No apology or acknowledgement that they did wrong though out all of this. I'm happy that I now have a correct completion statement and the correct money in my account, but unfortunately I still have to deal with Legalzoom in a year's time to try and get back money that was retained as part of my sale......I'm sure that is going to be fun! Basically the 3 months were very stressful for me due to a total lack of communication and I wouldn't wish that on anyone else. I would also advise anyone who is using them to triple check the fees/completion statement otherwise you may be given the incorrect amount owed to you.

Dharmy and his team were fantastic in facilitating the transaction. They really pulled out all the stops and worked very professionally and did go over and beyond the norm. This would not have happened without Dharmy, Tracy and Bina.

Proper up to date solicitors that has a reliable team that use up to date technology. The online portal was great and meant everything was done remotely for my house sale, with plenty of chats on the phone to keep in touch and discuss progress. Really impressed with them and not like the other 90% that use very old methods. That aside their people are really helpful and reliable, will use again next time I need to.
