The bags are useable, and designs attractive but they are of moderate quality and made in China. Nothing like what they purport to be. Worth £10 each. No more.

Couldn’t give no stars unfortunately
Couldn’t give no stars unfortunately. Bought a bag thinking it was a genuine company in Hay on Wye
I was so wrong. Bag eventually arrived after 2 weeks and was cheap plastic version. I complained saying what a con and was asked to send pics plus original packaging. I did this and all they offered was 20% refund and keep bag. I’m going to ask what credit card company can do to help. BUYER BEWARE this is a scam of the first degree.
The bag I have received is a huge…
The bag I have received is a huge disappointment to say the least. Where are the hand crafting skills they purport to use in creating each bag? Certainly there are none visible to me on the pre-printed fabric, only a machined running stitch across it. Also if this is created in a small workshop in Hay on Wye, then why has it taken 16 days to arrive from China.
I ordered this for a friend's birthday and now would not embarrass her or myself in giving it as a gift. It is cheap and nasty looking and they should be ashamed of the web of falsehoods used in their marketing. I strenuously advise people not to be taken in by their lies.
Shame on them
SCAM
SCAM. Same Chinese or American company under many different names. NOT hand made, mass produced in a sweat shop in Asia.
Disgraceful
Order arrived, nothing like the photo. It wasn't quilted, just a printed design and awful quality. I emailed them for an address so I could return for a full refund. They kept messing about, offering % back and i could keep the bag (which was only worth 10% of the price i paid)
In the end they offered me 80% refund and to keep the bag and i accepted and have received my refund. Warning to anyone else, scam company , do not use
Wish I'd read trust pilot first
Wish I'd read trust pilot first. Seen advert on FB, ordered a dragon bag which was supposedly hand made, padded and beautifully made by a lady in Wales. £25.00 sale price for what turned out to be a cheep printed bag, probablynade in China.. Avoid at all costs and don't waste your money like I did. AI pictures too.
Cheap printed Chinese import
I wouldn’t even give it 1 to be honest. My owl bag was printed and from china. I’ve tried for a refund with customer services. They offered me a small refund and to keep the bag. I refused and have heard nothing back I sent photos and sent everything asked for. I’m going to raise a dispute my bank tomorrow as 14 days since received.
This company is a complete scam
This company is a complete scam. It's also trading as Susan and LInda Atelier, and reviews for 'both' companies here on Trustpilot say the same: the product is cheap rubbish from China, nothing like the advertised images of comforting women artisans working away honestly in Hay-on-Wye. As I reported in the Susan and Linda Trustpilot review: Like many people on this website, I ordered one of these bags as a present for a friend. The emails that followed rang warning bells - ridiculously elaborate claims about their production and delivery system, followed eventually by a tracking statement claiming the item had cleared international customs (...from Hay-on-Wye?...) but not stating the country of origin. It's clearly completelty fraudulent. The bag hasn't arrived yet, but having read the reviews of 'Susanlinda' at least I'm primed for the disappointment. Don't touch these people, and discourage anyone else from doing so.
DONOT fall for this SCAM as I did
DONOT fall for this SCAM as I did, when eventually one of the two bags ordered arrived it was absolute TAT. The second bag has still to arrive, if in fact it does. These bags are made of inferior fabric and are no way quilted. The bag(s) will be going to a charity shop as there is no way I would be seen dead using them and even then I feel embarrased to be dumping such things on a charity shop
Scam! Very poor quality and misleading
First off, there should be a no star option on scams like this!
The website is an Al fake. Purports to be a workshop in Hay on Wye, Wales... but the goods are cheap nylon machine stitched products shipped from China. Still waiting to hear if there will be any refund, but judging from others' experience, that won't happen. I will go through my bank with a chargeback claim and go through the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline to report to Trading Standards. Trading Standards have the power to close down the fraudulent website... l don't understand why they haven’t already.
Complete scam
Complete scam. Posing as a handcrafted bag maker from Hay-in-Wye. Clever use of AI to make it look hand-crafted when it is nylon and worth about £5.
My own fault, caveat emptor and all that.
I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if I could. The bag has finally arrived, cost £35 . It is nothing like the picture. Just a flat 2 D printed image with some stitching. I looked up at Temu and the same bag is selling for £ 7 on there! I’m kicking myself for being taken in.
This firm is an absolute scam and FB and other social media shouldn’t allow these adverts. It’s false advertising in every way. I’m so annoyed but I won’t bother to try and return and get refund because I suspect it will only
cause me more impotent fuming. BUYER BEWARE !!!
Ordered and received bag costing almost…
Ordered and received bag costing almost £30.
The quality of the bag is very poor and does not reflect the advert on their website. It's just basically a slightly smaller supermarket bag for life. Very expensive for what it is.
Cheap tat from China
Cheap tat from China! False advertising!
Avoid like the plague! Huge scam!
Complete SCAM company - you have been warned
Con ... cheap Chinese factory rubbish that looks nothing like the website at all. Cheap printed fabric and the bag has no structure. They are not based in Hay-on-Wye and nothing is handmade.
If you want to return the cost starts at 20EUR (why if it is a UK company) and they don't refund "sale" items. As they are always on "sale" they don't refund.
They don't answer emails.
Total con - don't get got!
Applying for refund from credit card company as covered by UK consumer protection.
Absolute scam
Absolute scam, the bag is cheap plastic with a picture on it, no quilting whatsoever, total ripoff
Scam - avoid!
Unfortunately, I realised after ordering that this is a scam. I have now seen the identical bags advertised on different websites including Maples Stitches, SnugNest, Mega Craft, Madison Elara, Sarah- Cambridge, Temu, Maison Elara, Linda & Susan Atelier, Amazon & Curveline. There are probably more! The adverts are false, inaccurate & misleading. I received my bag today which (like other customers have described) is certainly not hand made & has been cheaply produced - probably in China. Hopefully, Trading Standards will catch up with them.
DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY. THE GOODS ARE NOT AS SHOWN IN all their photographs and reviews. I immediately tried to return and sent 4 emails in 3 days with no reply. There is no contact form with the goods delivered. No way to return, no return address. THIS IS A SCAM. The ladies holding the advertised bags are not holding what is delivered. I don't think there is a dear lady in Hay on Wye making them . The label codes looked like a warehouse order.
Completely false advertising
Completely false advertising. I do not believe these bags were made by one woman above a shop in Hay-On-Wye, I’m cross I fell for the SCAM, Like others I would give zero stars. My bag arrived today weeks after the order. It is definitely NOT hand stitched, as a sewer myself I know the difference between machine stitching and hand stitching. Clearly it has been made and shipped from China. Why don’t they just sell the bags for what they are instead of pretending they are hand crafted in the UK. It says 30 day money back but I am not hopeful.
ABSOLUTE SCAM
ABSOLUTE SCAM, SCAM, SCAM 💯 % false advertising.
Definitely not hand stitched above a book shop in Hay on wye nothing artisan about these bags. Not fast shipping as they are mass produced in China & come from China. You think 🤔 your getting a bargain from expensive beautiful hand stitched padded hand crafted bags when infact there cheap thin nylon machine made. If bought in sale NON REFUNDABLE OR RETURNABLE
Another con
As same as other people have said, not what I expected, i.e. not quilted and not made in the UK. Took a while to arrive, I have complained about the quality now they are asking me to send pics which i have, I've also requested a refund. Charlatans. They're not listed on Companies House, thinking of contacting Trade and Standards don't know what they can do?
