Floor mat for carpet, great product
Floor mat for carpet, great product. Came back for a second one. Just make sure that the right one for the floor covering is chosen. We have a reasonably deep pile carpet, and this works great.

My first time using matstores was positive
My first time using matstores. Quickly found item I was looking for (polycarbonate mat. Easy to order and prompt delivery. Satisfied with the mat. I bought in full knowledge that I would need to cut to fit the area it was intended for. Not too easy but got there in the end .cooks good on situation . Hoping it will stand the test of time and not soon crack as previous one , bought elsewhere did .

This product has a major limitation
This product has a major limitation. I ordered the Cleartex Ultimat Chair Mat in Feb 2025 based on the description of Plush carpets over 1/2". While my carpet and pad is over an inch it seemed like a good choice. Unfortunately this has cracked in many places in less than a year. Upon contacting customer service I was advised that: "The mat you have purchased is suitable for carpets over ½” including padding and we recommend this up to a maximum thickness of 3/4" (including padding). As your carpet is over 1”, this is likely contributed to the cracking of the mat." I asked why they did not have "UP TO 3/4" in the description and was told: "Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to put this information everywhere on our website due to character limits and space limitations." They will not honor the warranty as the edge of my desk is touching the mat which voids the warranty so they win. I would have tried the next level up mat however I cannot get past the ridiculous response from Customer service for why the description is wrong. Hope this helps someone else out.

The mat looks good
The polycarbonate mat that I chose appears to comply with its stated specification, but as I am not able to determine if it is actually made of polycarbonate, only time will tell if it resist the daily pressure from the wheels of my office chair which may take many years. I would have preferred to pay more for a thicker mat with beveled edges, but these were not available.

The mat you have purchased is made from polycarbonate, with this material you do not need as much material as traditional PVC for the same performance, so a bevelled edge is not necessary. We do offer a thicker mat, the Cleartex Megamat which is 5mm thick, suitable for us on all pile carpets as well as hard floors and does come with a bevelled edge. This mat is the thickest polycarbonate chair mat on the market and is available in the size you purchased, if you wish to look at this for a future purchase, this can be found on our website.

Im sending the matt back,the one I…
Im sending the matt back,the one I ordered prior if I hadn't destroyed the packaging I'd have returned it too.This last order I haven't opened but will be sending it back.The first one was on the floor as soon as I received it bd becer did flatten which made it difficult to walk on without tripping us.

We always recommend following the unrolling instructions enclosed in the parcel. PVC mats should be unrolled on a flat surface and weighted items such as books placed on the corners and centre area of the mat, allowing this 72 hours to lay flat before use.
