We specialise in short-dated and recently post-dated food and drink, which is why we can deliver such big savings. However, all of our products have best-before dates, not use-by or sell-by, and are perfectly good to eat for many months.

All of the best before dates are shown on the product page (under the add to basket button), in the basket page, on the confirmation page and in the confirmation email.

The confirmation email we sent also opens with the line "Hi Wendy, we're getting your order ready to be shipped. We will notify you when it has been sent. As we specialise in short-dated and recently post-dated food and drink, please check all of the best before dates on the products below and immediately notify us if there is an issue."

If you are however unhappy with any of our products you can always send them back to us for a full refund

We're sorry you feel let down, and we'll answer the review directly because the central claim in it isn't correct.

We sell short-dated and recently post-dated stock — that's our entire business, it's stated on our homepage, and it's why the savings are as large as they are. Every one of our products carries a best-before date, never a use-by or sell-by date, and best-before is a quality marker rather than a safety one. Crisps six days past their best-before date do not become uneatable overnight.

The dates are not small print. They're shown on the product page directly beneath the add-to-basket button, on the basket page, on the confirmation page and in your confirmation email. The confirmation email also opens by telling you we specialise in short-dated and recently post-dated food and drink and asks you to check the dates on the products listed and tell us immediately if there's a problem. You've now ordered from us twice, so this isn't a message you've never seen.

On the service point: you emailed us and we replied thirteen minutes later with a full explanation and a standing offer of a refund on return. We then received a second one-star review on another platform and a further email describing our service as disgraceful. We're not going to accept a characterisation of being ignored when the reply came inside a quarter of an hour.

The return offer stands and we will refund the items in full once they arrive back with us. That's the same process for an order of four items as it would be for an order from a shop — goods come back to us, refund goes out to you — and it's the only route available to us from several hundred miles away. That offer doesn't expire.

We're sorry this has been your experience of us, and we wish you well.
