Lincolnshire Pond Plants Ltd Avis 

I bought lots of pond plants. Each one arrived in excellent condition and exceptional quality.

I just wanted to add my voice to the clearly growing disdain for this companies pre-order plant service. I placed a substantial order last September for delivery in March of this year. Not only have they not arrive but I have received no communication from the company at all. If it is the case that plants advertised as 3 Ltr are being delivered bare root as others have attested I would suggest that demonstrates a clear intention to mislead the customer. I would encourage people to report this to trading standards uk and will do so myself if that turns out to be the case when my (or if) my order finally arrives

I purchased a small pond starter kit from Lincs Plants, and the entire experience has been incredibly frustrating.

I initially received a notification stating that my order had been shipped on Monday via a 48-hour delivery service. The package didn't actually arrive until Saturday. When I contacted customer support, they informed me that the plants hadn't actually been shipped on Monday and that the initial notification was just an "automated response."

Regardless of the exact day they finally decided to hand them over to the courier, the plants arrived in very bad condition and look completely unviable. They were severely degraded and are highly unlikely to recover.

When I requested a refund for the poor condition of the plants, customer support apologised for the state of the plants and blamed the situation on being busy, but ultimately declined the refund. It is entirely unacceptable to issue misleading shipping notifications and then refuse to take responsibility when live plants arrive dying. Very disappointed. Avoid ordering online from them.

Arrived on time which is surprising for the Royal Mail. Water lilly kit comprised of basket, soil and stones which I was not expecting. All plants look healthy. Previous contact was excellent.

Really good quality plants supplied. Well established with strong roots, they have grown away strongly since being repotted on receipt. Well packed and arrived in good condition.
A very good range of pond plants available at keen prices. I've used Lincolnshire Pond Plants for years, and wouldn't go anywhere else for pond plants.

BEWARE. I ordered plants in January for guaranteed delivery in March 2026. March 2026 came and went so I sent them a polite email to ask when the plants may arrive, they advised the weather had caused growing issues - I thought that was fair enough and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Two weeks passed, so I emailed again and the 'plants' arrived two weeks after that, at the end of April 2026. They were advertised as pot grown '1 litre' and '3 litre' plants but arrived as shrivelled, mouldy and tiny bare roots. I was so dissapointed as this was not what was advertised. I emailed with pictures the same day they arrived, but was advised mould is completely normal. I asked for a refund, but was told I would need to return the roots at my own cost. Please don't order from this company as the roots were unusable, goods were not as described, they arrived a month late with no contact from the company and the customer service was very poor.

Just bought a water lilley to finish off my
Small ornamental garden pond. It was ordered online on the Saturday dispatched on Monday arrived on Tuesday. The plant has a very substantial root base it was already established as a growing plant and now languishes in my Pond😃 packaging and instructions were excellent. Delivered by Royal Mail will definitely use again

Nice healthy plant delivered on time. Bought through eBay and had lots of updates. Would definitely use again!

Ordered plants Oct 25 for delivery Mar 26. Chased April/May 26. Partial order arrived May 26. 10 missing plants. Sent query. Told plants not good enough to be sent.....NO EXPLANATION or refund. I can't get a refund from PayPal as over 180 days. LincsPondPlants will not send me a cheque, so they have stolen my £. Shockingly dishonest company who should be ashamed of themselves. I can't believe they are still getting away with this when you see all the other bad reviews!!
22nd May UPDATE - you say in your reply to contact you. I HAVE ALREADY DONE THAT and you have done NOTHING. All I want is a cheque refund. Hoe hard can that be??!!!!! Useless company which just parrots the same responses to everyone.......Pathetic customer "service"

I have a brand new wildlife pond and so happy with the plants I've purchased from Lincs Plants. They arrived well packed and very healthy looking. When I needed advice.they were extremely kind, patient and very knowledgeable.

I am yet another mug - much the same as the other negative reviews. The order was placed in Jan as a pre-order for a March delivery. Ineterstingly the despatch date is the similar as others in these reviews - i.e.on 6th May, so I wonder if a whole batch were bagged up and then just left at the back of a warehouse somewhere. The royal mail tracking said despatched on the 6th May but not received by Royal Mail until the 17th may. Arrived in a desicated and shrivelled state with no hope of recovery. Just like others I am an experienced gardener and know what bare root plants should look like. One type of plant was advertised as being in 3 litre pots but had obviously been grown in a 9cm pot and then just pulled out of the pot and thrown into a plastic bag. Like others I have been fobbed off and told the plants will recover if planted up - Like others I complained and sent photos but was told that the only way to get my money back was to post the plants back to them. I suspect I will never see the £103 back! Avoid at all costs.

Ordering was easy, description is exactly what has been delivered, plants are in very good condition, box also contained a basket and underwater soil for planting and even plenty of gravel to cover. Absolutely chuffed to pieces for my first purchase on a new pond

Yes, I am another mug! Placed my order and received a confirmation email on 6th October, saying "We're getting your order ready to be shipped."
On 5th May, I received an email saying that my order had been shipped via Royal Mail, Tracked 48 on 13/5/2026!
I had forgotten about my order and thought this was a scam. Received another email saying they were unable to send one of the plants. I did contact them, and they apologised for the
peculiar email and that my order would be delivered on the 18th.
It did arrive on time, but the plants were in dreadful condition. Three were dead, and two were almost dead. One was missing. All were tiny.
I contacted them to complain, with photos, and today I received the standard message that many others have. Fobbing us off. Sophie did promise a refund for the missing plant. She seems to think that the dead plants will miraculously recover! I've been gardening for over 60 years, and I know a dead plant when I see one.
PLEASE AVOID THIS DREADFUL COMPANY

Plants arrived quickly in good condition, well packaged and good value. Peter the goldfish ate the previous ones and says they are delicious. Gloria and her Guppie family, in a separate tank, are using them for.. ahem... breeding purposes. All good!

Years ago I made a pond and bought all of my new plants from Lincs Plants with impressive perfect service, the plants survive to this day.
So on 21st February when a notification popped up offering a pre-order for Hardy Geraniums - which I needed to fill space in a shady area, I was very happy to order from them.
I paid £19.83 for SIX plants including £6.00 postage.

Today, 19th May, just ONE shrivelled up poor old twig arrived - there really is no sign of life. I have given the benefit of the doubt and put it in compost but it needs a miracle.
Before anyone lectures me about bare rooted plants, I am fully aware of the appearance on arrival, Farmer Gracy are experts at this. I have now hastily ordered what they have left of their Hardy Geraniums.

Lincs Plants emailed me to let me know that I should expect only one (Sanguineum) and have refunded £11:79 so I have not only paid for a twig @ £2.04 but also £6.00 postage. This is not so much about the cost - which is very low but I had planned where to put these very useful fillers in my garden, so it is the inconvenience for me.
They need to just stick to pond plants and perhaps employ either more staff or better staff.

Reading another comment on here, I do believe that this is either some sort of con / scam or just plain incompetence. Whatever it is, customers do not like being taken for mugs so I will NEVER order anything from them again.
However, I can recommend Farmer Gracy!
