A trustworthy company

My order arrived with a damaged package and a part missing from a torn bag
(thanks DPD!)
My initial contact to Maltings, via email and their own contact form went unanswered, so I phoned them to explain my problem.
The person I dealt with was knowledgeable and polite, telling me he'd dispatch the missing part to me.
It was on my doorstep the following morning!!
So a first class response from an established family company.

Great service, parts quality and value.
I like that you can speak to the team if you prefer, and e mails gets a quick, courteous response. I had one minor problem with a part which was dealt with very effectively and is testament to great customer support. Will definitely use again.

Great Service and products - Forget the others

I have ordered from Maltings a few times and their willingness to help me find the correct part for my aging Freelander 2 is beyond compare. I'd like to especially mention Luke (Parts Manager) as he goes beyond what is expected for an on-line business and has pointed me to high quality products which do not attract the LR premium. I'll continue to use Maltings 4x4. Deliveries are fast and the prices are very reasonable.

Competitive prices and good service

I have ordered many items from Maltings now. Their prices are always very competitive, the website clear, and delivery is always prompt. Customer service has been great on the only occasion I've had to contact them too!

I ordered a Range Rover under tray

I ordered a Range Rover under tray, LR 071011.
I thought I had the correct part number and double checked with Maltings. I was anxious because for some months it had been showing as on back order on other sites. I saw a recommendation to Maltings in a classic car magazine and they were showing TWO in stock!
Too good to be true? Not one bit! It arrived quickly, genuine LR part and fitted perfectly. Many thanks. Chris M

100% NOT recommended.

Purchased an item at 14-17 before the 3pm Friday cut off. Order only processed Monday. When I complained they replied with a lie stating the cut off is 2pm, maybe they should look at their shipping description before replying and apologize.

Im unsure where you have seen the cut off to be 3pm, as on our website maltings4x4store it states in the shipping and return page that order cut of time for orders to be processed is 2pm. Furthermore on eBay we don't have a cut of time as its a couple day service so eBay don't show a cut off time.

Please feel free to send any misleading data to my email when you get a minute as i don't want customer seeing misleading info.

Great company to deal with. Parts department staff are very helpful and efficient, nothing too much trouble. Very competitive prices on genuine Landrover parts.

Really please with the products, exactly what I had ordered and was delivered quickly, was well packaged and delivered with care. Prices are competitive, range is extensive. Would recommend.

Maltings Parts Manager Luke Greaves refusing to release my refund

Hello,
I would like to raise a concern with an order #35715 I made on your Maltings 4x4 website under my account "Joshua A***ne". I received the item and the following was noted.
(1)The sensor was NOT a genuine Landrover Sensor. It was an aftermarket sensor from BOSCH!
(2)The sensor was faulty. There was a broken piece inside the sensor tip.I have shared a video of the piece moving around inside the sensor on your email address.
(3)This is the second time i am getting non-genuine part from Maltings 4x4 that were advertised as Genuine Landrover. This is FRAUD.
(4) On 15th October 2025, i ordered a GENUINE 3.0 TDV6 LINK PIPE LR038751 JDE31279 FITS - D4-RRS-JAG, from your EBAY UK site, which was advertised as a genuine part. When i received it, it was an aftermarket part from CHINA with a part number sticker.
I am shocked that a company like Maltings 4x4 can go to such levels to defraud clients, this is very unfortunate from a British Company.
I checked the box that had the sensor and i noticed it had a sticker with the part number on a plain box and it was covered with a fake Landrover sticker. This is how aftermarket parts in China are packaged.
That part number i ordered was LR146855 but instead the box part number was different (T2H50986).A genuine part has a genuine landrover part number.
To that end, i am asking for a FULL REFUND of the money I paid for the sensor including the freight cost that i paid for the item to be shipped to me.
I want an apology from Maltings for knowingly enabling such fraud to happen
If i don't get my refund within 7 days i shall escalate this to the relevant authorities referencing UK's Consumer Rights Act 2015 (CRA 2015).I will also send this email to ebay to report about how fraudulent your organization has become.
This is the last time i am ordering anything from Maltingsds 4x4 and i am going to put this on Trust PIlot and any other consumer watch sites so that we restore integrity into the online ordering process. Please see the evidence attached.

After this experience I returned the part fully intact, Luke now claims I opened the sensor( Imagine that). I see he gave a similar reason for a customer in this review who had also returned their item. This is absolute fraud and it is NOT acceptable. I have sent him 3 emails asking for my refund and he is completely ignoring my emails. Luke Greaves and Maltings team kindly refund all my money. I don't have time for this. YOU sold me a faulty imitation of a part, claimed it was Genuine OEM, I have spent loads of money returning it to you and you go silent. As I said I'll now involve lawyers at your cost. Never buying anything from Maltings 4x4 and never recommending anyone to buy anything from Maltings 4x4... This is a clear sign of terrible Management. Luke I am waiting. This can get quite messy. From the reviews it seems it is a Maltings 4x4 culture

Thanks for contacting us,

Regarding order 35715, the supplier for JLR for most NOX and particular matter sensors is Bosch so I would carry out abit more research on your items before accusing fraud. When you replace the unit on your vehicle I hope this clears the matter up for you. JLR does not manufacture every single part themselves, they out source parts which are already available from other brands or ask other brands to manufacture these parts if its cheaper than JLR engineering themselves. Lastly if you take a look at the pictures you have sent us by email very closely the new sensor has the Land Rover and Jaguar symbol clearly visible on the item along with the engineering number, aftermarket and Chinese copies don't have these.

If the item is faulty or been damaged in transit due to couriers being heavy handed this is something that can be rectified as these things happen and can be resolved.

Regarding the link pipe, the item comes in a plastic bag with a nice big Land Rover Label on the bag so Im unsure how you have mistaken this for a "chinese part" if you need clarification for this your local dealer will be able to confirm along with our website pictures where it clearly shows the packaging style.

Next the labeling of the white boxed sensor is carried out by JLR and the confusion you seem to be showing between the LR146855 and JDE31279 is quietly simply the fact JLR list the item under a "Jaguar" and "Land Rover" parts number. So if you carry out abit of research into this or call your local dealer you will be nicely informed they are the exactly the same part and engineering number.

If you would like the sensor swapping feel free to contact us as we are more than welcome to rectify a damaged part as that is neither parties fault, and in the mean time I hope all your accusations have been cleared explained.

We have been extremely busy trying to keep up with customer demand and processing your return professionally and with caution as the item has been seen further damage by your self as you have taken the item to pieces for you own gain for some unknown reason. I have tried to ask why so we can figure out if the item has any further unfit aspects to the part but yet you still persists to not give me the answer.

You then personally attach a member of staff on this reviewing platform and persist to send abusive emails, which i will leave below

On what basis? Because i have exposed your dishonesty? Really?Do you have any values or ethics? What kind of manager are you? Because i have told you the truth about how you are ignoring my emails? I want my refund back by today. Why complicate a simple issue? It is my right to be refunded. You are personalising this whole thing. It is your JOB to run the parts department and not mine. I am gonna escalate this...trust me...if i don't have my refund processed i will make sure you won't have a job to talk about. I want my money back.
