Scam!! Avoid at all costs. Was quoted £49 plus vat on the phone for a simple job. When they arrived in a beaten up old car they then say they are going to have to “destroy the lock” which seemed very excessive. He ended up quoting about 3 different prices in the space of 5 minutes but ended up being able to reach through the letter box to unlock the door! No work was done and I was charged £180!!! I will making a charge back on my card. Absolute scammers

Please don’t use this company, quoted £49 for a call out and if it was a simple fix that would be the price. Was told they would be there in 30 minutes… after 2 hours and 30 minutes goes by he arrives. Breaks the lock (which was needed) but then says the replacement “mechanism” is £170+ VAT. I asked him to open the lock to see if that was the problem, he did and confirmed that was the problem. I took a picture of it and put it into Amazon and prices were coming up from £20-£70 so I knew he was having me on. As I asked questions he got agitated and then said he has another job to go to. Out of desperation I asked him if I could buy the part off him and try to fix it myself. He said Yeah. It it will cost you £150. So I told him to quote me for what he did and I’ll fix it myself. Diagnosis+breaking the lock £96 including VAT.

I Went to an I dependant locksmith and he confirmed he was ripping me off and the entire mechanism does cost £170 but the part I needed only a replacement “gear box” which was 58 quid. Thank god I did not buy it from him.

Absolute scammers, I would hate to think of how many vulnerable people he has scammed before.

Used this horrendous company today. Originally said 100 to gain entry to the house and replace lock. Wasn't ideal but said ok. Turned up and demanded 350. Said no. Had no choice but to say just break in and charge me for that. Wanted 125 plus vat for it. Robbers. Went on to break my beautiful 1930s wooden door. Absolute scammers iv essentially paid for them to ruin my door. Would of been much easier to get my father in law to barge it open. Avoid. Also the customer service is disgusting. They are rude intimidating. Guy on the phone said I was disrespecting him by speaking to him the way I was. Apparently as a women I didn't have the right to complaint to a man. Idiots! Reporting to police for fraud and trading standards

Just a bunch of scammers!!!
Called today, they said they will be coming in 14min. After 1h no one showed up, so gave them a ring again. They said they are late and would come in 14min. In meantime managed to get in to the house thanks to the next door neighbour roofing guys.
I called back politely to tell them no need to come. On what they cut the line and sent message with the cancellation job fee. Just another nightmare scamming company.

Do not use this firm. It is a scam. As in all the other reviews they claim a low turnout rate and then charge you through the teeth for extras. My bill ended up being £712.

my sister was locked out her house with two babies inside yesterday and a man turned up after she said she didn’t require his help! He was very forceful and completed the lock change when she told him not to - I later phoned and got through to people that kept putting the phone down and calling me a c**t

I can’t imagine what these people are doing to elderly people!!!!

Minus stars if I could I also have just been scammed. My bad for not checking reviews but with all the negative feeling this company and its owners will suffer in other ways.

Total scam over charged £500 for a £29 lock.

Charged £238.80 for taking out the lock surround as my door would not lock. Desperate and I panicked. But feel old and stupid for being ripped off so badly. Will get at 'Real' company out tomorrow

Wow! I have just been changed £500 for changing a lock! Honestly I wish I read the reviews before I called them. Don’t recommend them.

Terrible terrible set of people. Told me I have to drill my door open and I said it’s a rented apartment, and I can’t do that, he said I should pay him £60 as cancellation fee and I told him I can’t afford him then he threatened to send a letter to force me to pay and blamed me for not asking about cancellation fee on the call. The customer service representative was rude as well, kept talking about I need to pay because I don’t want the service. why are they even the first result on google when you search locksmith near me.

Terrible service, awful attitude offered on the phone to repair your lock and didn't have any with him even when he knows which lock already we needed. Dont know how to speak to people even asking you to shut hp!!! Avoid!!!!

Will not provide any receipts whilst charging extortionate rates grabbed out of their pockets. Will completely ignore you once you pay. Be warned -
Not professional at all.

SCAM - DO NOT USE

Had to use the service once during an emergency. Went to contact them again and they tried to charge me double the price before even knowing what the service was, plus the guy on the phone was extremely rude. I shall never be using their service again and strongly suggest others also do not use their service. It’s just a ripoff!

Poor communication and incorrect advice. I contacted this installer to fit a standard Yale door security bolt in addition to an existing door handle. Despite being shown a photo, they repeatedly insisted the handle would need to be removed and that major adjustments were required, which is not correct for this type of product.

The explanations didn’t make sense, and the quote of £190 + VAT for labour only felt excessive and unjustified, especially given the misunderstanding of the job. Overall, the experience lacked clarity and confidence, and I didn’t feel reassured that they understood the work required.

Very poor service from a company which takes advantage of elderly people like me and, no doubt, all of their unfortunate customers.
I have asked for my money back as My door was in a worse state after their work than before.
I had no response and will complain to trading standards.

Messaged Tim on WhatsApp as found the number on their website, within 5 minutes he wrote back to me saying he’s available and asked me for my postcode after giving me a quote, all I needed was to unlock a broken window mechanism to witch he replied that he will come down around 5pm, it is currently 8:33pm and still no sign of Tim or a message, will definitely try other companies because as a customer I’m told one thing then being forgotten about, if Tim does come eventually I will be turning them away as this is unprofessional, gives a time then doesn’t show or messages, waste of time especially since I spent hours out of my day waiting on the sofa for him to show up when he never did where I could’ve been doing my second job or anything rather than waiting for nothing

Absolutely abhorrent behaviour. Called these amongst a bunch of others to enquire for a friend. Had yet to receive a postcode so the guy said call back when I had it. In this time another, cheaper locksmith called back and agreed to attend. This guy then calls me incessantly because I hadn't called back. He then proceeded to become verbally abusive on the phone until I hung up on him. Definitely avoid at all costs!!

Awful attitude. Called a handful of locksmiths. Another company got back to us sooner. When this company did call back their attitude was abysmal when we said we got another locksmith. I understand it's not ideal, but that's business
