Maui Motorhome Rentals - Perth Avis 

Very nice. Our first ever camping experience and it worked great. Nice staff for check in and out. Good information and tips.

Wir hatten 23 Tage einen Maui Camper in Perth gemietet und sind bis Exmouth und Karajini gefahren. Für einen Maui zahlt man mehr als für Apollo und Co und dementsprechend erwartet man auch mehr. Die Übergabe hat uns garnicht gefallen denn die Dame bei der Einweisung hat immer und immer wieder probiert uns noch mehr Packages zu verkaufen und das mit Angstargumenten welche sich im Nachhinein auch auch nicht bewahrheitet haben. Zum bsp das es schwierig ist Tankstellen mit Adblue zu finden. Es waren auch einige Falschinformationen dabei wie das Auto hat kein CarPlay, Gas hält ca 20 Tage (was unmöglich ist mit Kühlschrank) und man muss spätestens nach dem 2. Tag wieder an den Strom. Auch was das Solar versorgt stimmte nicht. Wir sind eine Familie wo unsere 2 Kindern hinten am Tisch sitzen. Das die Tischverankerung kaputt war (haben wir vor Ort bemängelt wurde aber abgewimmelt)und der Tisch während der Fahrt immer rutschte ist ein absolutes no go. Bei Maui angerufen wurde uns gesagt sie geben uns eine Werkstatt die das fixen könnte. Es hat sich erst zwei Wochen später jemand gemeldet ob das Problem behoben ist aber nur weil wir wegen eines anderen Problemes angerufen hatten. Wir waren dann in Regionen wo es eh kein Sinn macht irgendwo ran zufahren und ausserdem verliert man wertvolle Zeit, also lebt man damit.

Wasseradapter hat auch gefehlt welchen wir besorgen mussten und die Rückfahrkamera fiel nach einer Woche aus. Mit der Kamera konnte ich noch leben.

Am ersten Tag lief Wasser an der Seite beim dritten Bett rein. Zum Glück schlief da keiner und das Problem behob sich von selbst. Eventuell weil wir in wärmere Gebiete fuhren.

Für das dritte Bett gibt es ein langes Polster (ca 2m)welches wir nicht brauchten da Eltern hinten und Kinder über der Fahrerkabine schliefen. Dies ist sowas von mühsam es jeden Abend zu verräumen. Gemäss der Einweisungsdame haben es mehrere Leute bemängelt aber der Chef will nicht das man es einlagert während der Zeit. Finde ich richtig schade.

Der Dichtungsgummi am Waschbecken war halb ab und im Sitzbereich waren einige nicht saubere Ecken. Wie oben geschrieben erwartet man bei Maui mehr.

Mit dem Auto hatten wir zum Glück keinen Reifenschaden oder ähnliches was am Ende das Wichtigste war.

Booking, pickup, and drop off were relatively easy. RV was pretty dirty at pickup.

Motor home has all you need for an amazing camping trip in particular with children, great layout, easy to drive around and also great for colder months with rainy weather. Spacious inside, comfortable beds!

Overall a really positive experience from start to finish with Maui motorhomes.
Hope to use them again for the next trip.

Pick up in Perth was really easy, and the tour of the van was very clear.
It was easy to drive and was fitted out with everything we could have wanted.

The motorhome was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and fully equipped with everything we needed for our road trip. It drove smoothly and made our journey enjoyable. The Maui Perth office customer service was exceptional!! Friendly, helpful and great recommendations including an insurance upgrade to include windscreen protection, which we ended up needing, so they saved us money as well. Every aspect from planning our trip, booking, the drive away walk thru and returning our camper was easy and we got amazing customer service. We will definitely be using Maui again in the future for road trips. Thankyou Maui Perth Team!!

The staff is friendly. A major problem is we called the road-side assistance hotline multiple times when our car needed emergency towing, but it was never answered. We had to call a tow truck ourselves to solve the problem. Even worse, the rental company refused to reimburse the expense because we did not get their pre-authorization. So what was the point of the road-side assistance hotline?

Booking process is simple and clear, pick up was very detail explanation covering all aspect of the vehicle, vehicle come clean and functioning well.

We hit a small issue of heater not working but was quickly resolve with the remote assistance team offering troubleshooting tips in time.

It’s really nice working with THL Team Maui, they are professional, customer centric and flexible.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first MotorHome holiday. We spent 3 weeks travelling WA and everything we needed was available in the van. The team at Maui were very responsive to any questions or support required before we picked up our rental and during our time on the road.

Great experience with Maui. They made it fuss free and easy for our RV adventure.

The only drawback was that the city water connection was disabled, so I had to manually refill the fresh water tank whenever it ran empty at the park.

selection and booking was good. Motorhome performed mostly well. Checkin could be improved for first time users.

It is clean and easy to drive. Great experience exploring Australia in this campervan.

Would have been good if had been advised that was not required to fill AdBlue, as spent 45 mins via 4 diesel stations looking for AdBlue either at a pump or in store bottles to fill tank.

The van was well equipped and generally the description matched well what we obtained. We had the medium level insurance and we did not include tires and wind shield and a tire related mishap did happen.

After driving a bit on day 1, we noticed that one front tire is a bit flat but not too flat to worry about it (also we inspected it and looked like there is nothing in it). On day 2 we went to the gas station and pumped up all tires to what was recommended in the manual. However, the next morning we woke up to the car which had two completely flat tires. We called the service line and after a few hours a technician was sent. Since we had no insurance on the tires we had to make the decision which technician is being sent - price differed greatly and the one that could come on the day was the more expensive one. It turned out we got a car with defective valves. We lost most of that day (1 out of 6 days of our trip) and were not sure if we would get the money back - even though the issue was definitely not caused by us which was a bit annoying and stressful.

The rest of the trip was fine. The minor issue and potential improvement could be better sound system at the back of the car while driving (basically the person sitting at the back could hear nothing - neither the music nor the people sitting at the front) - the 3rd seat at the front would make much more sense.

When we got back to Perth, it turned out we could get reimbursed for the tire service and we even got back the money for the lost day of the trip - which made up for our bad experience earlier in the week. However, it would have been even better if the tires were properly checked by the staff beforehand. The pick up of the car seemed quite rushed as well; the car was parked in between two large vans as well, and it was almost impossible to inspect it carefully before leaving.

The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We loved the experience of driving the Maui vehicle, which is declared 2 years under on the road.
We have faced few issues such are outlined below, which could have easily checked and rectified prior to rent out the vehicle.
- unlocking and opening the external storage doors are too difficult and lot of inconveniences.
- internal cupboard fittings were broken or dismantled. We were unable to use.
- one of a overhead cupboard door latch was broken.
- the vehicle front seats were lot of sweats marks while taking from the shop. We spent a lot of time for cleaning others sweats.
